Wagyu Bar Steak
grilled wagyu top sirloin, roast baby potatoes, sauce béarnaise, gem lettuce
Worst experience ever at a restaurant.
Bread was stale (In a French restaurant!), Frittes were cold, soda had no carbonation (even i complained and was brought a refill), roast beef was 30% fat and GROSS, restaurant wasn’t even 15% full but we were sat at a two top that was so small there wasn’t enough room for food so my girlfriend got her entree and appetizer first, then after she was done, I got my entree so she had to sit and watch me eat. Drinks remained empty for over half the meal. Mayo had so much lemon in it it tasted like a citrus dressing.
Bathroom only has dryers, no paper towels for hands, the handicap restroom lock does no work and there is a gap between the door and the diners 10 feet away.
Lastly Waiter assumed the male at the table was paying, put check down and said ‘thank you for coming sir’ even though we were splitting the check.
The only thing that was good was that the Mussels were delicious
A must visit for brunch in the city! Do not miss their Rosè spritz!!
Terrific Bistro food
Tables are small but the dividers work great
Wait staff lovely
The experience is great and the service and food were good, but this place is stupid expensive. $5.50 for a cup of coffee?
Way over priced and bad service from the waiter who wouldn’t come up to us at all
The best thing of the restaurant is the setting, ambience and Decor, it is truly a hidden gem in an unexpected place. The food was very nice, typical French bistro style, and the experience was nice. Staff was friendly but somewhat inefficient and slow, maybe it had to do with the table were we sat (in the farthest corner) but waiters never came buy and at some point we even had to stand up and go look for them!
The other thing I wasn't very thrilled about is that we were celebrating my daughter's 15th birthday, and specifically mentioned it in my reservation, but they were completely oblivious of the fact, I had to order (and pay for!) an additional dessert with candles...
I made the mistake of ordering the Skirt steak. The meat was like an end piece, tuff. My friends ordered the Filet Mignon which were cooked perfectly. Restaurant was great. I would definitely go back again. We did have a problem with service. After our appetizers came we had to wait over an hour for the main course.
This is our third visit and our first time sharing the cote du boeuf which was outstanding especially paired with the Medoc.
Very nice location, little pricey but very tasty
We arrived early for our reservation hoping to get seated, which we did! The servers were fantastic and the food was even better. It was a great way to celebrate two graduations!
requested a booth and was seated in a very private part of the restaurant. Lovely experience
Great brunch. Impeccable service. I would go back again and have even more items off the menu !
White asparagus dish ($28) was horrible- tasted like canned so very disappointed.
Fish dish (cod w/crab stuffing) - mediocre at best.
Escargot - good only bc of the butter & garlic they were sitting in...
On the positive side:
Steak tartare was very good. Drinks were excellent.
Dessert - choc mousse - was also good.
Service a little slow (everyone is still figuring out their staffing and the place was packed) but our waitress was excellent when she could get to our table!
Very impressive place. Food was fair.
But very slow service. A bit pricey for the quality of the food.
Fantastic atmosphere, food well priced- would certainly come here again!
Susanna was a great server. Very attentive and funny. The moules were very good and well packed to go. This is my 3rd time, first going with my son, then introducing my best friend and finally my husband to the restaurant. Beautiful atmosphere and good food.
We were excited to try this place as it looked beautiful and the menu was enticing. We love French food. We went for a birthday celebration, which we noted on the reservation but sadly the restaurant didn’t acknowledge it. The cocktails and service were excellent. The food was just okay. We had the onion soup, baked goat cheese salad, escargots and beef tartare. The ambiance was nice but almost cliché. We joked that it was like the France section at Epcot Center. I think it’s fine for drinks after work or for tourists. We won’t be going again. There are French restaurants in NYC that have better food and also less expensive.
The food was delicious (I had the wagyu burger). I recommend trying the La Vie En Rose drink, it was lovely and very unique. I will definitely be going back.
Beautiful place, looks like they promised " Joie de vivre"! French food delicious.Wine list excellent. Then come service - nonexistent. No long details, just nonexistent.
French fries with the steak frites were delicious! The French onion soup is substandard
Excellent food in a wonderful environment though a bit noisy
A wonderful dining experience. Ambience is superior. Food excellent. Pricey but you get what you pay for
Our night was anything but “grand”.
Greet staff very aloof and blah and unwelcoming.
Waiter was a newbie, but had no one shadowing him. Was soooo slow and made several mistakes with our order. No manager in sight. No one ever came to the table to see if things were ok. And no one offered any compensation for the errors.
We leave around the corner from West Village location. Very nice staff here.
All in all, not worth the trip. We will not be back.
The food and service was excellent! We will definitely be back in the near future.
We had a reservation at 8pm and unfortunately some things off the menu we wanted were sold out which was disappointing. However it’s a little understandable as reservation was late and it was Mother’s Day
More style than substance. The food was fine but not fantastic.
Good service and very relaxing atmosphere!
It was wonderful peaceful and Expensive but worth it Waiters are very friendly
Service was very slow, food took about an hour to come out. Simple drinks like coke and ginger ale needed constant reminders, cocktails took about 20 minutes. Food is overpriced for the amount and quality you get... the 2 wagyu steaks we got were very dry and tough, but the tomahawk was pretty good (but it’s also $165)
Ambience is very pretty if you’re sitting downstairs in the main area- avoid the upstairs. You can’t see much and it feels very stuffy.
Not a bad choice to come here for brunch and cocktails.. Not so much for dinner
Beautiful place to fulfill everyones eyes, food is extremely expensive for the quality. Not a place i would came back for the food.
I came here with my mom for Mother’s Day and it was perfect. Our service and food was outstanding, just like the ambience. I highly recommend.
What a superb Mothers Day brunch we had today! The sunwashed atrium was a beautiful place to dine. Food was wonderful, although service was a bit overwhelmed at times. Really looking forward to a return visit.
Great Mother's day, totally beautiful atmosphere. Food is hood but pricey for what it is. Overall, great experience. I would definitely return for a special celebration. Beautiful inside.
Poor service average food. Too expensive.
DO NOT BOTHER!
Great food as well as service. Would highly recommend.
Worst table I have ever had in my life !!!! I got up and left !!!
Not happy with the overall way things were handled, but when it came to the end, they were done helping before you even got dessert, no spoons or forks to eat with! The wine dumped on a friend, and the oh will pay for dry cleaning bill, instead of here let me take care of your dinner. Jeans and T-shirt. Is not getting a dry cleaning bill. Had get them to take wine off! It was great to get out, taking my daughter to NYC for her birthday! But I have no desire to try this again at all!
Exceptional - the space is stunning and the food was EPIC!
Dining here was the most incredible experience! Great place to spend your anniversary.
High energie brasserie with ample menu options. On the whole, food was very good. Best Caesar salad I have had in a very long time. Staff seemed somewhat overwhelmed, but we had a delightful evening and we’re very satisfied.
