So who's the master of pasta at La Favola? That would be Italian chef Fabio Stefanelli.
Stefanelli's recipe for success is simple — six pastas and six sauces, and patrons can mix and match as they please.
So La Favola's Family is committed to producing top quality Italian gastronomy, to the use of authentic ingredients, and to keeping the tradition of Italian culture and hospitality vibrant and passionate.
We look forward to serving you!

We had the best dinner at la favola for our 8th wedding anniversary the food was amazing it was buzzing it had an awesome vibe we will definitely be going back
The food was delicious and a great selection on offer for both meat eaters and vegetarians. I would definitely recommend
One of our party felt that their meal was smaller than expected - he had the beef ragu with spaghetti.
It was on the smaller size.
Food was fine, however our entre came out very late, despite the fact it was only a caprese salad (sliced tomato with mozzarella) and fries, and our mains came 5 min after the entre so it came all at once.
For entree we had carpaccio and bruschetta. Carpaccio was amazing!! Would definitely order again. I had the dal mare pasta.. it was good but not amazing.. wouldn't order again. Though my friend ordered the carbonara and she absolutely loved it! It was Abit too cramped in there.. seems like there wasnt much space in between other diners and the waiters kept bumping into us! Don't blame them as there's not much space to move around! Seats were very uncomfortable..
Always a consistently great meal. Food is fantastic, service great, and ambience perfect. My personal favourite is the Burrata (when it’s on special!), and Fettuccine Carbonara! Go! You won’t be disappointed.
Would definitely come here again
Service was very friendly
Great food. Great atmosphere. Live music. Yeah. Quite expensive with alcohol. $25 NSW voucher accepted.
Oc cheeks & Marren pasta delicious
Tirimasu was a generous portion & yummy
Calamari had a terrible flavour and looked sun dried
I ordered eggplant and ricotta pasta, there was barely any ricotta on the pasta which was super disappointing. Definitely not what I was expecting for an Italian restaurant
Our food was delicious and we could not fault the service. It was a great experience and we will definitely be back.
Food is nice. Uncomfortable chairs. I couldn't relax sitting on this chairs.
LA FAVOLA is the latest subject of socal media 'buzz' with amateur 'Foodies' all eager to sing its praises and encourage all to heed their 'Just HAVE TO TRY THIS PLACE ' advice.
Indeed i heeded to the hype and visited this establishment
La Favola is indeed, a very exquisite and quirky restaurant situated on a busy stretch of King St. Timing of my booking proved fortuitous as i was able to park right in front of the place!
The Staff are attentive, prompt and extremely courteous - no fault there. The Maitre D greeted my party with a warm smile advising our table wasnt yet ready ; but would be very soon. It was a quick entry as we were shortly ushered to our table
Our meal of FOCACCIA starters; Mains of SEAFOOD STEW and GNOCCHI ( La Favola prides itself on its offer of pasta made on the premises) and rounded off with LEMON MERINGUE and BOMBA only strongly supported the hype made for this place. Food was hot, delicious and plentiful. Again, the staff ensured the experience was a warm one and gladly took pride in sharing their expertise and skill.
The SAUV BLANC and LEMONCELLO put the final cream on the cake for a most lovely dining experience.
When it comes to the bill - just be prepared that such an experience comes at a price. And it also comes as a mild shock.
You will briefly ask yourself " was is THAT good? " and you may even ponder that more in the days after.
LA FAVOLA is worth the trip.....just make certain you have plenty of space on your MAstercard or Savings to enjoy this place to its full
It was my second time dining here and I absolutely loved it as much as I did the first time. Lovely staff - super friendly and understanding after we were a little late to our booking. Food was beautiful. It was just abit warm inside maybe because it was a full house! Definitely returning again soon!
The restaurant made bookings avaliable when their kitchen was closed. They did call and asked us to come earlier, which we tried. However, traffic meant we arrived at our allocated booking time.
The chef was still cooking, but we were not allowed to have our booking.
My partner and I really love the carpaccio here! The oysters were delicious as well 👌😙
Amazing highly recommend
Amazing pasta! So fresh and tasty, best in Sydney!!!
The food was beautiful and atmosphere was great. However, it was very noisy and we did have to wait a while before we ordered, but other than that it was a great experience
So noisy! Fantastic food and service spoilt by such a racket - hard floors, hard walls , ceiling -its an echo chamber - some basic sound insulation would fix it!
refined hearty italian with service to match and great wine, what's not to love, will be back.
Improve the menu. Always the same set of pasta. Good food though.
Informed the waiter I was pregnant and can’t have raw food. Asked if the scallop could be well cooked and was served it with raw salmon underneath. Pasta was warm and under seasoned. Was worth a try
The food was fantastic, the customer service was sensational, the venue itself was amazing, I would recommend this place to all of my friends and family.
Definitely worth a visit, the food alone is worth the trip
Last Sunday lunch was real Italian event, with good food, outside setting and typical Italian food to enjoy.
Great food and friendly staff. Needed another staff member to maintain momentum.
Small and unpretentious place with great food and service. If you don’t like loud voices near you, then this isn’t the place to go! The carpaccio was simply divine, but I’ve had better carbonara in my time.. overall value is appropriate and experience was good.
Would go back
Exceptional authentic Italian culinary experience
Really lovely food and service, will dine there again
Too noisy, won’t be back. Good gluten free though. About 1/7th of $150 bill was various service charges
Love this place - food is phenomenal and staff so lovely, food came very quickly.
The team at La Favola made us feel welcome the moment we arrived and looked after us wonderfully. The place has a minimalist, very tidy yet homely feel. From the antipasto platter through the pastas every dish was extremely fresh and delicious. The pasta was so good it compares to what you get in Italy. The wine list includes some interesting Italian wines worth trying. We had to skip desserts as the boys are young and needed to get to bed, but the chilled limoncello was superb. Thank you, Fabio and team, we look forward to many more meals with you.
Fantastic menu, excellent service. Highly recommend.
Amazing food, great atmosphere!
The service was amazing, one of the girls called me up beforehand just to confirm that it was okay if we were seated outside. We had a group of 8 and not all of us arrived on time, but they were very patient and pleasant.
Food was great, it came out quickly and was very tasty. We ordered 3 different types of creamy pastas and I was worried they’d all taste the same, but they had very distinct flavours.
Excellent atmosphere, definitely will come back.
Great food and service
Highly recommend this place
Just like being in a side alley restaurant in Italy, food & atmosphere spot on..
It is often a great place to eat. Only this one evening, the two ladies serving did not seem to be interested in their jobs.
La Favola was a wonderful little restaurant, the food was excellent (cannot recommend their focaccia enough!) and the staff were lovely.
