I just HAD to come to La Grande Boucherie before leaving NY. I’m a really picky eater but I ordered the saumon rôti, which was perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside, tender and flavorful inside (it was heavenly with the cucumber). For dessert, the tarte chocolat et caramel was rich and decadent. Absolutely perfect if you love dark chocolate (like I do). The drinks were also excellent. Well balanced and beautifully presented. I was super indecisive about what drinks to order, but thankfully, my server Shannon and drink runner Maria gave me amazing recommendations that totally hit the spot. The atmosphere was warm, elegant, and lively without being overwhelming. Huge shout out to every host who came by to check in. They were all so thoughtful and made me feel truly welcome. And the server, along with the supporting staff, were fantastic, attentive, kind, and really on point. Thank you to everyone and I’ll definitely be coming back!

Excellent soup and nice crusty bread but the rest of the meal was a huge disappointment. The salade niçoise had cold, bland tuna, raw green beans, one small potato and tons of lettuce, the cauliflower pesto was under cooked, and the special dessert basque pistachio cheesecake was nondescript and tasteless.

Beautiful restaurant in Midtown on 6 1/2 Ave. Would not sit “outside” unless it was a warm evening since, although the space is covered, its open to the elements. Bar is top notch and has a happy hour from 2 to 7 which can help with the cost of the expensive cocktails. Pro tip: If you’re going to get escargot, it’s a real deal at the bar during happy hour. Dinner was good and service was attentive. Expensive but quite an experience.

One of the best culinary experiences for a brunch in New York. Absolutely recommended to start a good brunch, we decided to go with the seafood and land. Recommended appetizers: 1- Les Escargots: Snails with garlic, parsley butter, and shallots. 2- Wagyu Carpaccio: Wagyu peppered beef with arugula, lemon confit, olive oil, and pecorino cheese on top. For the main course, we opted for the *Plateau de Fruits de Mer*: oysters, shrimp, lobster, clams, and seafood salad. All accompanied by a glass of champagne for the best brunch of the day. The restaurant has Art Nouveau decoration and the best musical atmosphere.
