Wonderful food and service! Just a nice experience
Our server this evening seemed new - new to service, not just new to La Fable. Forgot to get our drink order, then forgot the glasses of wine we ordered for our meal until we were well into the course. Just felt like the role was a bit of a stretch for him. Despite these deficiencies, the food was superb, as it has been each time we’ve visited. Two couples celebrating their anniversaries (33rd and 45th!!) sat nearby and we happily chatted. Both couples received a glass of champagne when they arrived, and a Happy Anniversary from their server. Nice touch.
La Fable had great food and service. Our waitress Jody was amazing!
We are at La Fable for our anniversary dinner. Our meal started with a complimentary champagne toast to help us celebrate. Our sever was outstanding. We shared the cheese tray for an appetizer, husband had seafood stew special for dinner and I had chicken cordon bleu, we shared crème brûlée for dessert. It was all outstanding!!!! Our drinks were fabulous. No one rushed you. The restaurant was busy, but noise level was still only moderate. It was an absolutely delicious and fabulous experience from start to finish and we will definitely be retuning.
We sat outdoors and had a truly magical evening. From cocktails to starters (soupe du jour- Butternut Squash and Steak Tartare) to mains (le porc et le canard) to dessert (Chmbord cake!) to Calvados after dinner drinks, we were delighted. We will definitely go back again when we are in Rehobath. The maitre’d, chef and wait staff went out of their way to see to our needs but in a non-invasive manner. Five stars for sure *
A charming restaurant with friendly, attentive staff, good food and wines.
Incredible food, awesome service and nice ambiance. It has it all!
Celebrated a wonderful evening at La Fable. The staff are super- very friendly and helpful. The food was amazing and the wine list also very good. With tip, 2 appetizers, 3 glasses of wine, 2 main courses, a shared dessert and generous tip the total was about $200. Very much worth the value
Start to finish ‘superb’ followed our server (Josh’s) recommendations for dinner and wine and couldn’t have been happier. Starting with the Fromage/Charcuterie platter and perfect blackberry bourbons, a great start.
The nights special was a delightful Bouillabaisse that was as good as I’ve ever had. In addition the Poulet Cordon Bleu was also expertly prepared. Both were accompanied by a refreshing Savion Blanc.
Dessert was a light parfait and a nice glass of port.
Great food, friendly atmosphere and a very good and informed staff You can’t ask for more.
It is too bad that Le Fable isn't a bistro, as it markets itself. It is an expensive French restaurant. Some of the food it worth the expense, but the lack of welcome makes it anything but a bistro, where, in France, folks wander to their neighborhood bistro and enjoy moderately-priced food, after being warmly welcomed.
All main courses are $38. Many appetizers are $12-18. Desserts are $12. Thus, with a drink or glass of wine, you will spend at least $100 a person. For that, you should feel welcomed.
We were not welcomed--warmly or otherwise. Our server was busy and appeared eager to get rid of us. The owner/manager never said hello, or stopped by to talk with us.
We used to love the space-and it used to be so full of good food, first with Richie (Dish) and then Ginger (Mixx). Now Le Fable has the food, but no warmth. Too bad.
Excellent from beginning to end!
Another fantastic meal at La Fable. Last time I had the Duck and it was great. This time I went with the Chicken cordon blue. Not like any one I have tried or made myself . Excellent! Give it a try. Our Server/bartender was great too.
We had a wonderful dinner here Saturday night. The staff is attentive and knows their food and wine! We have eaten here many times and every dish is delicious.
Good is always wonderful here and the service can’t be beat!!
We enjoyed our anniversary dinner here. Our table was ready and the staff did an excellent job welcoming us and making our night a special occasion. The menu is good French fare. The entree portions were larger than I expected.
A great find in Rehoboth. Great food, ambiance and a little bit of authentic france right here in town. One of our favorites.
Our server was very good. Beef bourguignon and steak frites excellent. The Cote de Rhône bottle of Beauvert was luscious. A lovely gem of a restaurant. Just a bit noisy but it is small. All the staff are very attentive.
This was the best meal that we had in Rehoboth, and one of the best we’ve had in DE. Best Caesar salad we’ve had for a long time, and my steak frites was not only an excellent cut of beef, but also cooked to perfection. And the bread is to die for!The wait staff was very attentive without intruding. We will definitely be returning.
Food is excellent. Staff is courteous and friendly. Definitely a favorite!
This was our first time here and it was great! Despite having the worst table (right by kitchen and bathroom) we still had a great meal. I would have given 5 stars but the escargot was way over done and hard. But the butter and garlic made for some great bread dipping! We will definitely go here again!
Great dining as always
absolutely wonderful! food was delicious, our server was a delight, and it was truly a great experience.
Excellent Bouillabaisse! The foi gras was excellent as well. We have had dinner there several times over the past five years since it opened and it has been consistently good.
The food, the service, the ambiance were excellent. The other patrons were fun to be around.
Fantastic food and service. Best escargot I’ve ever had. Seafood was fresh. Would go back in a heartbeat
Everything was wonderful, however the food was just a little over cooked. My chicken cordon blu was very dry. However the soup and appetizers were amazing.
The restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere and the staff were friendly, welcoming and professional. Every dish was excellent- salads, bouillabaisse, escargot, steak frites, poulet cordon bleu and the duck breast. The portions are generous and we did not have room for dessert. It was easy to converse over a table for five as the noise level was moderate, notwithstanding a pretty full restaurant. We will most certainly be going back again.
From start to finish they did an excellent job. Service was perfect. Cocktails and wine were delicious. Our meals were outstanding. We will be back.
My wife and I dined at La Fable for our anniversary. It was our first visit even though we have walked by it many times. It did not disappoint! The food was fabulous and the overall experience was like truly being at a Parisian restaurant. We will certainly be back.
Server and the food were fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hard to evaluate. Restaurants at the beach are generally pretty bad, and La Fable is much, much better than even a good beach restaurant. We'd consider going back.
But as a French restaurant, La Fable is mediocre. Service is good, ambience is good, but the menu lacks imagination and the food lacks seasoning and complexity. The Back Porch is a much much better restaurant and value. The menu is interesting and the execution way above average even for a comparable restaurant in DC, where we live.
If there’s one Restaurant in Rehoboth/Lewes you can depend on for exquisite food, unsurpassed service and a French bistro atmosphere, it’s La Fable. They never disappoint.
The mushroom soup, foie and steak were awesome. Salad, tartare and boulliabase were very good. Service was impaccable and the bread and butter are dangerous(will will you up-so good!)
Easily the best meal we had on our trip to Rehoboth Beach. Our server was fantastic and pared our wines perfectly!!! Every time we have eaten at La Fable it has been incredible - you can't go wrong with anything on the menu.
Wonderful meal, wonderful service, would go back when we're in town!!
Excellent foor, excellent service. Nice to find such ambiance in a Beach town.
I can’t recommend this restaurant enough! An evening spent there is like an evening spent on the Côte d’Azur. We dined at an outdoor table & I literally felt the Mediterranean, not the Atlantic, was down the street. Maître d’ Nathalie Langer will greet you, make sure you’re comfortably seated at your table & introduced to your waiter. And her son, Chef Benjamin Langer, prepares each meal with care in the true French tradition. The wait staff is very courteous & efficient. An absolutely wonderful experience for all!
Thr food was excellent! The staff was friendly and very attentive. It was not only the highlight of our vacation but also a very special birthday event I will not forget!!!
The “maitre d’hotel” always make us feel special, we always go back because of the great food and great service.
Excellent food and service. Noise level was overwhelming
