My husband and I loved this restaurant. The food was amazing, we will definitely be going back.
We always love this place. Creative dishes with flair allow us to stretch the palettes of our kiddos and they love it!
Need tone down music, food great
Lovely dinner with wonderful friends
The food is absolutely phenomenal and I can see why two of their dishes are iconic Houston dishes!
Great appetizers, we ordered the seafood soup (vuelve a la vida) and it was ok but I wouldn’t order it again. The guavarita was way too sweet for our taste and We couldn’t perceive the tequila in it. The service from one of the waitress needs improvement but it was not bad.
Broiled oyster were amazing, and so what the tamale. Wolf Definitely recommend.
The service is very good - kind and attentive at all times. The food is also excellent. The fish is cooked perfectly and paired with masterfully steamed vegetables. I come back here regularly.
we celebrated our co-worker's bday, food was excellent.
They are great. Very fast service and what I like the most is the environment
Always a great time and great food.
I had been wanting to try this place for a long time. Went for lunch date one day. The service was horrible. Had to ask multiple times for tea refills. Anything we asked for took way too long to bring. Server didn’t know the menu. The food was decent, but for the price, I expected much better.
They took quite a bit to bring the food they only had 2 waitresses
The whole fish is good! U must try it.
Went for restaurant weeks, and the food was awesome, server was super helpful, and the margs were great! We will be back
Poor service.
HRW menu was a great selection!
Great food, great service, great coffee (the ten-minute one).
My husband and I had a Friday date night at La Fisheria during restaurant week and enjoyed dining outside. The food and cocktails were outstanding!
Food was great, and amazing cocktail selection. The lights are a little too dim for me but it was still nice experience.
Great food and service.
Food was average. Nothing that really stood out.
It was a very good dining experience. The food had amazing flavor and the staff was great. I can't wait to take more friends there for another memorable dining experience. I would absolutely recommend La Fisheria to all of my friends and family.
La Fisheria hit the spot when we searched for the best seafood in town. Everything we had was delicious!
Excellent quality food
Our server was very attentive and the food was very good. We had ceviche, empanadas and the pompano. It was all delicious.
Happy to just out, good was great, server was friendly and suggested great food. Overall loved it and would go back at any time.
Friendly staff and food is delicious.
We went Cinco de Mayo and the restaurant was very accommodating. The staff was pleasant and offered us hand sanitizer. The tables were labeled to ensure that safety protocols were followed.
Great and very consistent food, friendly atmosphere and the owner was there to make sure we had a great time
The food was amazing. The owner was great, he brought over several dishes that he recommended and I liked all of them. The bartender Angela was friendly and very professional, she can make great cocktails. I am looking forward to returning.
The staff was slammed even though the restaurant was not packed. Photos look great and food descriptions are good, but the meal was less than satisfying. A tamale was just a big blob of dough and the seafood 'soup' was a broth with ingredients still in their shells (how do you pull a crab out to shell it at the table?) . At least the restaurant didn't charge for the untouched soup. Music was way too loud drowning out any attempt at a conversation. Sigh.....
Mexican soul food with emphasis on seafood, unique and delicious. Initial service was good but entrees took a while and we got someone else's credit card (neighboring table...we just swapped). I will return as their food is so great, price range is good, and it's close to the theaters.
Great food, waitress accidentally spilt tray of drinks, got all over my coat and purse, but accidents happen. It was OK. Would go back.
Food does not taste as good as it just to be when they were close to I-10.
Drinks are still well mixed. Service is good too.
Bar was great. Enjoyed Antonio the bartender.
Had made reservations for6:00. They tried to seat us right at the entry by all the foot traffic coming in. Asked for different table, put us as far in back as they could, where we were almost forgotten.
Quacamole appetizer was very good. Salads came out with entree, so didn’t get to enjoy that since entree was getting cold
Food was ok nothing special. We had 3 people at a tabletop, it was so small we hardly had room for plates and drinks.
Had seen a lot of good reviews, but it was just an ok dining experience.
We got there early, 5:30 so seated immediately. It was still quiet. Got our drinks fast and the were fantastic. Ordered appetizers, got the trio ceviche and the guacamole. Both were excellent. The ceviche was very fresh and bright with all the citrus flavors. Guacamole was a perfect mix and seasoned well, I loved the fried pork rinds in it. It was an unexpected and very pleasant flavor combination. We shared the chef’s special red snapper. It was a huge slab of the best and freshest tasting fish I’ve had in a long time. We got it grilled, with the sides it was more than we could finish. We did eat all the fish though. I would absolutely recommend and will definitely go back.
Food is really great , from Apps to although the dishes have varied since the original chef left,
Romantic Valentines Day dinner for our first time eating at La Fisheria. I had sampled the food before as a news photographer so I already knew what to expect. The food we selected from the specially prepared menu was fantastic! Ceviche, empanadas, shrimp tamales and chocolate cake were superb! We even tried the special mixed drinks featured and those were good, as well. Romantic music was played nearby that wasn’t overbearing or too loud to talk over. The ambience was perfect and the service exceptional. We had a room booked at Hotel ICON with dancing and drinks at Etro Lounge. With everything in walking distance, it turned out to be a perfect evening! We will definitely be back to explore more of the menu at La Fisheria!
Took a while to get served in spite of light traffic. Food was very good tasting and satisfying once it came.
Would have preferred thicker tortilla chips for substantive guacamole, instead of very thin ones that easily broke!
You serve handmade tortillas only 3 small ones with an $80 plate for 2; that is okay, but $3 up charge for extra tortillas; came across as chintzy and cheap! Irritating!
Happy hour until 6:00 p.m. advertised on signs posted at entrance was not honored! Bad impression for 1st time diners here.
Music did not go with visit on Valentine's Day OR with restaurant food and ambience.
All told and in spite of shortcomings would give this place another chance!
