Excellent overall experience. Our servers were very pleasant and attentive, food was wonderful.
Came here after 10 years and the service has drastically declined mainly because of a bad waiter Justin. Not to be picky, but how can he poured a very expensive Pinot and failed to pour in one of the glasses? On our second bottle, i told him please just leave me the bottle and i will do the serving. He was slow and unattentive. So, needless to say, one bad/mediocre waiter means we are not coming back O
Have gone there several times service has always been good staff all seem to like there jobs. If you want a quite dinner go early it does get louder as the e ending progress
Good place but used to be more intimate, private and cozy, or at least that is how I remembered from the last time we went there a few years ago. The new ambience is nice but not as appealing for the price of the food. You are eating on top of other people, as I mentioned no privacy way too open concept and uncomfortable furniture and setting. Service is good, they treated us really well.
One of my favorite places for special occasions, and business dinner. Great way to taste different foods and you get to cook your own food so can't complain if not cooked right.
We always try different methods and meats.
We much enjoy going to La Fondue. The food quality is great, and so is the service. Our only complaint is the lighting. The place is dark and the lights are too low making it difficult to cook.
Great food as always. Servings are rich. Definitely come with a good appetites
We wanted something different for a 19th birthday! La Fondue was perfect, engaging menu and wonderful food. Thanks for the experience!
Very nice restaurant. Make sure you have plenty of time to enjoy the whole experience.
Went for my fiancé’s birthday. It was both of our firsttime there and we loved it! Great service! We did the 4 course Le Freak option with a groupon offer. We will definitely be back some day!
Our waiter was amazing so friendly and helpful. When I asked for a lot of something he brought me a big serving of what I asked for and waiters don't always do that. Only thing that could've been better is if they would have put us at a better table. Thought a table of 4 was going to sit next to us later, but about an hour after we got there they sat a couple there. I was upset about that because I wanted to sit next to my husband and not across from him.
We always love going to la fondue, however this time, the table we sat at took forever for the burner to get hot, it took a long time to be able to cook our food plus as we cooked, due to the food being cold to start it cooled off quickly then took a while to get back to temp. When we mentioned it to our waitress she stated that the table was notorious for taking a long time to heat up. This to me shows they aren't doing the necessary up keep which is disappointing. We will go back, but request to not have that table.
Table and seats are not proportional so you sit too low and can't see the pot or grill properly. Cheese selection was good but grill was way better than pot. Deserts were really good.
Everything was great, our servers were amazing. They truly made my wife’s birthday even more special. From start to finish everything was impeccable!!
Great as always
Great place to stop before a concert at Mountain Winery!! If getting a full dinner allow for sometime about 1.5 hours bc you cook your food and don’t rush this experience can it is a LOT of food so give yourself time to enjoy it!! Nice decor and staff is friendly.
Valet was no where to be found and the parking down there is really bad. Food is always great but service tonight was subpar- we asked for additional toppings to dip and by the time they brought them our fondue was gone. They also forgot to turn on our burner - if we didn’t figure it out ourselves we would have sat there for 10 mins waiting for a grill to get hot that would have never gotten hot. The place is always super dark so bring your iPhone to read the menu. And lastly leave little kids at home- when a meal is $300+ I’d prefer to eat it without your kids jumping on the bench seats or screaming when they get bored. Trust me- I have kids and I waited till they were old enough to behave themselves to come here.
The place is great!! Its a fun place to go to for an anniversary, Birthday or a First Date. The opportunity to have great conversation while you are cooking your own food--its just a ton of fun!!
I used to LOVE this restaurant but sadly, it has gone downhill. I attribute this to poor management. Our seafood entree was fishy. When we told the waiter, he did not seem to care - nor did the manager (Samantha Simons) who told us "maybe we'll see you again, maybe we won't!" Our meal was $160 for two. Not including the wine. When I used the bathroom, it was a mess.
This is an upscale fine dining restaurant that used to be one of the best in the Bay Area. There is no excuse for bad management who are rude to patrons.
I've been coming here for over 15 years, and each time I'm left almost more satisfied than the previous. It's one of my favorite restaurants I've ever been to and my favorite fondue place by far (this from a person who has lived Spain and had great food all over Europe and Asia). I would highly recommend this place to foodies especially and for special occasions.
Great as always. I can’t wait to go back.
Love you folks. We are there for most of our family birthdays and always receive the best treatment.
Not sure why a high end restaurant would offer PBR on draft...there are plenty of reputable light beers that won't cheapen the beer menu. Budweiser, Bud light, michelob ultra, Stella.
It always delivers
Fun. I used a Groupon and got the Le Freak. SO much food. Tasty, and fun to do. Not sure if I would go back...but it was totally worth going and checking it out.
Our servers Chloe & Julie were exceptional. Chloe explained the process of the cheese cooking like no other server has on previous visits and Julie also explained details of items as well.
Keep up the great work, it was a pleasure dining at La Fondue as always.
Service was very slow but super friendly. Unique concept. Good for groups.
This has been one of my favorite restaurants for over 20 years. Unfortunately this time my experience was not good. There were three tables that had many young children dining. It was incredibly noisy, so much so that my friend and I could not communicate with each other well. One table had 5 kids. The children were loud, standing on the seats, standing outside the seats to cook. This is an expensive restaurant where I come for special occasions and expect to have a pleasant atmosphere. If this is a place where people now select to bring their children for a fun outing, I suggest the restaurant place them in an area together (there are several rooms) where they can be loud and stand on the seats and outside their tables in order for them to be able to cook their food.
Really a unique experience! Recommend the Groupon deal for the "Le Freak" meal - wild, exotic meats and seafoods ($155 for two people, includes a bottle of champagne) - the menu price is $325 and you are expected to tip based on the menu price... the service is good, good parking, nice place. Expect to spend at least $100 per person.... you won't leave hungry!
Exotic and a special atmosphere. This is a fun place for friends to enjoy something fun and intimate.
Our family enjoys coming to La Fondue for special occasions yes. We took our out-of-town friends here on Monday night for their 25th wedding anniversary. It had been a good year since we've been there and it seems as though there has been a change. The chef salad was much smaller than I remember and it seems the dipping items were much less as well. The chocolate made up for it though. At this price point I may fine a new go to place.
Marvelous from start to finish.
The cheese, the salads, the Entreè, the chocolate, And the service Fenomenal.
Service started off really Great, then after we got our food the service wasn’t service at all. We didn’t see our server till bill time.
Food was okay but service horrific. Had to wait an hour for our reserved table then didn’t get served for another 30 minutes, rarely saw a waiter for the rest of the night. This service level is unacceptable for the prices they are charging. Will not be returning and recommend you go somewhere else.
We had a nice quite room. Some of the rooms can be very loud and not private for that "special occasion"
smoky and insufficient ventilation!
Although the service was excellent and the ambiance was great, we came here to eat and the food was fair. I can’t recommend coming back for the price and quality of the food. I hate to write a review like this but it’s the truth. None of the meats were seasoned, the salad was just Ok and even the cheese was average. I will give high marks to the dessert!
Food was delicious, service was outstanding! Next time we will come for just the cheese and chocolate fondue. We were both so stuffed by the end of the meal we practically needed to be rolled out of the restaurant.
Our server was Adam and michelle. Had a great experience!
