   I made a birthday reservation on Open Table and when I arrived, the restaurant was closed!!! No call back from restaurant (or email) or Open Table that they would not be opened and the website showed they were supposed to be opened at the time of my reservation. Ruined my birthday so I am “not a fan”!!!!

   Wow! We loved everything we had at La Fin! The best whole fish, eggplant meatballs, burgers and desserts! You can’t go wrong. And the atmosphere is gorgeous! Fishing boats and stunning decor all work perfectly side by side at my favorite Montauk restaurant ! Can’t want to go back soon.

   Got there early and had drinks. Meal was fantastic. A bit pricey, but this is NY and Montauk. Coming from CT, a bit over. Service and food was fantastic. Will do again next year.

    What happened to La Fin?! It was lovely last summer… now the food quality is terrible. The cauliflower flatbread is horrible (was awesome last season) , the eggplant meatballs are bland, etc. Was a regular , will not return. There are so many better options at these prices, folks.

    Beautiful setting decent food at a high price point been there multiple times in the past however last time the service was completely off. Drinks spilled, Missing silverware, no bowl for the mussel shells. I definitely would give them another chance because it's a great spot.

    Very nice ambiance but very overpriced for the food and service. Pretty limited menu in regard to entree choices (for dinner at least). Not sure I would return but lovely atmosphere and view.

    Reservé después de ver el site de la internet. Pedimos unos cavattelis y nos trajeron spaghetti. Pedí un bife y lo trajeron quemado. En fin muy caro para la comida que sirven.

    Service is slow. Wait staff disappears for long periods of time. They don’t know the menu. Three people in our party ordered fluke which turned out to be a portion for two and our waiter never suggested that the dish would be too much food for one person. In addition, the portion size was not noted on the menu. Very disappointing experience. Management needs to spend some time training their wait staff and updating the menu descriptions. We will not be going back or recommending La Fin to our friends.

    We had a wonderful time! The food was delicious- the fish was so fresh, and our server was amazing! Loved the cocktails! Would definitely recommend this restaurant!

    We didn’t go to this place last summer when it opened, but tried it this summer and very happy we did! They are still working out the flow, but they did smart things like asking us to wait for our reserved table (like many others) to ensure the servers were not too overwhelmed, resulting in lousy service. The managerial staff was helpful and friendly. Most importantly, the food was delicious and carefully prepared. We will be back!

    This place as done an absolute 180 from our lovely experience last year after it opened. The service was horrendous, they attempted to double charge us for drinks we were explicitly instructed to pay for at the bar (then they also mysteriously made it to our table check), they served us undercooked mussels, then charged us to replace them after trying to convince my friend they were fine. 😂 Our entrees arrived a full hour after we were finished with our apps. I guess i can offer the positive comment that the food was good. The experience was absolutely not worth it though. The haggling over the bill at the end just took the cake, it was such a weird thing to have to do.

    Starters: Bread was stale and dry. Agave butter was saccharine. Tomato salad tasted good but the foam mozzarella was crazy. Dinner: Burger was dry and overcooked. The fries were unsalted. The tuna tasted good but the charred corn did not taste fresh. We skipped dessert. Overall service was uncoordinated. We were told we couldn’t order apps before ordering the entrée. At the elevated price point, wouldn’t recommend.

    This was probably one of the worst dining experiences my fiancé and I have ever had. Our server did not interact with us at all. When we sat down, he asked us what type of water we wanted, we answered. And that was it. Our glasses were never filled. We had to ask a different server for water. The tables next to us and our table all had different glassware for water. I actually had a different glass for water compared to me fiancé. It was just very sloppy. When our cocktails came, the server served us and the table next to us at the same time—literally gave us one drink, the table next to us one drink, us again, and then the other table again. The sever never checked up on us one time during our whole meal. In fact, he could never be found. When the check came, he put down the bill and didn’t say a single thing to us. No “thank you,” no “hope you enjoyed your meal,” nothing. Just walked away. And didn’t even give us a pen to sign the bill with! And the food. What a disappointment for a place that wasn’t cheap! The oysters were TINY!! My fiancé and I were surprised they were even served. We had their green salad and it was clear as day that the salad had been sitting for a while as the leaves were soaking wet with dressing. I ordered the lobster cavatelli but got spaghetti instead. There was no mention that there would be a substitution. No big deal but how about a heads up. In fact, when the pasta was put down, the bus boy actually said “lobster cavatelli.” The gentleman next to me ordered the same dish and he too was surprised that he was given spaghetti. Also the pasta was not salted! Rookie move!! The fries that came with my fiancé’s burger were old and stale. Just an overall disappointing experience.

    The drinks were exceptional, the music and atmosphere nice and some of the food was good. Meh on some too. Our table was wobbly, food was left off the order and the lobster pasta offering was underwhelming. The baked clams were the best dish we had there or maybe we had anywhere.

    Had dinner here Sunday night, the atmosphere, food and service was exceptional. My husband ordered an entree but they ran out- the wonderful manager Armando would not have this. He had a special meal made (on him) for him to enjoy while he had the chef make the original entree he wanted as well. We had pleasant conversation with the owner, chef and manger (Armando) and it was an amazing experience. This kind of warmth and hospitality is unheard of these days, what a nice reminder it still exists, you just have to find the right places. We are customers for life, thank you La Fin!

    So disappointing. While prices have been raised, quality has been lowered. Ordered same exact meal as I did last summer (Quinoa with Farm veggies) and the portion size and contents were night and day....farm veggies were significantly lacking. Also, if you are going to charge $47 for lobster pasta meal, make sure to put some lobster pieces in it. Husband had to ask for lobster on the side since there were tiny scraps only in the meal. The wine special was $15/glass for Whispering Angel Rose; however, we were charged $18/glass on receipt but didn't notice until after we had left. Service was outstanding - loved our waiter, no complaints there. Bathrooms were filthy and whole vibe was just off. Sadly, we will not return.

    SOOOO GOOD!! Beautiful inside and outside. Food was fantastic and they are able to accommodate my gluten free daughter with almost every item in the menu! Waiter was so nice! This was our best dinner in montauk!!

    This place is great. Not sure what’s up with all of these negative reviews. Our waitress, Anna, was amazing - the drinks and food were awesome. Is it overpriced ? Sure. But so is all of Montauk. Amazing ambience and views. Went there with a party of 6 and a newborn - was just a great time. Highly recommend.

    La fin has to be one of the best restaurants out in Montauk. A very welcoming and charming experience. The staff was extremely knowledgeable and made some great recommendations. I have to say I enjoyed every single bite from eggplant meatballs to truffle scallops.

    There is nothing good about La Fin. The place is not farm to table. The food is barely edible and it seems they have transgressed from trying to be an upscale hip lounge to a montauk money grab of drug fueled millennials, zero care about the food they are making and even less care by their wait staff about the service they are providing. To see the amount of people staggering out of there on Saturday night at 11:45pm that could barely walk from their bathroom white power visit was estonishing. This is in addition to the inappropriate and ego driven bouncers when you arrive trying to hit on every woman, the rudest wait staff wanting you to leave before you even get your first drink to the garbage burger you are forced to order because you are afraid to order anything else. A sad and worrisome place.
