Fantastic food, charming staff, and a wonderful evening!
Fantastic food and service. Lobster Cobb was stunning, Asian Chicken salad was phenomenal. Lively atmosphere, attentive service, perfect in every way.
Not at this time : at a business meeting.
Mr & Mrs. Bello
We had an outstanding experience and lunch at La Goulue yesterday. The server and wine steward were exceptional. The owner/manager asked us how we were doing and if if we liked everything. The staff was attentive. It was one of our best dining experiences in a long time. We look forward to returning.
The best brasserie in town. Food is the perfect reflection of French Brasserie cuisine. Don't hesitate. Run !!
Wonderful to be back in the City for lunch again. This is the perfect spot. Good social distancing and protective measures give La Goulue an peaceful respite from the day to day. Would highly recommend.
Solid food - great appetizers, hearty mains and nice bar. Good environment to catch up with an old friend.
Service and food fantastic. Tried the sushi roll very good
Service was bad!!
Outstanding French bistro-style food and excellent service. Never cheap hut always good value.
Always enjoy eating at LaGoulue. Excellent food and service
Nice bistro, the food was good but not great. The price is OK
Mr. Daoud went above and beyond to make our evening wonderful. The food is always amazing and service impeccable
We haven't been to La Goulue in years and stumbled on it while walking one evening, so made a reservation for the following week, and so glad we did. The food was very good -- profiteroles, especially -- and the service was outstanding. I saw other commenters post about feeling rushed but I like prompt service. We sat indoors and I liked that the partitions dulled the noise just a bit. We'll be back.
A gem, we love every meal at La Goulue. Consistently a high standard!
The food was delicious, but the waitstaff was quite rude. My friend arrived before me and they showed her to her table. Shortly after I arrived, they were quite rude in telling her she had sat at the wrong table and might have to move. She was confused because she sat where they told her to? Five minutes later the host came back and said we were fine and in fact didn't have to move after all...
As many other diners have commented, about 30 seconds after ordering, our appetizer arrived. While half our appetizer was still there, our entrees arrived. The second our entrees were done the bill arrived. We had maybe 30 seconds and then the waiter came over to see if we were ready to pay. We were drinking and ordered expensive meals. It made no sense... it was not as if we were lingering past our stay, we barely even had time to eat.
That said, the food was delicious and this place is just pretentious.
Excellent service and wonderfully authentic French fare!!
One of the best french places in town, great food and service...wine list could have a few more options under $100
Thank you Mr. Daoud for all your assistance!
Lobster salad was excellent - perfect for an early Summer evening.
Aside from having a delicious meal, it had started pouring around the time we were done with our dinner and ready to leave. Instead of rushing us out, the host offered us each a glass of champagne to ride out the storm. Exemplary service!
Sunday night was crowded and noisy. When we were seated we were rushed to order wine. No printed menu. Service was lackluster. Food was excellent and tasty. The dessert we ordered was not up to the standard we had experienced in another French restaurant.
The food is good and so is the wine list. Not sure why they include sushi rolls in a French restaurant, but they did look good and lots of people were ordering them.
Only complaints were that the music tends to be loud, so it's not intimate, it's noisy. Also, they don't encourage a leisurely meal. We sat down at 6:30 and after 3 courses we were already home by 8:30. I get it -- they want to turn the table over, and maybe the point of the loud music is to discourage lingering. Still, at this price point, I'd like to enjoy their cuisine with less noise and more leisure.
Waitstaff person twice made mistakes on our order. Served Tuna Tartar when Beef was ordered....brought two glasses of wine when only one ordered.
Maitre d' was not very accommodating as to preferred tables. We certainly did not feel as respected patrons....
I have booked a table here three times, every time we arrive they make us “wait” “5 to 10 minutes” when it is really 20 - this last time when the host told us 5 to 10 - I walked across the street to Nello
Love that restaurant
Great to see LG back. High quality service and a much better improved menu exploring options outside of standard French bistro fare.
Excellent service, great food & drink….
Very enjoyable as usual. Excellent cocktail, wine and dinner with efficient and friendly service on a busy Saturday night. Good to see the restaurant coming back to life.
Thoroughly enjoyed our meal last night. Look forward to returning in the very near future.
Food and waiter service were excellent. But just after I paid the check, as we were getting ready to leave, the maitre d rushed us out, saying, “we need the table”. I had bought a $250 bottle of Champagne, and didn’t see anyone standing by, waiting for a table. It was an unpleasant end to what had been a lovely evening.
Whike the food is fairly decent and the music not terrible as it was some kind of acoustic guitar. We had some issues...the restaurant is really loud...people just running all over the place it’s a little unnerving. Also I ordered a soufflé and they told me they didn’t have any more and then the guy at the next table got one in five minutes when he ordered after me. . Left us with a bad taste in our mouths.
Buzzy and fun with good food and service
Fun atmosphere. Beautiful place. Service could be better. Attentive hosts.
My fav spot for lunch in NYC. Hopefully the Cheese Soufflé will return soon!!!
The service was painfully slow.
Still one of my favorite places in NYC. The back room feels very different with all the flowers gone...but I understand the reasons why. I will continue to visit and look for the return of the beautiful flowers within.
