I was under impressed. There are no organic options at all. The best course was the meat course. The service was ok. We had a waiter in training who did not heat up our fondue properly. When we asked if the fondue was ready, the experienced waitress said yes. However it was still cold. We had to wait a while and it turned out the grill wasn't up high enough. Also our waitress talked so fast I guess she was in a hurry.
The bread for the fondue was really average. No special types of bread.
I would really like to see higher quality salad - organic options for meat and produce. The chocolate fondue had snickers to dip. I don't want any crappy candy, use organic chocolate please! I would not go here again. Nor would I recommend it to anyone.
Love the many choices available in all the fondue categories. Appreciate the consistency in food quality and service. Always leave full and highly satisfied. Great for any special occasion.
Every person that was a part of serving us did a great job, no complaints there. There was a variety of options for food, but other than how fun fondue is nothing we ate was that impressive. The ambiance is interesting in that different areas of the restaraunt have different themes, my guess for ours would be “sexy catholic torture chamber in Morocco”. It was all very fun... except maybe they could change the music. The playlist bounced around between random genres and had bizarre selections that we laughed at many times throughout the meal. Still will go back though, it’s a fun experience to celebrate something!
Amazing place for amazing food! It’s a wonderful time and I love this place!
Always good. I always sit in a dark area, so I'll have to request an area with better light. Staff was great, helpful and attentive.
This was the most fun we've had on a date in a long time! Already trying to think of our next special occasion to come back for. The room was funky and fun, the dinner was interactive and delicious, the fondue was unique and decadent. LOVED it.
Everything was great but the service wasn’t as good as it has been before ! We have gone many times before and had only 1 other issue but now it’s 2 ! Hope they change the issues with the servers , they didn’t come by as much as needed we had to ask for stuff multiple times ,
Our server was amazing!
Had to wait 20 minutes for another round of cocktails. Our waitress, Julie must have been a theater major because she spoke to our table like she was on stage, loud and annoying. Fun experience, but would never do it again. For that kind of money, $434 for 3 adults and 1 child, I expect better service.
Music was played so loud you could not easily converse at a table for four. When asking waiter about options he told us what he liked but had no suggestions if we declined that idea. Have loved this place for forever. Hadn’t been in a while so was excited to return. Very disappointed
I took my son to fondue for the first time and we had a difficult time. The first waiter we have (unfortunately I don’t remember his name) was having difficulty explaining the menu options to us. When we finally got our salads, he mixed up the 2 salads and never delivered the 2 he said he would pack for us. When we got to our cheese course, we had been pawned off on a waiter in training. We had 2 cheese fondues to split amongst the 4 of us. The cheddar was fine, but not great. The Garlic fondue was runny and tasted more like wine than cheese and barely had any garlic flavor to it ( this had been prepared away from our table, so we were never asked how much garlic). Half way through the meal a bright overhead light came on glaring into the eyes of one person in our party. We were told it was on an automatic timer and it couldn’t be turned off. It was made worse because the light illuminated the multiple cobwebs hanging on it. Next, our waiter came out with the grill, because he had never gotten our broth order. This of course slowed down our meal because we had to wait for the broth to heat up. During the meat course we were given 20 meat skewers - even though ten was too many for the one pot we had. We felt as though we were being rushed out at this point. As we were getting ready for dessert the ladies at the table next to us were finishing up. Our original waiter brought them complementary champagne and when they asked why he said “because you were such a pleasure to serve - and trust me, not all my tables are a pleasure to serve. “ I would expect more professionalism at this restaurant. When we finally got our chocolate, it was so thick that we could barely dip the items in it. When we asked about the consistency, the 2nd waiter asked us what we thought they should do to fix it. Hmm, we thought that was their job. On top of all of this, the men’s bathroom was flooded the entire night. Not the fine dining experience I had hoped for.
great service, food and ambiance as usual. Our favorite special occasion restaurant.
Service wasn’t great, it was a busy Friday with not enough servers. Overall the experience this time was less than average.
We were there for a birthday dinner, the people next to us were super loud and foul mouthed, the waiter couldn’t be bothered with us. We did have another waitress that was super, and we left her the tip.
Need better ventilation. Too smokey with all the grills. Need better lighting too. Can't even see my food. Service can be improved. Does not feel welcomed.
Had an excellent time here celebrating new year! Staff was very friendly and very quick. Topped off our drinks anytime someone walked by which was very nice . Loved it
The food and service were very good. The salad was much too large but we took it home and had it the next night. Cooking the food, the meat especially, left a significant camp fire smell to our clothing which did dissipate over several days. I was glad I brought a low powered flashlight other wise the menu and the cooking food would have been impossible to see.
I was disappointed that I was not told prior to inputting my payment that this was a Prix fix meal and nowhere on line could I find a New Years Eve menu.
La Fondue is great for special occasions! It was my friend’s birthday, so we splurged! The food is always delicious and you get plenty of it! The service is spectacular and they are always attentive. Pricey, but worth it for special occasions.
We had reservations and still had to wait 30 minutes to be seated. we got the Lefreak for $355, with a bottle of wine and it was Le small! It was just one plate of food for the 2 of us to grill. The cheese fondue had a small amount of food to dip. The flaming turtle chocolate fondue has fun and the only saving grace.
Christmas “experience “ gift:)
We have come every year for our anniversary and this year we went for our engagement after I popped the question. Absolutely disgusted with how we were treated. We were seated late and our server could care less about such a big day for us. I didn’t even finish my coffee with our chocolate fondue and the hostess came from up front and said they needed the table so we had to leave. We hadn’t even been there for an hour and we were already being asked to leave. The entire room had been there before us too and no one else was asked to leave. I understand you need to run a business but the disrespect was unbelievable. 10+ years of continued visits and they let me down on the one occasion that mattered the most.
Even with a reservation, we had to wait 25+ minutes, which eventually made us miss our plans afterward. After we were sat down, our waiter told us he’d be with us in a “few minutes”. This resulted in another 10-15 minute wait before he came to explain to us the menu.
After we placed our order, food came out decently quick. Salad, cheese fondue, and MOST of the meat were good; however, when we got to our lobster, which was an additional item ($25) to our Fondue Feast, the meat was so mushy it fell apart. Out of the 6 pieces of lobster we got, 1 was chewy. Dessert was good and the waiter brought us free champagne for a birthday. Overall, wasn’t the best experience, especially causing us to miss our plans after.
I got there 35 minutes before my reservation and checked in. They checked me in an hour after I checked in. They also sat 2 other 7:45 reservations before they sat us.
This was our 4th visit. The food & service was good but the wait to get the table was a bit too long although we had reservations.
Great experience and service. Just wish there was a little more food for the amount of money spent.
2nd annual Christmas Eve dinner with my kids. We had a great time!
Our hair and clothing smelled like fried butter ... Not well aerated for this time of cooking
Great for family and friends gathering. Excellent cheese
I called two days before and asked no be sited outside . They ignored my request and I was sited outside by the entrance. It was cold and unpleasant. Above all the acoustic is bad and a very noisy group was by us. I had very disappointed expiriance.
La Fondue was fantastic! We love going here the food is always great and the service is always on point. We were celebrating a birthday this time and can’t wait to return.
Great service and delicious food!
La Fondue is such a fun experience! Absolutely recommend for a special night out. Come very hungry and order ala carte. The full menu of salad, cheese, meats/fish and chocolate is even too much for the heartiest eater. Next time we will skip the meat and enjoy the special treats of cheese and chocolate!!
Ambience - it was a little too dark so grilling the meat to perfection was a challenge.
As always, the food, service and ambience was top-notch. We really enjoy dining here. The food selection is unique and the atmosphere conducive to either a romantic date or a fun get together with friends. There is enough variety in the selection of food that just about anyone will enjoy it here. And, the chocolate!!! What’s not to love?
I had a reservation at 8 pm but we were seated around 8:50 pm (due to weekend prior to Christmas). The front desk lady didn't mention us upfront that they were running behind the schedule and it would take this long. During the reservation, I had mentioned in the comments that I would like to get a good table which is located inside but the restaurant didn't take this into consideration and we were given a table which was located beside the exit door. After we requesting them if there was any possibility to give us an inside table (as it was little chilly for my mother at our table), they refused to do so.
I expected for a little better service than this.
It’s our go to special occasion place! We have been coming here for 8 years.
Service was great, Food was mediocre and the meats were tough. One of the burners wasn’t working. It’s a fun experience but the quality isn’t what it used to be here.
Excellent service that allowed our group to have an amazing experience.
So, we have always loved La Fondue. It’s a great place to dine if you have a special occasion. The food is great and the service is wonderful. That being said, I have noticed that the last few times we have dined there, the smell of the grilled meat is extremely cloying and just hangs in the air. You leave the restaurant reeking of grease and oily meat. I’m not sure if the ventilation is just not working well or if it’s just not very good. In any case, the smell is really, really heavy and overwhelming....almost to the point of being nauseating. It will definitely make me think twice about dining there any time in the near future.
Enjoyable fondue experience with the kids.
My daughter 21 birthday which was to celebrate it at La Fondue . The staff was really amazing and attentive. We had a wonderful time
