Tuna tacos & peppers were outstanding. Great service even though quite busy. Everything was as advertised.

We did the Special Tasting menu offered by Gilt. It was truly an amazing experience. I tried food I would NEVER eat, and it was all spectacular!

Wide spacing of the tables, great service and wonderful food make this a great spot for a date or a business lunch or dinner.

Since it is in the neighborhood where my office is located, I tend to entertain my clients at the restaurant. The last time, however, i was sitting with my clients for 20 minutes without anyone coming over and asking us if we wanted drinks or were ready to order. i had to go to the manager to request that someone attend to us. The dining room was half filled.

This was a fairly wretched experience. The decor is faithful to the 60's, but there is a reason that that style of decor has never come back. Our waiter was great when he appeared, but that was not terribly frequently. We were offered one round of tapas and then shown a dessert menu without even being asked if we wanted anything else -- as one of our party exclaimed, "wow, I guess no more food for us!" And yes, we understand tapas dining (one of us had even lived in Spain). The food wasn't bad, but in the end, I feel like I never even really went to this restaurant. The hostess was really nice -- everything kind of went downhill from there.

One of my favorite places in midtown. Sleek, modern enivornment and plenty of space between diners for NYC. Always a good experience.

We had a business lunch at La Fonda and it was perfect for our purposes. Perhaps it was partly because our reservation was for 12:00 noon, by the time the place filled up, we had gotten our discussions out of the way. The noise level was very moderate and the tables are not placed close to each other that you can talk about business without having to wonder if people in the next table are hearing your conversation.
The staff were attentive and the food was very beautifully presented.

The food is exceptional; I've tried almost all of the tapas and they are uniformly delicious (especially the figs and ham).

Nothing to write home about. Beef empanadas on the tapas menu tasted like they were from a box. Paella for two at a whopping $36 per person had a small lobster, shrimp, scallops and fish. Fish, while cooked properly was overwhelmed by chorizo that tasted like a cheap peperoni stick. Overall the flavor wasn't there for an authentic paella taste.

Note to Bartender: When asking for a vodka straight up with lime, we don't want lime juice in the drink, we want a wedge of lime. Took us two drinks each to make this happen.

A very classy establishment with excellent service. The Spanish cuisine is as authentic as you'll find in NYC (on a relative scale). Their wine list is spectacular -- if you love Tempranillo wines, they have many hard-to-find Riojas.

Terrific meal, great service, wine list was great. The paella is their specialty, and it shows. We created our own tasting menu with the staf's help, and were thrilled with the result. Hands down a great evening.

We had several small plates and shared. The octopus was delicious, the cevice was not as interesting as it seemed in the description. The tuna salad was also very special--3-4 pieces of tuna and mixed salad with avacado. Overall a great experience.

The food is very good with a terrific variety of options to select from in either the tapas or main dinner menu. The dining room is suitable for a romantic dinner since it is more quiet than the front room. The only complaint is: they have nice comfy booths in the front room, unfortunately, the restaurant needs to do a better job of keeping the bar patrons from practically sitting on top of you if you elect to be seated in these booths. It would be nice if they could put up a divider -- it is rude and intrusive of the bar patrons to group together and actually even place their belongings in the booth. Otherwise, a great place.

The room, service and presentation of the crisp table with very attractive place settings played second fiddle to food that was done to perfection.

From the rich potted pork and duck to the soft as Church music veal cheeks, my meal was spectacular.

Good to remember for a quick meet-for-a-drink near GCT after work, and quite a nice place for a business luncheon or group meeting. The food is always flavorful, and the drinks are not expensive for Manhattan. Thoroughly enjoyable.

Chef Josh is gastronomic artist! We celebrated our anniversary last night and had an incredible evening with amazing food delights. The meal was superb as was the service.  In particular the fennel sorbet in tomato gazpacho was delightful and the fluke was to die for.  The lamb was amazing and full of wonderful flavor as was the cochino ( suckling pig) with figs - My wife was really in love with the manchego croquettes with membrillo sauce. You will not be dissapointed!

High quality food in a rlaxing atmosphere where it is easy to have a pleasant conversation over the meal (at least in the dining room portion of the restaurant). The bar scene looks a bit too hectic for me but the "upstairs room" is always quiet and welcoming. Seafood is especially good, the Eden trout which I had superb.

Overall the food was excellent especially the Seafood Paella. I would've given a five star overall rating but was disappointed by the scallops starters....they were tiny and merely 5-6 pieces. If it were not for the server who tried to respectfully dissuade us from ordering it I would've given a lower overall rating.

Check it out. We sat in the quite upstairs dining room next to the glass wall that overlooks the bar. It was quiet enough to talk but you still could feel the vibes from the bar. If you do not see the bar from your table it's just a quiet restaurant feel. The food was yummy. I recommend the tuna tacos(I could have eaten 10 of them!), empanadas and the trout which was outstanding.

Lovely space, and excellent service. We dined rather early (6:45) on a Saturday and the place was practically empty. By the time we were finished, it had picked up a bit but still seemed slow for a Saturday. They probably don't get much walk-in business due to location - not a lot of foot traffic, at least not on a weekend.

A couple items were over-seasoned (crust on salmon was too salty but otherwise quite good, salad dressing was much saltier than necessary, and the smoked salmon "intermezzo" was extremely spicy, and we were not warned) Otherwise, food was interesting and tasty. (I did mention these to our waiter and he apologized and said he would tell the chef.)

Our server was absolutely amazing. She was attentive and knowledgable about the menus. The food was decent. All in all it was a good experience but I do not think I will be returning for dinner.

Second time here. First time, I went all tapas. Enjoyed salt cod croquettes, and empanadas. Second time, my companions had tapas and raved about the grilled peach and proscuitto salad. I had paprika-fired chicken entree -- ok but not memorable. My biggest problems here -- service was slow and sporadic and the noise in the dining room rises to the uncomfortable level.
