Food was overall great but a bit on the pricy side. For the ambience and the service I think it was still worth it. We ordered snails and tomahawk steak. The steak was cooked at the right level and perfectly charred but the cut itself wasn't that impressive, with big trunk of fats. We also got glasses of white wines and they were very nice.

We attended La Grande Boucherie for a birthday celebration before attending a broadway show. Service was excellent, food was excellent and quick, and they made the Birthday extra special with a nice surprise.

Classic tourist trap. Nice old sort of open space train station. Poor quality food for the money! Poor service. Not worthy of spending an evening when there are so many truly wonderful and less costly places in NYC.

Sat at the oyster bar and the food was good as always, but the service was pretty poor. A reasonably uncrowded Thursday night and it took forever to get served. No one was really managing the oyster bar and one lady just left because they didn’t get her drink. What’s more, they forgot my steak frites. At that point I didn’t even complain, but moral is, don’t sit at the oyster bar. The oyster shuckers are NOT servers, but they are very nice.

Food came out weirdly quick, flavorless, chewy steak frites. Over priced for steak but did include cute book with some recipes for anniversary. Server seemed in a rush, or didn't come at all. Not usually picky but disappointed for a NY restaurant

If your looking for good French food this is not the place - very expensive French classics that get a C for taste and presentation - take the extra money and take a taxi up town or down town to get a real French bistro meal, not the Disney version of crowd pleasers they offer here. Sorry not Sorry .

Your wait staff was pleasant but they need to know when to interrupt when customers are in the middle of conversation. They should know to refill water glasses or ask questions without interrupting conversations. I am positive they will be trained properly to address this issue.

The food was very delicious. Whether you order steak, fish, or poultry you will not be disappointed. The appetizers were also great. The oysters were possibly the best I have ever tasted, buttery and melt-in-your-mouth smooth. Service was friendly though they forgot to bring one of our shared courses. We had amazing wine and a wonderful time. I will definitely be back here, by myself, with family, friends, and colleagues. They also have an excellent happy hour.

“Something happened” in the kitchen, so the manager just left us there for over 90 minutes. Guess the waiters felt guilty, because they ignored us too. Finally said we were leaving and they comped our $6 cappuccinos, which were very good. Stuff happens. Just keep people updated and don’t ignore them. It’s not hard.

The restaurant itself was beautiful so this is an ideal sport for a special date night or an Instagram-worthy dinner. We ordered two filets that were both delicious and the servers were very helpful about menu questions. While pricey, I would definitely come back and recommend this place to others!

Very quaint location that feels almost like a French cafe when you walk in. Food was excellent and came in a timely manner. Our Server Ozzy was very friendly and made us feel right at home. He gave excellent recommendations for cheese and wine.

The place itself is a feast for the eyes. All staff were very friendly and helpful and made you feel welcome and at ease. But the food... the food was exquisite! Best meal we've had in NYC. Amazing. Extra: when booking four weeks in advance, I gave instructions to come out with champagne to surprise my wife (it was her birthday) and the staff had not forgotten. Better yet, they went the extra mile and now it was not just a lovely dinner, it will be a memory for life. Thank you, LGB!

Brunch was disappointing and very expensive. Service was not great. I had to ask for bread even though other tables got it immediately, and then had to ask 3 different people for butter before we actually got it. When our meal came, they brought the wrong dish for my friend, so he had to wait for them to prepare the right dish. They did not offer anything to compensate us for the inconvenience, even though we mentioned it was my friend’s birthday (making it more unfortunate that they screwed up the order). I was also annoyed that the server didn’t tell us our meals came with potatoes on the side when I ordered a $14 order of fries, since the menu said nothing about a side and I assumed it didn’t come with one. Overall not a great experience.

This is a great experience restaurant. There's really no other bistro this big and bold in NYC that I know about. There are other smaller locations and there are other French bistros, but coming here feels like an event. (And it is priced accordingly.)
