Mediocre food for the price… serviced seemed very overwhelmed.
Requested outdoor dining, great ambiance, good lighting & plant decor. Dined as a group, asked Susanna our server for suggestions for shareable plates, upon deciding we were told the 'chef' prefers we place our complete order. Deciding on one of the larger cuts of meats the "Cote de boeuf pour pour deux" we were told it would take 25mins to cook such a large cut. Understood, we also placed orders for a salad, steak tartar, skirt steak, duck, & sides.
THEN - once we were served our salad & steak tartar appetizers, we waited AN HOUR for our main course to arrive, during that hour Susanna stopped at our table once to say "Your food will be out in a few minutes". Once the food arrived, everything was lukewarm at best. Nothing, nothing was hot, the duck was cold to the point the skin had pulled back and looked dry. When we informed Susanna that the food took an hour her response was that "It needed to cook", but then why was every item barely warm? The steak came out & the fat on it had already begun to congeal. At that point she offers to reheat this food, how do you offer to reheat >$400 of food that took an hour to arrive on our tables? She then exasperatedly put her hands out like so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ & said what would you like for me to do then? Then states she will go get the manager. The manager arrives & apologizes, & like a slap to the face offers free dessert. At this point, we explained we are on a time constraint & honestly we were not open to give them another opportunity to disappoint us.
The ambiance was nice, the food was seasoned well- we just wish it did not take an hour between appetizers & the main course, all for the food to arrive cold. We also wish the server had acknowledged the issue instead of avoiding our table. We shared our disappointment in the wait time and frankly their response. We paid our bill in full as Susanna hovered above us - we also tipped b/c we understand the other wait staff who served us did phenomenal jobs.
Excelente sitio. 100% recomendable. Una verdadera maravilla.
Food and service were excellent. Set outside and the ambiance was enjoyed by all. It was my daughter’s birthday and the family enjoyed it.
Food was delicious, but felt sommelier presence is to sell wine and not to bring the wine experience to the table.
9 yr wedding Anniversary
Just plain wonderful! Haven’t seen frogs legs on a menu for years! Super!
The food was wonderfully prepared and presented.
Our only criticism is that the music played was jazz and extremely loud. I politely asked our waiter to lower the volume but he never came back to our table stating that he asked for the volume to be reduced. The volume remained loud enough that we couldn't comfortably talk to each other. Perhaps try music with a French flair at a reasonable volume to make us feel like we're in Paris eating at a wonderful restaurant.
Food is superb; someone in the kitchen knows French cuisine. Noise is cacophonous; high ceilings in lobby where “outdoor seating “ is. Service prompt and attentive. Perfect location for pre-theater dining.
Was our first visit.Beautiful resturaunt and patio. Very pleasant and efficient staff. Food and drinks amazing. Highly recommend it !
Excellent spot for our anniversary dinner. Great food, service and atmosphere!
My favorite salad has always been the salade lyonnaise
Last night was the first tome I’ve ever had dinner at your lovely looking restaurant.. the frisse was not dried before dressing it, thus it was a very wet and watered down salad, the Lardon was grossly undercooked and flabby…. Very disappointing
The mussels were extremely over cooked, dry, shrunken.
The baguette was great, asked for extra butter, it never came… I ordered a Ranch Water, explained exactly how to make it… tall glass, 1 shot of casa Migos blanco, filled with seltzer , no ice and a lime… I was brought a tall glass with a shot of tequila, no lime , no seltzer … we ordered a side of mushrooms, they were okay, obviously cooked not to order and not very warm.
I was a chef for 20 years, 3 restaurants and a catering company, I know good food… loved the menu and was really excited about trying your place.. oh and there was zero toilet paper in the bathroom.. extremely disappointing meal
Terrific venue that especially suits our current social distance restrictions. Great service. You need more and better vegetarian and non meet options.
One of the best dining experiences. No need to speak French here. The outdoor setup was very classy and the atrium certainly allowed the restaurant to get away with that aspect.
The onion soup was very delicious. The roast beef au jus was also and the 12 oz portion was massive.
Service was excellent although I felt like it took a bit too much time to clear the table.
But will certainly visit again once in the area.
We enjoyed a very nice elegant lunch celebrating a spouse's Birthday.
A wonderful glass of French wine with several delicious French dishes; who could ask for better. The Pate was as good as it gets! And the service and ambiance matched the quality of the food and drink. We will definitely plan to return to this restaurant for another fabulous lunch.
Beautiful restaurant and wonderful outdoor seating. I have been three times now and the service has gotten very, very slow.
Food was so so but atmosphere was gorgeous. I am happy that I dined here once just to see the interior but would not return agsin.
We had a nice anniversary dinner. Everything was delicious.
we had a great time; food was excellent, atmosphere energetic; fun time by all
Always amazing food and service. The drinks are perfect. The food is some of the best in the city.
First time guest and was really looking forward to this experience since many people I knew have gone recently. I came here for work purposes in order to capture content for a promotion online. Sad to say food and service was underwhelming. Our entrees were severely under seasoned (Steak and eggs & Mussels). We were sat at a table near the service station when there was many tables open. Someone dropped glassware that broke near my guest and nobody came by to ask if it was okay. Service was as curt and subpar, which I wouldn’t mind usually but at this price point I would expect better. Anyways, there’s much better French food you can find in the city than here but I can see the allure due to ambiance and interior which was beautiful.
50th birthday celebration
Food was phenomenal, there was a tiny snafu with our order but the waiter and manager quickly rectified the situation. It was a busy Saturday evening so it made perfect sense. Every aspect of the dinner was perfect. Besides the amazing Steaks the Pistachio Bombé Glacee is a must try! I will be returning soon.
The ambience is very nice but this is a tourist restaurant more than anything . The food was edible but definitely not worth a second visit. The service was inattentive and slow. The place itself is gorgeous but everything else needs work.
Great vibe, very good bistro food and fun place to dine
Absolutely wonderful! We were a group of 5- beautiful setting- lovely outside table and while the restaurant was very busy, we had no trouble having a great conversation. From the time we were greeted by the 3 gorgeous hostesses and attended to by our wonderful server, we felt very well cared for/ the meal was delicious- beautifully prepared and very generous portions. Will return often with pleasure!
Superb classic French cuisine. Stellar bar staff. Absolutely brilliant sommelier who was extremely attentive and chose a perfect wine for us. Highly recommended.
Of the 10 days I was in New York, I had dinner there 5 nights. There were so many good things to try on the menu. Ask to be seated at Kelvin's station. He's the epitome of the perfect waiter. Polished. Professional. Personable. Goes out of his way to provide exemplary service with a smile.
the Vie en Rose first cocktail on the menu was delicious !
food very good , not exceptional, but good enough to recommend
tables placed way too close together.
Overall food was on point just perfection!!! Service was under par as it was extremely busy and our server seems to be training. So Bruch menu was grand on the fence about returning for dinner?
The restaurant is a bit overpriced even for NYC.
The indoor courtyard seating is very attractive though.
The restaurant is also not accommodating. Would not substitute blue cheese for goat cheese when requested even though they have blue cheese on the menu for other dishes. Also would not make Croque Monsieur with other bread other than sour dough.
Salads are not fresh. We had two different kinds and both had brown leaves and rotting leaves.
But two dishes are outstanding, beef bougonnions and crepe suzette.
My last experience here was not so positive, but thought to give brunch another shot. This time everything was tasty and as ordered (last time I had a tasteless quiche and it took three tries to get a toasted baguette). Our server went out of his way to make sure everything was correctly prepared. It's so convenient to MoMA, so glad we didn't cross it off our list.
The waiter was terrible. His attitude was draining and he was very unwelcoming. Unfortunately it set the tone for the whole dinner. I will not be returning to that location
Delicious meal in a lovely setting with great service.
It’s a beautiful restaurant but seemed very expensive for what it was. The food was okay not outstanding!
Food meticulously prepared.
Service was very good. Attentive without being intrusive. Very knowledgeable about the food, wine and beverage list.
Food was also very good. Steak was very tender, high quality and seasoned very nicely. French fries were perfect. Duck leg was super tasty.
Chocolate mousse dessert was fantastic.
Very nice atmosphere, we sat outside of the main dinning room, we look forward to sitting in the main dinning room for dinner and will be visiting their other locations in the City.
Thank you for a perfect birthday memory.
Excellent place to relax for a good meal, in the big City. Service was absolutely superb! My foo was prepared exactly how I wanted it and it tasted awesome! Although, the price is higher than I usually go for a Lunch, the food and service were worth every penny!
Have to tell the food is always good but yesterday it was outstanding- simple. Great products and tasty.
