Good food and well priced.
Very enjoyable. Very good food and service. Was Friday night and pretty jammed so make a reservation.
Not what we expected. Clearly the whole place was taxed by poor planning on a holiday that according to your site was fully booked and should have been accommodated. Meals were poorly structured and sauces were lacking.
Small and quaint with an amazing Italian food experience.
they squeezed 3 people onto a table for 2 with no room around it so the waiter had to keep sticking his butt on our table to serve the table next to us
Great service, food beautiful.
Wonderful experience! Will definitely go there again
We celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary there, as we have done every year! Never disappoints. We love going there.
Fantastic service, great food at good value... , however, it’s a tired place and one that could use a really good cleaning. The windows in the restaurant were ridiculously dirty, which we wouldn’t have notice accept we were seated right beside them.
Food was great and service was friendly, attentive and overall excellent. Prices were reasonable. Would definitely return.
Excellent service and food!
We have been here multiple times and never disappointed! Great food, service, and owner is very friendly!!
we enjoyed even though tgheresdtaurnrt was empty at 7:30 picked up a little after
We were in town for Yankees games and saw the reviews for La Forchetta and decided to try it.
We were a party of 4 and we all enjoyed our meals.
My husband and I had the special soup,Tomato and Red Pepper.Delicious.One friend had the Sicilian rolls, which looked like little egg rolls. He liked them.
For entrees 3 of us had the Rigatoni Bolognese.Very, very good.
I had the special fish, which was Cod with a Puttanesca like sauce, with green beans on the side.Terrific!
I had a warm chocolate cake with vanilla gelato on the side.Great.Everyone else had gelato.
The restaurant is small and cosy inside with some outside tables. The wait staff was very, very nice.We heartily recommend La Forchetta.
The risotto funghi was perfectly prepared. The grilled calamari with veggies was tasty and a delicious alternative to breaded.
The food was delicious as usual. The calamari which I order almost every time I've been here has gone down a bit since 8 years ago but still good overall. The duck breast risotto was amazing and so was the butternut squash pasta.
The food is not edible. I would expect an Italian restaurant in Little Italy to have authentic Italian cuisine but the food we received was nearly inedible.
The menus had a smell of a dirty rag because they're being cleaned with a damp dirty rag.
The mashed potato looked like it came out of a bucket.
The pork tenderloin was so incredibly overcooked it was hard to tell what kind of meat we were eating. When we said that it was overcooked, the server argued with us (and so did the manager) about how pork can be cooked. I didn't want to embarrass anyone at the restaurant by showing them Ontario food safety guidelines but quite frankly, they had NO idea what they were talking about. Pork can be served Medium and is safe to eat. Also, the customer is always right.
The scallops were "ok" but all the sides were inedible.
The gelato for dessert was actually ice cream
We had the pre-fixed menu great value very tasty food and decent prices on wines.
Very attentive service, excellent food and beverage choices, deliciously prepared.
Service was excellent but the food was haphazard. The pasta and risotto were both very salty and the lamb was added to the risotto cold. Our creme brûlée was runny.
The base of the food seemed to be good, maybe an off night for the chefs?
Great service, a little bit noisy with a lot of very loud talk all around. But the polenta was delicious, as was the Caesar salad and the veal ricotta. Arctic char was so so, mussels were great. So overall was a very nice experience
Always delicious! We love the crusty bread w rosemary/salt/olive oil. Unless you like mussels in tomato sauce, though, they were a little too tomato-ey and a bit to gritty for our liking.
The food was delicious. We also got dessert and a bottle of wine, both of which were also good. A hidden gem!
Good service. Home made pasta was some of the best I have had.
It was quite crowded and felt a bit like you were in the way just sitting at the table. The food was good but expensive. Just didn’t quite feel like it was worth the price
The food at La Forchetta was delicious - best, was the scallops and the calamari - so fresh.
The seafood linguine was outstanding. Rave reviews for the rigatoni Bolognese as well.
A definite place to enjoy a great Italian meal.
Simply the best Italian in Toronto.
An excellent, authentic Italian restaurant. Relaxed atmosphere. Outstanding service. Extensive wine menu. Delicious food with great recommendations from the staff. We will definitively be back!
As always, excellent meal and service.
The pasta and risotto were cooked to perfection. Our half-litre of wine was reasonably priced (as is the bottle), and the waiter was a true professional.
Toronto needs more of this.
La Forchetta has never let us down in the 15 years that we have been dining there. They have an excellent wine list, attentive staff and delicious cuisine. This is a gem of a restaurant!
Really tasty food and excellent service
Delightful and delicious meal in an intimate and welcoming setting.
There was an event winding down as we were coming in, and the service reflected it. Even though I booked the table in the app and specified it was our anniversary, there was no special table set for us, not was the anniversary acknowledged. In the other hand, the food was great.
First time at Forchetta - food was amazing, our waiter was great !
I've been here several times and always enjoy the creative cooking, service, nice size portions and the ultra-delicious complementary garlic rosemary toast.
Good value too
We rent here as it is close by our favourite Airbnb when we stay in Toronto and we didn't feel like driving again to another restaurant further out.
I was immediately put off when I was told on their prefix menu I can only have two courses because I booked on open table Weird?! I've never heard anything like that before. So people that didn't plan ahead that walked in off the street were able to enjoy the prefix with three courses .
There was a hair in my soup so I asked for them to put it into a new bowl. No mention of this and no compensation. I didn't make a big deal of it .
The food was fine for what it was. The Decour is a little bit dated . This isn't a trendy restaurant but more of an old-school Italian restaurant that may have had its heyday in the 80s. We had some trendier meals at Figo and Oretta for the same price. Dinner for four of us with a bottle of wine and desserts came to $400 . I would probably go back in a pinch but it's just not memorable. The food was good.
Appetizers are overpriced and not ideal for sharing.
Main courses and desserts were very good.
Waiter seemed overwhelmed our party of 9 and made the ordering experience slightly awkward.
Request for separate bills was not accommodated.
Good for couples, but not groups larger than 4.
It was our first time and we were not disappointed. Service, food, and atmosphere all met or exceeded our expectations. We look forward to dining again.
Salads were overdressed. So many fruit flies flying around the restaurant. One landed in my wine. Told the wait who just took my glass away and gave me a fresh glass. No replacement for the wine I couldn't drink. Seafood main course. The tiger shrimp were not tiger shrimp, the mussels were tiny, most of the dish was over cooked. We will not be returning!!
