The menu is very small. It would be great to have a bigger selection
Server was extremely slow to get to our table. We were seated but never approached by a waiter until we asked someone for service.
La Fábrica Central was a great place to go and eat, drink and dance. Had a really good time there:)
We stopped in after a festival in Cambridge. We each got a cocktail and those were delicious. I would highly recommend their drinks. We ordered a few appetizers. It took a little while to get our food, but we were enjoying the ambiance. I can say the food is okay and possibly a bit overpriced. I would definitely return.
Very expensive and poor quality food. We arrived 15 minutes earlier for our reservation, there is no waiting area and the guy on second Bar was very rude when we tried to seat to have a drink while waiting for our table. It was my first and last experience at La Fabrica.
I loved the restaurant. We were able to sit outside on their patio.
All the servers were helpful and warm.
I will be back!
Not a good first impression as the hostess was rude. But the place was crowded and hopping with large groups. Very noisy. The rest of the service was attentive. I loved the chicken empanada. I also liked the shrimp with risotto. My husband did not love the arroz con pollo but he is picky. Very convenient to the Central Square Theater We’d go back before theater but prob not otherwise.
Love the food here.
This is the best Caribbean and especially Puerto Rican restaurant in New England bar none. Chef Giovanna Huyke, a veteran and celebrity Chef, puts tremendous attention to the quality and uniqueness of the cuisine and gastronomic experience. I am Latin (Cuban & Puerto Rican) and I can tell you that after 30 years as a Boston resident who has tried many Latin outfits, this is the REAL Thing!
Perfect have a good time and good food the club was to pack
The food is amazing and the staff is so friendly! The music and dancing are great - the perfect way to end the evening!
I'm willing to try it again, but I would not recommend it to anyone until I see that the service could be improved. Our waiter disappeared for long periods, took forever to take our drink order, prompting us to hurry to order food while we had him there. Some of the food was delicious, some was so-so. But because we had to rush to choose - figuring it would take even longer to be served because it would take so long for him to take the order - we didn't always make the best choices. We noticed that almost everyone at tables along the wall was waiting. But the waiter failed to let us know if there was a problem in the kitchen, if there was. VERY DISAPPOINTED. We've been many times before and liked it. Now? Not so sure.
We are repeat customers and have usually loved the food. This last time the food was less flavorful, the salad came without the cheese- we think the kitchen may not have heard the waiter correctly and the panda cotta was not as eggy as on previous occasions. But, based on prior good experiences we expect to eat there again.
This is a bit expensive but the cocktails are good and so are the small plates. I wasn't a big fan of the main plates, everytime I tried something, it was overcooked and dry.
Food, music, atmosphere was great. Great place to have drinks and dance.
Nice Spanish Caribbean food.
Good flavor, tasty, nice presentation and service.
Energetic ambiance. Front room is bar with live music; gets loud. Back room restaurant.
Red snapper ceviche was good served with plantain chips.
Mariscos Rice was very tasty.
Red snapper fried whole fish was moist and very nice presentation. Served with sweet potato purée.
Delicious food - lots of it gluten free - with delightfully helpful staff. Good sized portions. Nice beer and cocktail list.
It seemed we did not have a waiter assigned to our table. We sat for 25 minutes with no service and finally called over a waiter who was walking by to ask what the situation was. My husband wanted to leave at that point. The waiter was very courteous and took the liberty of taking our order and providing a good service. 5 stars to him but not the restaurant. Will not return or recommend.
Had a 6:00 reservation for 3 people. 1 member arrived on time. 2 of us got caught in terrible traffic and didn’t arrive until 6:30. Restaurant was great, and saw our food arrived quickly and we made our 7:30 curtain at the Central Sq Theater next door!
Great food, great atmosphere, great place to go! -----------------
Food was expensive, very underspiced, and very underwhelming. If you have Puerto Rican or Dominican food more than once a year, this place is not for you.
I arranged this as a birthday dinner for my partner, It would have been a nice touch to get some sort of acknowledgement since this was the first time visiting and eating at restaurant. Ambience good, food ok, not great. Drinks were a mix up and it took a while to get correct drink for my table. Ok experience. May visit again for lunch sometime, not dinner. Definitely not for a special occasion. Every guest should feel extraordinary, whether its 2 people or 20 people on special occasions. What made it a nice visit? The customers we were seated next to. Vey jovial without being intrusive.
Lovely gem in Central Square.
Interesting ambiance: bar with music in front restaurant in back but good separation so one doesnt kill the other's vibe.
Very tasty food - attentive service - a whole lot to like
Horrible food .... inexperienced waiters ... stale food
For me, the main selling points here are proximity to the (adjacent) theater and the discount for ticket-holders. The main dining room is dark & windowless. The front windows have no table near them, & there's only a long communal table by the side windows. Not to my liking.
My entree was tasty & nice looking, but the $25 price of most main courses is on the high side.
It was On and Popping..... Great Food, drinks and atmosphere. Oh My!!!!
I saw this restaurant on the Phantom Gourmet and went to the restaurant on their recommendation.
I WILL NEVER DO THAT AGAIN. I DROVE FROM RI AND THE EXPERIENCE WAS HORRIBLE.
THE FOOD WAS NOT WORTH THE DRIVE!
We were seated in the rear of the restaurant, far from the noise and crowds, (though close to the kitchen door) and were there on the early side, so at least at that hour and location, we could actually converse. The 4 of us started with some small plates, and then moved on to small or shared entrees. Everything was delicious, with unusual components, lovely sauces and dips, and appealing presentations. The service was pleasant and unhurried. We gave it 8 thumbs up and will definitely go back.
Congratulations event for friend’s new job
Very good latin food (mostly Puerto Rican) with excellent service. Worth going to with a date. very nice interior atmosphere.
Food was not authentic& services was very slow. Not what I was expecting. This place is more for people that have never tasted Spanish food before.
Food is excellent in terms of quality, quantity, presentation, and value. Lovely brunch.
The appearance is nice! The food is delicious and the music is great. Definitely I will back.
Me and my family went around 4pm. We've been eyeing the menu on the website for weeks. When we got there they had a limited menu different from the website menu. We were all disappointed and the food we did order was not that great. I must say the bartenders were great and the wait staff.
Good food and drinks felt very rushed on my girls night birthday dinner
Fun place, very good food and cocktails. Service was a bit of a bummer, waiter kept whisking things away and couldn't wait for us to leave. We were there early and there were plenty of tables so I'm not sure what the rush was...overall very good, but annoying to be rushed.
The food and service were amazing. I would definitely recommend visiting this restaurant and I will be visiting again.
I LOVE LaFabrica -- the food is amazing, the drinks are delicious (best mojitos!), staff is so friendly, and the commitment to jazz, and especially high-quality Latin Jazz is absolutely phenomenal. When a bunch of us go to hear our jazz musician-friends perform at LaFabrica, we love to reserve a seat at the large, communal table in the bar area to allow us to eat the delicious food, and have a perfect place to sit and listen to/watch the music. The only downside to this spot is that the servers tend to overlook us, so it can take a long time to place drink and food orders (but once placed, food & drink come out fast!). In the scheme of things, it's not a big deal, and no one at La Fabrica minds if we have to gently remind someone to take our order. At our favorite table, all of the waitstaff and host/hostess will step in to help. Thank you La Fabrica for your commitment to jazz, the Latin community, and students too -- we will support you 100% with our customer loyalty!
Had the rice with seafood. The flavors were muted. It seemed like it was from a Goya box.
