La Fondue in Saratoga has a lovely, verdant and pampering location that makes it ideal to stop in at for many people.
You can get plenty of different types of fondue from cheese to beef to chocolate at La Fondue. Choose a complete meal or order à la carte. Selections include chicken, vegetables, as well as more exotic meats like the wild thing, which includes alligator, antelope, buffalo, kangaroo, wild boar and venison. There are also surf and turf options. There is an array of different salads, as well. For dessert at La Fondue, many chocolate versions are served with fudge, amaretto, Frangelico and different liqueurs.
My family enjoyed it!! The food & service were very good. Once the waiter came to know that we were there for a b'day celebration, we were offered complimentary champagne!!
We are always big fans of La Fondue. It is wonderful for a special couple's evening or for a group to get together and enjoy and nice long evening of fun (cooking) and conversation. The food is always wonderful and the experience enjoyable.
Great food but not worth the price at all!
I’d only go for special occasions.
We had multiple people come and change the heat on our table and it was either too low to cook or it burned our food. They didnt give us oil for our food until we were almost done cooking and they also didn't leave us any info about what meats were what even though every table around us was given a "cheat sheet" that explained everything. We went for a birthday and left in utter dismay that we were treated so poorly. Both people that attended are currently or have been in the food industry and the service was so appauling that my girl started crying on the way home on her F*cking birthday. I do not suggest this restaurant to anyone. I paid almost $300 including tip for 2 people expecting an amazing experience to end an incredible day and looking back, we should have just gone to Taco bell.
Great place to go for a special occasion! Ambiance is awesome, service is outstanding...a bit expensive, but it's worth it.
All time favorite for last 25 years, can never go wrong for a romantic occasion or family celebration.
The food was fantastic as was the service and atmosphere. A great choice for a special occasion such as an anniversary, birthday, etc. Using a Groupon for the Le Freak package allowed me and my wife to sample some entree items we probably wouldn't have otherwise been brave enough to try.
This was our second time dining here. We were a party of four, and the tables only have one burner so you all have to agree at the table on a cooking method. For the Cheese and chocolate fondue they allow two ports at the table for two different fkavors, however they can only prepare one at the table because it needs to be full on the burner. That is understandable, the disappointment ting part is that the server both times said the other fondue was that the server said the other fondue was being prepared in the back “and will be right out” and it took more than 20 minutes for the second cheese fondue to come, and likewise for the chocolate. The server seemed to be too busy with many tables or was gone for longer times , and our salads got dropped at the table before we even had our beverage. Several fondue sticks we were given were dirty, and so were the glasses. The manager was apologetic, but looked inexperienced and didn’t solve any of the service issues/delays. For a $600 bill we paid, they didn’t even show much concern or give us any considerations at the table or on the check. Not going back.
We came to La Fondue for my daughter's 16th birthday at her request. We did have plans later that night, so we let our server know who did his best to move things along quickly. Plan on spending a minimum of an hour and 45 minutes if you do all 4 courses. 4 courses include salad, cheese fondue, meat fondue or grill cooking and chocolate fondue for dessert. I'll start with the salad. We always order a salad and then regret it. It is too much salad for a four course meal. 75% of the portion served was left over and it is just plain wasteful. The salads are mediocre, and would be best rethought. Cheese fondue was excellent and our server was deftly skilled in making and the accompanying dippers, fruit, veggies and bread are fresh and great. Things that I wouldn't even think of, like pickled onions make this a treat. The grilling meat was next, we chose several items from seafood to steak and although the presentation could be a bit better, the meat and veggies were fresh and the girls had a great time. Chocolate fondue was next and never disappoints. We had a fun and great meal. Wish they would rethink their salads, minimize the menu and be quicker about moving guests through. Other than those minor tweaks, this is a great place!
food was good but the attention bad. the waiter took very long to serve, ask what we want, etc. We waited too long between courses and nobody stopped by and take more drink order, not to mention the check.
Bday dinner for my son, kids love it
Fondue is a fun, long meal, which is great to share with friends. La Fondue is more expensive than Melting Pot. Service is at best mediocre, and the wait staff expects 18 - 22% on a very high bill. In Europe, where service is included for the most part, fondue is a more pedestrian meal, which is moderately priced. Using a groupon for four, buying an $80 bottle of white wine (one in our party could not drink the included sparkling white), some up charges, and a $70 tip, we were $444 for 4. At this price point, it is a special occasion meal to share with friends whom you want to spend a few hours catching up.
I will spend $111/person again.
Great food and amazing surroundings. That nice service was a little slow even though they were not busy. But nonetheless it is always amazing!
We had a great night with great food and great service... definitely a 5 star experience :)
The cheese and chocolate we got were great. Service seemed a little scattered but overall it was great.
Great ambience, amazing food and exceptional service. Definitely going there again.
Ok so yes they have shrunk the portions and yes the bill has not shrunk. That being said the quality of the food is amazing and the atmosphere is just cool. I love this place and it is still my go to for a special night out. I just don’t feel like I’m going to die after I finish the chocolate fondue anymore.
My wife and I where celebrating our 10 year anniversary. I can tell you that she was very pleased that I took her to La Fondue and we had a great time.
Meal was great. Service was great. Noise level was alittle loud
Beautiful setting with a variety of rooms with different themes. Food was good with unusual meat options. Service was very friendly and accommodating. A fun way to share a meal.
There was a glut of people overwhelming the staff present during our final chocolate course that made it hard to get service, for the other courses the service was stellar, so it's unfortunate they couldn't stay the course for the end of the meal.
LaFondue is one of our favorite spots! We dined there on Friday for my wife’s birthday. Brandon and Eric were our servers and were friendly, courteous and overall awesome! When you dine there, ask to be seated at one of their tables. The manager was also very helpful and friendly. Food was very good as well!
Catching up with friends.
La Fondue is always a good place to catch up with friends. The experience is unique, the food is pretty good, and it’s always un-rushed. However, this time I was a bit disappointed. The boar was very tough, we only ate one piece each. The corkage fee is too steep. I understand they are in the business of making money off of their wine list; but charging $30 corkage fee is more than most hi-end restaurants. They also do not have a full bar anymore and cannot put creme de minthe in my chocolate fondue. 😩 The rest of the meal and service were as expected with good food & good staff. Will I go back? Of course, but I’ll either check to see if they have a corkage free night or plan to buy theirs.
Took a really long time to be seated (almost 25 mins? on a weeknight), despite arriving a few minutes before our reservation time and the waiting area being empty. I think they actually forgot about us, and only seated us when we were approached with another guests name, we corrected them, and then he checked something on the computer and we were seated. After that, everything was perfect. Wish they had a full bar like they used to...
This place is so yummy! Every time I come we try something different, and the service is always incredible! My server, Eric was very attentive and personable. I love when they take time to talk to you instead of just going through the motions! Makes the experience that much better. His recommendations were to die for! Especially the milk chocolate with irish cream for dessert! Can't wait to go back here again!
I have always wanted to go to la Fondue, so my boyfriend got me a groupon deal for a Christmas present. The groupon deal was great, to pay full price for what they offer would not be worth it. I was expecting more fondue types of dishes, not a plate of meat (we cook ourselves) and dip into a bbq sauce???? The salad was delicious. The fondu was good, even though it was not the one we ordered. The dessert was very good! Our tables location was terrible! I sat on a hill at an angle in a plastic chair...very uncomfortable for the price of the menu. We had to use our light on our cell phone just to see how the meat was looking while it was cooking....again, not worth it. Our servers were wonderful and very informative so that was a huge plus. However, at the end of our meal we get a hand written suggested tiping amount? I do not need to be told what you think the tipping amount should be when we are the ones being served. For that alone we chose to leave a smaller tip. I can now say I have been to La Fondue, and won’t be back.
We make it a yearly tradition to bring our kids here to celebrate Valentine’s Day “fancy” dinner. We all love it!
I honestly was disappointed with the serving of the sampler meat. I noticed that they reduced the serving size for each sample of meat they had since the last time I was there. Cheese and chocolate was good, but it was still a smaller portion. There is NOTHING special about the meat they serve. Anyone can cook better meat than what they cook. The only thing that was worth it was the cheese and chocolate fondue. And the sceneries.
Our servers were both very nice and attentive. The food was really good. However, I find the restaurant to be a little dark and loud.
Had a great meal with my family thanks to Eva, Larry. The food was fun and yummy as always. Thank you.
Amazing- my girlfriend was very happy! Appreciate the staff accommodated my special requests to make the evening even more special.
Came for my birthday and was not dissapointed, can’t stop thinking about the bacon cheese fondue! It’s a must for anyone in the area, make reservations of course! Mine was for 9:15 and they let me in at 8:30, super flexible and kind.
Slow service. Hair in food
The person that was at the entrance was disorganized and not welcoming. The waiter was good and the food was very good.
My daughter and I had such an amazing dinner. We have been to LaFondue a few times and have never been disappointed. The food is absolutely amazing and the wait staff are incredible people and very knowledgeable. I highly recommend this restaurant to anybody.
Celebrating a birthday.
What a phenomenal experience! The wild mushroom fondue was deliciously rich and flavored, and the dark chocolate fondue with cayenne pepper with cinnamon was the perfect finish to a truly lovely meal. Thank you!
