Atmosphere was nice. Quiet. Reservation was ready so no waiting and the food was very good. We were at a convention across the street so it was nice to have a relaxing place to enjoy our dinner. I had eaten there before so knew it would be a good choice
We all had a cocktail and the mango salmon salad. We loved the cocktails and the salad was great.
The food is always very good and the noise level is nice!
Food was ok. I tight the piccata was greasy there was a huge party that came in with at least 7 young children that were so loud and misbehaved. The parents were enjoying the adult company side of the table and could have cared less (hate that) ruined my business meal with my colleagues. Very average Italian food and yes, I'm Italian. Probably would not return.
It was very crowded therefore too loud at first. We had a sensitive conversation with people we just met so that was annoying but it got quieter. We stayed 3 hours.
My lunch meal presentation was pleasingly artistic and it was delicious. La Fontana had a good selection of dishes for lunch, such that choosing was challenge. Our server was great -- she had lots of patience and was friendly and polite. I'd definitely eat here again, even though the dishes seemed a bit pricey.
They have great tasting food which are also very healthy. The servers are very friendly and the atmosphere is also great for groups small or larger. Their chicken with quona, Chilean sea bass, salmon, and bread with olive spread are excellent choices. I love to go there whenever I can.
Not much selection and very noisy with service carts going back to kitchen.
Come hungry....the fish and chips plate was huge...nice spot to meet clients for lunch in the Levi Stadium/Santa Clara Convention area.
Good lunch meeting venue, even had some lighter options which was nice.
We didn't know where to go for lunch in Santa Clara so I consulted Open Table and we found Fontana. The restaurant us located in The Hilton Hotel so parking was not a problem. Our surprise was that the food was delicious and we were happy with our choices.
Very good service, we would go again. The salmon was perfectly cooked and the atmosphere was perfect for our lunch meeting.
I have eaten here before and always had a pleasant experience. The service is excellent and the food has always been fresh and tasty. When in the area, I will always book here.
This was a restaurant I was able to book less than a week before Christmas. I knew nothing about it, but it was in a Hilton that I knew of, so thought it would probably be fine. It was fine.
The thing about this restaurant is it is designed and probably only caters to its hotel guests. It is small and on the casual side. The food was very good and generous. The service was good. But it was not crowded. The people that were there dining, I am pretty sure, were all hotel guests. This is the way it seemed. So it is not a spot that locals have "found a gem" and go there for special occasions.
We were fine with our experience . It was an unknown -- took a chance and it was fine. I was not so thrilled that I would ever go back as a local diner.
Nice white tablecloth restaurant in an a part of Sunnyvale/Santa Clara that doesn't have many. The french fries were really yummy.
Good food, but a bit pricey. $50 for a salad and lunch pasta dish + side salad. The servings are big. The side salad was charged at the regular price because they don't do "side salads" which if they were into customer service they would have adjusted the price. Bread was tasty.
Delicious food! Fantastic service. No rush. We chose this restaurant because we were staying at the Hilton, where it is located, and we were all too tired to drive. The menu is varied, but not too extensive so it is easier to choose. I dined ther two nights and had a fabulous meal both nights. We had a wonderful table and superb service. My friends had breakfast each morning of the convention and the food was great and the servers remembers their names and what they preferred to eat. Now that is service!
Paul, our server was great. Was surprised to find this gem in a hotel, but I'd highly recommend it for any night out.
Very good service and very nice staff
We were promptly seated, wait staff was attentive, good food. Overall was a nice experience.
Check in on Yelp to get a free calamari appetizer!
Their food is generally quite good. The pasta I had this time was kind of on the heavy side.
Absolutely delicious food from start to finish! Service was excellent, wine was wonderful. This was our first visit to the restaurant and would definitely return again.
Great for a quiet business meeting. Easy access and plenty of parking. Portions were large. Servers were attentive, albeit, a bit novice.
Easy to book reservation. Quiet atmosphere so conversation is easy to hold. Menu has variety and items are interesting. Ordered cobb salad that came in very large portion. Fresh. Good friendly service. I would recommend to anyone seeking to have a business lunch.
La Fontana's food is constantly good and service is great. Great place to go for a business lunch because the restaurant is pertty quiet so you can conduct business easily and not have to talk at volume 10.
Our server Paul was exceptional and professional in serving and assuring our needs are met. He was very friendly and knowledgeable.
Had the roasted salmon which was best I have ever had, large fillet too. Service was prompt and courteous.
Brunch was more than expected for the price. Good food, service and all family members were happy!!! That is a plus...especially with our picky family!!!
I took my wife and mother here for the recent Mother's Day Brunch event. We were seated quickly and were served Orange Juice immediately. The omelette bar was awesome. The choice of food was really good. The staff were pleasant, despite the fact that I know they were very busy. My kids loved the balloons, face paint, and picture station. Overall, a very good experience!
Solid decor and service.
Always able to get a table.
Good for quiet business lunches.
soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo gooo. I like this place.
No problem with the meal would have preferred the dining area. Especially when you made a reservation for it and paid for a $$ the meal. When you close the dining area make sure your hostesses ask your customers if they had a reservation before, telling them that the bar is open for dining.
Because your customers don't know that you still will honor their reservation. They don't know this and are surprised to see a closed dining room when a reservation is made. And fire your waitress Olga for telling your customer they are wrong that they should know this and when ask for a manager to tell us that they are busy. That means that she didn't want the manager to know she has an issue with her customers.
Complementing a meal never makes up for rude services! And the was not our first time here we have been here several times.
The service was exceptional! Paul and Carmen made my guests feel comfortable and they both were very attentive to all of my groups needs. All of our dishes were fabulous! I will be back again!
The food was very nice as usual. I had a coworker come in fro Malaysia, and she enjoyed the ahi appetizer. The ahi meal was not as good as the appetizer, though, but good.
Service was pleasant as always. The serving staff seem to enjoy their customers.
The risotto tasted a bit too salty for my taste, both the apple/mushroom and the parmesan spinach. My hubby loved his lamb. My salmon tasted almost frozen though, very funky flavor.
Great waitress, flexible and creative bartender and an awesome view of Levis stadium!
Our waiter was not very attentive: forgot a drink, forgot to bring desert, forgot who ordered what (only group of 4), ......
Food was very good; ambience was great for business lunch.
Great location in Santa Clara. Good food, easy parking. Very convenient.
We hadn't been to this restaurant in awhile and we thought lets try it again. My entree was good but my boyfriends noodles were overcooked and the sauce was off, not tasty, just seemed "aged/old". The dessert was runny, we ordered the ice cream with espresso poured over it and there was barely any ice cream. Our waiter was really nice and he did comp our dinner which was greatly appreciated. As much as the interior is nice, the staff is great but the food needs to improve before we head back again.
