La Fava of Glen Mills
This was our second time at La Fava and the only reason I gave 4 stars on service was because our waiter was new and still hadn’t learned the ropes. Otherwise, the food and desserts were great. We will definitely go back again.
Father’s day at La Fava in Glen Mills was spectacular. We were entertained by Rich DeSimone (Frank Sinatra). Wow, what a talent.
He was great!!!
The food was excellent. We had the Lobster bisque, and the meatballs as appetizers. Chicken Parmigiana for dinner. We had a choice for dessert of tiramisu, cannoli’s, or sorbet. We had the sorbet.
Everything was wonderful. I can’t wait to take my father there. He’ll love it.
Great experience! The food was fabulous. The Bronzino and the strawberries flambé were out of this world. Can’t wait to come back.
We had a wonderful dinner experience at La Fava and plan to return. Often when we dine out, something disappoints, but not here. The service and food were excellent.
The food is delicious! Staff is very friendly and attentive. How much more do you need?
It is dinning so be prepared to wait but worth it.
Tonight did not measure up to my first visit-
Was disappointed with the service, food and overall experience.
Willing to give it another chance before making a final decision on this restaurant.
I would suggest happy hour. But our overall experience was very average for dinner.
What a disappointment. The service was poor. It took 20 minutes before our order was taken. 60 more minutes before our food arrived. When it did, one entree was cold and two were over-cooked. The noise level was way over the top, not allowing table conversation. The food is ok, not special and overpriced. Not a great experience. We will not return.
Was extremely happy with both the food and the service. Our waiter was outstanding even though the restaurant was packed. The noise level was extreme though and I would not recommend going if you want to talk to anyone.
Food was quite good and portions generous. Mixed salad had too much dressing. “On the side” should have been offered. The menu was varied and well done. Noise level really needs to be addressed with sound baffling. Wine pour at $12 was stingy. We’d go back but not on weekend.
La Fava was a very good experience. We thought it was another Mexican type Restaurant but was pleased to discover that it was a Mediterranean Restaurant. We sampled different plates on our first trip there. We will go back......with friends.
I had reserved an early birthday dinner for my husband during the happy hour time. The waitress lets us know happy hour specials are only at the bar after we inquire about it. We have been to numerous restaurants in the city and suburbs and this was our first time encountering this. So we move to bar with our baby. The drinks were really good but the appetizers were very mediocre. The main host drops the alcohol bottle in the cooler and splashes the water on my husband. I was already ready to leave this pretentious place.
We went back to the main dining area to finish our meal with an entree and dessert. My husband got the bison and he liked it. I got the seafood spaghetti dish. All the seafood was over cooked and the entire dish was underwhelming. Our dessert was supposed to be caramel pistachio flan but instead of pistachio we had almonds...
Service was cold. They seem flustered and still trying to figure things out. I probably won’t return for dinner. Italian restaurant in glen mills Il Granaio is way better in terms of good and service.
We have had food in multiple Mediterranean countries and I don’t know why people are raving about the food. It’s not good at all.
After 15 minutes was advised our order was not available. My friend was then notified they were out of broccoli rabe after that. Waited for wine which was a minimal pour for the $$$
Wonderful new restaurant in the Glen Mills area! Everything we ordered was outstanding and delicious, from the cocktails to the appetizers and entrees. Service was very accommodating of my 1 year old nephew, they had the high chair at the table ahead of our arrival. Would highly recommend and we will definitely be back!
We have come back to La Fava several times since it recent opening. We have never been disappointed in anything about the experience. It has quickly become amongst our favorite restaurants.
Food was good to very good. One of our group thought the butchers special was too dry for her taste, another liked it s lot. The lobster ravioli and fish were very good. It gets VERY loud with some customers and waitstaff using LOUD voices — not much / any noise attenuation.
Great food and location. Celebrated high school graduation. Would go back and would consider having a bigger party at La Fava.
We were super impressed. The food was delicious. The mussels were great, sauce was really tasty and delicious. My entree was awesome. I ordered the fish soup. It was a large portion, my husband had the grouper with risotto. Our dessert was special, apple pie with vanilla ice cream. Heavenly!
And the price point was very reasonable. We will definitely go again.
This was our first time visiting La Fava. The food was delicious and generous portion sizes. Our server was attentive without being over intrusive. We really enjoyed the meatball appetizer.
Such an incredible experience from the moment we entered to the time we paid our check. The food was outstanding and the drinks were delicious. Service is top notch as well. Everyone there seemed to work together to make sure all of the guests had a great time! We will definitely be coming back!
The service was outstanding as was the food. However, it was quite noisy and we felt it was a bit on the pricey side for the venue.
Went with seven friends on a recommendation of someone else. We were seated and our sever interduces herself and with our group being in our 70's she spoke loud and clear which was something young people don't do. She explained the menu and told us what the specials were. She took our drink order and when she returned we gave her our dinner order. The dinner came out in a timely fashion and mine was great now a couple lady's got the flat bread and they each took half home, and they thought it was to thick and a little to much on it ? All and all it was a great experience and we will go back and we feel this place will stay were others haven't.
Amazing restaurant. Family owned and operated and they are awesome. Food is spectacular. Can’t wait to go again.
I hope this restaurant survives in this place. The food was excellent and the bill wasn’t too high for a non-BYOB.
Very good food, great service from Haley and each staff member — very nice warm staff. Very loud with no noise abatement. Cute decorations to create nice dining environment.
Rare now to find a decent restaurant where you can actually have a conversation with your partner. How refreshing! Good food, nicely portioned desserts and great wine list.
Seriously the best Italian I’ve had in a long time !! The calamari combo is insane and different . The prosciutto with lemon is perfect for anytime . Try the meatballs !! So far I’ve loved everything
It was our first time at La Fava and we were pleasantly surprised. The decor is nice and the food is excellent. The service was prompt and wait staff very informed on all items on the menu. The prices are reasonable for both the food and the drinks. My husband loved the cannellini bean and rabi dish and the pasta dishes we had were excellent. On the down side, it is a bit noisy so you do have to speak louder than normal so that the person you are talking to can hear you. We will definitely bring our family here when they come to visit.
Our first visit here and it was very nice! We had the Langostino for our appetizer- they were delicious! My husband had the Monkfish osso bucco and I had the Rigatoni Norma- they were both excellent. Thank you for a lovely evening!
We had a great meal! Will definitely be going back!
We had a wonderful time. Our food was just delicious, server Christina was excellent, attentive and so personable. Gave great food recommendations. Love the new decor.
Great quality food the sets itself apart from other restaurants. The decor is stylish and welcoming.
Poor advertising regarding limited buffet options and pricing. Children’s buffet price for 39 dollars is insane. Warm white wine on display for a complimentary glass is a definite no. Mediocre food - mostly bland and store bought. Only made the reservation to try the food on their menu - and none was available.
We went for Mother's Day. We were sat at a table that was not wiped down, causing 2 of my guests to have sticky hands, which was strike 1. I understand buffet brunches probably don't give you the best impression of the food, but boy was it bland. The eggplant parm may have been the saltiest item I've ever tasted. Strike 2. Strike 4 came with the bill- $49 a head for Mother's Day. I would have expected half decent service and half decent food at half the price. I honestly cannot suggest this place to anybody.
We went to La Fava for the first time for Mother’s Day brunch and enjoyed it very much. The food was fresh, service was quick and the selection of breakfast and lunch items was quite good. We look forward to trying it for dinner in the near future.
Mothers Day brunch
Our Mother’s Day buffet was wonderful! Good food and excellent service!
Mother’s Day brunch was perfect. Buffet; So much food to choose from. Everything was presented beautifully and tasted delicious. Staff was attentive and very friendly. We’ll be back.
