First time at La Fable. Food was fabulous. Had a little mixup with my entree - brought out incorrect selection. Restaurant rectified immediately and provided over the top accommodation for their error- of course without us saying a word.
Overall a wonderful experience- we’ll be back to enjoy another meal !!!
Our server was great and they fit us in last minute and created a private intimate table by the bar! It was just perfect all around.
First time and not disappointed. Having lived in France for a number of years and visiting once a month for over a decade while working for a French Company, La Fable is the "real thing" The food was authentic, delicious, substantial and varied. Add the deserts and especially the wine list and creative cocktails and you have all the ingredients of a true dining experience in a French atmosphere. We were glad we discovered the gem and it will be on our repeat list for a long time.
Foood and service were superb. I would give 5 stars but took 1 off for the ambiance and noise. We (my husband and I with a 20 yr old daughter) were seated at a table for three and they put us in the bar area . I guess because the other side is for table of 2 or four. I guess they didn’t want to loose out on money making for 4 vs. 3.
All was great….as usual.
Very loud customers.
This is one of our favorite eating establishments.
So, I finally made it to this lauded place. We went on a snowy night and perhaps that was part of why there was only one other couple in the dining room! I started with the beautiful and tasty Pomegranate French 75 and my partner, the Manhattan. Some elegant places serve lovely diminutive aperitifs. Nope, this is a real drink! I chose the Caesar salad, also a very generous mound of fresh and tasty romaine that was elegantly sized in a manner which would meet my mother’s approval. The partner had the seafood chowder, glorious and truly could have been dinner. My nostalgia won out and I had the Coquilles St. Jacques, just a rich perfection on a snowy evening. Well, despite our fill, when I saw Crème brûlée, I had to have it. The crust was rich and magnificent. For a foodie town, a new high standard has been set. And with an elegant atmosphere, creative menu, excellent waitstaff, they aim to please. Not a silly pretentious thimble of anything.
I love this little (almost) hidden gem. It’s a small space which makes it more intimate for me. The decor is nice and lighting low. The food of course is Devine.
Celebrated our anniversary at La Fable and it was a fantastic evening.
We arrived a bit early and had cocktails at the cozy little bar, just off the dining room.
Once seated and advised of the evenings specials we decided on:
Fromage Plate, a wonderful selection of various cheeses that worked great with our Sauvignon blanc.
Foie Gras with marinated berries, Excelent.
Poulet Cordon Bleu, a great version of the classic dish.
Coquilles St. Jacques, a personel favorite (get it almost every time) Delicous!
Finished up with Pistasio Tote and a glass of Port.
We have visited La Fable several times in the past and have never been disappointed.
The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Great bartender (found out during dinner that he had just started). The hostess was very attentive and friendly. AAA
We love the
The dining room reminds you of France.
The menu offered excellent choices. The service provided by Jodi was excellent. She was helpful and very knowledgeable. We will return again.
High class French cuisine. We were given a complementary champagne toast for our anniversary to start the meal, which impressed the wife tremendously. I had a memorable plate of escargot followed with hearty Beef Bourginion. She did salad and Pork Tenderloin. finished with the Chocolate mousse. All were lovely. Very pleasant evening altogether.
I took my lady out for her birthday here and we had a blast. The service and food was phenomenal!!
Excellent as usual--like being in a French bistro in Paris. Service and food were impeccable
The menu, decor, layout, music, and furniture tables were all perfect for a French bistro. The service was prompt and solicitous, while the food was delicous. We had Salade La Fable, roast duck, and trout; all were delicious and nicely presented.
Server was amazing
Very nice - always a great date night
New Years Eve Dinner was wonderful! A little loud….so people with hearing issues….like my husband. May have some difficulty hearing the other people at your table.
Food was wonderful! Presentation was fantastic! Our waiter was a little inattentive but overall it was a wonderful night.
Really delicious French bistro food. Intimate but lively atmosphere. Good service.
Absolutely delicious food and amazing atmosphere!
As always it was a wonderful evening out!!
The best food in Rehoboth, which is something given all the great restaurants here. Terrific service. The place was full, and thus a bit noisy.
Excellent meal & service. We will be back
The food was fantastic. My husband took me here to celebrate my birthday. It is a wonderful restaurant for special occasions or spending time with family and friends.
Menu is online with prices, which is nice.
It is a small space and the noise level is high. Persons with hearing difficulties may struggle with the noise level. We will definitely return to this restaurant as we love French food.
Best Fine Dining Establishment in Rehoboth Beach
Great place, great food, friendly staff and efficient service. Definitely a must
We went for my Christmas Eve birthday. The food and service were excellent. The small space made it quite noisy. I’ll put up with loud voices to have some of the best food I’ve had in Rehoboth Beach in the past 20 years.
The food and service was wonderful. My only complaint was the lighting -- it was hard to see my entree. The coq au vin was delicious but due to the dark color and poor lighting I was stabbing with my fork not quite sure what I was getting.
A pretty room with friendly, very helpful, very timely service. The food is very good and presented nicely. The entree's are a bit limited, but there are nightly specials. Wine list is limited as well. A special occasion destination. Possibly the best restaurant in Rehoboth.
Well staffed well run French restaurant that constantly turns out excellent dishes … wines are well selected … and overall great experience… thank you Victoria, our server
Everything was outstanding!! The service was top notch and the food was awesome.
Exceptional food and service! A great place to dine with the one you love!
We have been to la Fable before, but our friends were there for the first time. Our friends said this was their best meal in many years, and we were delighted to share one of our favorite places with them.
Our first time there...and definitely not our last. Ambiance was especially cozy due to Christmas decorations. Food was delicious and service was friendly and attentive.
The best French dinner since we were in France 🇫🇷. Superb cooking and service. We will definitely be back!
We have enjoyed dinner at La Fable in the past and found the presentation of our meals attractive with dishes well prepared and tasty. Dinner most recently was a disappointment. The romaine in the Caesar salad was rusty and the cheese appeared prepackaged. It was dry and lacking flavor. Our main courses did not live up to the quality expected in a restaurant noted for being dedicated to a top notch experience. The duck was undercooked (even for one who enjoys it on the rare side), and the chicken dish overcooked. On a positive note, the bread was delicious and the wine options lovely. Unfortunately, we found our server to be less than interested in our having a nice experience.
Incredible meal and great service. The sauces were outstanding and each plate well prepared and well presented. We had a large table next to us for most of the meal and the space is small so the noise level was probably louder than normal. Lovely and reasonable wine list as well.
Charming space with attentive staff and delicious food. The trout is amazing. Their soups are always delightful. They make a great cocktail. This redo is a real gem.
We dined at Fable to celebrate the holidays with visiting family. We each tried the onion soup, which was very delicious. I had the trout, which was a generous serving. It did not disappoint. My sister said it was the best she had ever tasted! We will be back!
Authentic and delicious French food with wonderful ambiance.
Was an excellent birthday dinner. Hostess was extremely accommodating and provided comfortable seating in the corner. Meal was paced perfectly and food was outstanding.
