La Gondola in Mansfield serves fresh pasta and other Italian favorites in a cozy, refined setting. Live piano nights treat guests to the sound of music while they sip on beverages selected from the expansive wine list. Low-lighting and sleek, modern decor gives La Gondola an intimate feel that sets the tone for a date night.
Aside from traditional pasta dishes like the linguini shrimp scampi, there are also plenty of veal, steak and chicken options like the Vitello parmigiana, steak or the pollo limone. La Gondola also offers appetizers, salads and soups. Be sure to ask your server about the available soup of the day and any daily or weekly special that might be available.
The food at La Gondola is always fantastic and the service always prompt. Because it is on the pricey side of average, my wife and I only visit maybe 3 times a year for special occasions, or like this trip, with friends. We have never been disappointed by anything we have ordered and once received a recommendation for their limoncello cake, and now it is a tradition when we go. If we ever have a complaint about the place it is that it is so popular, it is always packed and the noise level when combined with the live performer, can make it difficult to hold a conversation with our quieter speaking friends. It is still highly recommended, check it out.
Food was amazing! Service was great and we had a party of 12 ppl.
We just relocated to Mansfield in May and this was the first good meal we have had here. The service was excellent and the food was great.
Birthday. Fun but loud. Food prices don’t match quality. Great service, super generous server.
Always an exceptional time. Unfortunately, the ladies restroom was dirty.
La Gondola has consistently good food. We’ve been going to this restaurant since it was Italian Villa in south Arlington, so more than 20 years. The garlic bread is yummy and irresistible - no way you will be able to stop at one piece.
This is a really good restaurant. The food is wonderful and the service is excellent. Highly recommend La Gondola!
A group of 8 went there on a Saturday night to celebrate my 60th. The food was fabulous. Our waiter Mickey was great !! He suggested several appetizers that we loved!!
Amazing and authentic
Really great Mussels & Steak Diane was on point. Our waitress Alexandria/Alejandria(?) was lovely with attentive service and great suggestions when asked. We will be back. Wishing they had Coke products instead of RC & wishing thy had a better moscato than “Cupcake”. Overall great experience!
Good food, good service and enjoyable atmosphere for friendly conversation.
Definitely too loud for our business meeting. Waitress was trying to be sensitive to our conversation, but it left us feeling ignored. Food was pretty good.
Best Garlic bread ever eaten, loved the sausage wrapped with chicken. I’m a big guy and had to take a doggie bag. Wife loved her shrimp stuffed w! Crabmeat and pasta. Off the beaten path, but worth the drive.
Dined by myself while wife and daughter continued their post-graduation tour of the US ;)
Had linguini vongole (white clam sauce) which was the most attractive presentation of that dish I have ever had, and I've had it many times throughout the US. Clams in their shells ringed the pasta, which had ample minced clams and a very nice sauce. The restaurant was packed on a Friday night, and I enjoyed the live entertainment, even if it was a touch loud. Good service, good food...and a great first-time experience!
The food was remarkable and the service was delightful. Looking forward to going back.
Wonderful staff and great food. Been here multiple times and never disappointed!!
The food was excellent, as it always is. I could eat the Steak Diane everyday of the week. The waitstaff was stretched a little thin and service was slow this last visit. However, that won’t stop me from coming back.
Wonderful. They made my mom and sister their favorite dish which was off menu. As usual, everything was wonderful. It pays to know the staff and be a loyal long-time customer. We were there for Father’s Day and my husband’s birthday.
Wonderful dining experience for 6 of us. 2 of our party were from New York City, know their way around great food. They were not disappointed. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening. Our waiter was friendly and made some excellent recommendations for our out-of-town-guests.
I am very disappointed that they have a smoking area outside by the main entrance! Not a good first impression. Neither is the hostess standing and texting on her cell phone.
Also, disappointed in cold food. Salads and bread are fabulous!
The food never disappoints. We have gone a couple of times and every time the food has been excellent. The service is excellent Suzy and her sons are very attentive but not overbearing. My only complaint this time was the hostess who made us feel bad that we had my mother in a wheelchair. Sadly we were out for her birthday dinner. We made a reservation as well as I called to confirm. The hostess made us feel like we were inconveniencing are putting her out of the way because of having to accommodate the wheelchair. We have been there before and never have had an issue.
We live to eat here. The good is excellent, service is very good and pleasant. Always enjoy our time there.
So delicious and great wait staff! We have several favorites here!
The food was beyond amazing. The service was very good. Highly recommend!
Called before we made reservations and were told they had gluten free pasta and options. Got seated and found that they DO NOT accommodate gluten free at all. Messed up a mother's day meal for my wife who must have gluten free due to celiac disease. VERY disappointing.
Have been here several times and each time have been impressed. The food options are many and all dishes I have tried have been superb. Our last visit was with a group of seven all of whom were served something different from the menu and all praised their meals. Quantity and quality is just right. No room for dessert although I suspect that would also have been terrific!
Great food and service.
Fantastic, as always... service, quality of food (especially the fresh bread) and meal value!
The food was wonderful. The desert was divine. The service was very good.
Great food, good price. Noisy though. Music loud so everybody talks loud, hard to visit.
Great food, great service!
Sally Norton was our server and as always was exceptional!!!!!! Love the Pescatore and sea bass, salad and bread!
Live music was too loud!
Attentive staff, great food and drinks , friendly people.
Fabulous evening. I was concerned because it was a little late and It was a business dinner that did not need to be rushed. They catered to us with flawless
perfection! Plus, Wednesday is half price wine! The fresh house salad dressing was delicious and the Chilean Sea Bass was spectacular! I highly recommend La Gondola.
Our food was really good and we will be back again
Our reservations were for 9p.
There were 24+ people waiting when we arrived. The estimated wait time was 90 mins.
This is our absolute go-to restaurant for Italian cuisine. The chef is awesome and we love everything we have tried so far. I have expanded my selections from the standard pasta to the complete spectrum of the menu and never been disappointed. Have I mentioned the sauce? The best hands down to anywhere I've ever been before and that's just about everywhere.
Bartenders are friendly and service is the best. Make a reservation as the seats fill fast.
Absolutely awesome will recommend great food and service!
We chose to go to La Gondola from past experience with good food & service. The food has usually been very good. On this weekend night however the service was slower, and the noise level was beyond tolerable! We are over 50 and hearing each other talking can be a problem, but adding in the live music [ which would have been great in another setting] was too loud in a small space . As well as acoustically the restaurant is very modern; so there is no carpeting, no rugs, drapes or table cloths. Consequently all noise is heard by everyone. Guests had to speak very loudly just to be heard over the music. Soft background music would be better, too bad. The food is worth going, for but not sacrificing your hearing.
