   We celebrated my sons 21st birthday at La Grand Boucherie and the entire team from our waiter (Brian) to his helpers and the management team were great. Especially a call out to Brian for all his recommandations as they were very much spot on.

   My first visit to this restaurant based on positive reviews by others during a business trip to Chicago. The pre fixe lunch menu is a tremendous value and the food was delicious. I chose the French onion soup with the Croque Monsieur sandwich dressed with a side salad. The restaurant was very quiet at 3:00, and I was immediately seated at a table along the front window and near the extensive bar. My disappointment in my experience was waiter Dmitry’s engagement with two attractive female day drinkers that precluded any attentive service for me. I would like to explore the menu further but will be more vocal about my time limitations.

   Food was delicious. Ambiance deserved 10 stars. Not really sure of noise level because I was there for a late lunch and it was not crowded. Looking forward to to going back for a dinner

   The place was EMPTY, and yet the service was ATROCIOUS! We were half done with our meal before our drinks arrived --- and only after asking about them and being told the server had them "lined up". We have had other lovely evenings here, but I would NOT recommend this place for lunch.

   Food ok. Nothing different from regular restaurants. It’s cheap but for the food they offer is not.

   Everything was great- food, service- and the restaurant is lovely. However, it’s very loud, there’s nothing to absorb the noise so conversation can be difficult. I would definitely return.

   I wanted to love this place so badly, but the food just severely lacks. They nailed the decor and vibe of a French restaurant but the food really disappointed. I started with the Wagyu carpaccio, but it was warm and salty, didn’t feel like any carpaccio I’ve had in France. The salt overpowered what I would assume was a good quality wagyu. I then went for the escargot, and while they nailed the butter there was no garlic or parsley. It felt like I was chugging pure butter with no seasoning, which is a crime for that dish. I was going to order the foi gras but decided it wasn’t worth trying for what I had already gotten. My husband liked his French onion soup, but said the only thing that made the wagyu burger solid was the pickle. I was really disappointed.

    This was one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. We had the beef tartare and wagyu as starters and it was delicious. I had the NY strip which was good, but my wife got the pork chop and it was easily the best pork I’ve ever tasted. For dessert I had the Carmel cheesecake and my wife got crème brûlée. All of it was absolutely delicious. We got the bill and it was less than I could have ever thought. I strongly recommend this restaurant.
