La Fabrique Ratings and Reviews
Service was excellent! Food was just ok, had the beef tartare as a starter, it was pretty good, the risotto for dinner was disappointing. No artichokes as promised, very salty beets as a garnish...had the pain perdu as a desert, it was good but I was expecting a wow.
We were impressed with the inventive menu and unique presentations. The taste combinations were such that we would not have imagined several of the items going together so well - but it worked!
The wine list is small, but has some unusual selections. It has obviously been put together with care and attention to the food.
This was our last meal of our trip to Montreal. This place was very unique in both the look and the creativity of the food. Every bite I had was tasty and I finished off with a cortado that was perfectly made. We would highly recommend brunch at this place.
Visited with a friend before going to a show at Théâtre Mainline. Neither of us are wine drinkers, so we had a beer each. There weren't a lot of options for beer, but they were good. Our waitress was very attentive and willing to answer questions. We had the foie gras torchon to start, then I got the steak and my friend got the lamb stew. Everything we ate was amazing, and food came at a good pace. We enjoyed getting to watch things get made in the kitchen. Excellent dining experience, I'm glad that we happened upon it on our weekend visit to the city.
We had a good dinner, service was good, we initially in the back by the kitchen but the staff moved us to the front when a table became available. Initially we went to the next door restaurant called "La Fabrique Anex" told we didn't have a reservation. The waiter came back and said we were booked next door - two restaurants next to each other with similar names, owned by the same owner......
Food was very good - the lamb curry was a little short on curry flavor but other than that good.
The front of the restaurant has full open window so it was fun to watch the Montreal traffic and Street scene as you eat. The wait staff was relaxed but attentive. All round a great visit.
