Did not receive my 100 pts on open table
a lovely experience, as always. Trout almondine and halibut were wonderful. Their house salad of radicchio and dried fruit and cheese was not your typical lettuce and tomato experience. Tables are tight, but it’s a small place with a cafe ambience.
best cosmopolitan martini! food was wonderful and waitstaff delightful
convenient location next to theatre which we were attending afterward. Food delicious but space is at a premium
This is a cozy, romantic little restaurant that made for a lovely night out. Our drinks were good, and our waitress was excellent. Quite simply, my dinner was one the best I've had. The chicken cordon bleu was spectacular, as was the duck my date ordered. The creme brulee was perfect too!
This was our first time and we were very please. The price point is but the food was delicious. We would definitely go back. Not a place for children. Service was very good. Do not be in a hurry.
Verry good meal with excellent service. Meal was well paced. Duck and Steak frites were good. Frites were not crispy which is the only reason I would not rate higher. Peppercorn sauce was well prepared any had great flavor. Excellent bottle of wine at a reasonable price. Will definitely go back!
The Food was outstanding but my red wine should have been decanted But management deducted it from the cost of meal
It was Bastille Day so what better place to express our fondness for La Belle France! Service and food were great from the manhattan to the soupe tomate and the ceasar salad to the boullibase and the boeuf burgonne .
Was one of the best dining experiences I have ever had. Every single thing we got was better than the next! The ambiance was beautiful and we can’t wait to go back!
La Fable reminds us of our favorite small out of the way French Bistros.
La Fable generates European class in a beach resort setting. The service is above par and the food is excellent. The unique French feel makes the experience that much better. I will definitely return and recommend it to friends and family that are seeking that one-of-a-kind dining experience. Anyone looking for excellent dining must stop at La Fable.
True french fare with great wine menu. Professional staff. Appetizers quite creative. Our group of 4 each thoroughly enjoyed our entrees of duck, scallops, halibut and trout. My favorite restaurant in Rehoboth/Lewes.
Delicious food. Lovely atmosphere. Wonderful staff.
One of our favorite places to eat. Our service was charming and skilled. The food is spectacular.
We loved our waiter. I think it was Darren? Looks like Sidney Pointier
Food was excellent, my chicken might have been a tad overdone, but my three companions all raved. The best chocolate mousse I have had since Paris. Darryl is a gem. Definitely a pro, this big city level service.
Each time we visit, we are more impressed. Last night was no exception. We started with foie gras and escargot, both excellent. For mains, my wife had the lamb shank, which was extremely tender, but too big. She brought half home (can’t wait for lunch!). I had duck orange, which was a large breast seared and then sliced. We opted to go with glasses or wine rather than a bottle. Wine by the glass offer a great selection. Service was outstanding! La Fable deserves its rave reviews.
Need a slightly bigger menu and the authentic French cuisine is so luscious—more of that
We have dined at La Fable about eight (8) times in the past twelve (12) months, including Christmas Eve with our family. Each meal has provided fantastic food with impeccable service. The only issue was when my wife and I shared the chocolate mouse for dessert. The mouse was heavy and not the usually fluffy consistency we’re accustomed to. Other than that, it was a lovely evening.
Everything was wonderful.
WAY TOO LOUD! Do something so you can hear table conversation.
Small, lovely place. Great date night.
Great meal, attentive staff, nice ambiance. Rebooked for a party of 8 in Aug!
We shared a mousse to start which was very soft and creamy. Very tasty and plenty for two. My partner had scallops which he enjoyed. I had trout without the almonds which was cooked perfectly and delicious. Good service. Highly recommended.
Entree of lamb was too heavy for summer and while tender was not tasty
Good leek and potato soup but also too heavy for summer
Quaint little French restaurant with lively ambiance, delicious cocktails, and great atmosphere!
The food was fabulous as were the cocktails. Had a wonderful time!
We really enjoyed La Fable. The room was warm and inviting, if a little noisy. But isn't that what a French bistro should be! The food - outstanding -Justin Giles does wonders; really, you could throw a dart at the entrees and be happy. I had Foie Gras and the Mussels; Nora the Escargot and the Lamb Shank, Looking forward to some Pate, Coq a Vin, and Cassoulet on future menus. Great work everyone!
Everything was wonderful except the flies were a problem
The food was excellent, and the service impeccable. The tables are a little close together and one customer was particularly loud, but otherwise quieter than other restaurants. We had the canard a l'orange, chicken cordon bleu, escargot, caesar salad, and cheese crepe. No room for dessert (which I'm sure is fabulous, thanks to a French pastry chef), although portions weren't huge. Edith Piaf music and French decor was lovely. Fresh flowers, candles, linen tablecloths.
Excellent, lively addition to the restaurant scene for foodies and grownups in Rehoboth Beach!
The former Mixx restaurant has been lightened (new window?) and brightened with white tablecloths, white walls, and a whimsical throwback feel to create a sophisticated dining experience just a block from the boardwalk. Our party of 4 enjoyed chicken cordon bleu, braised lamb, Caesar salad, real escargots, and a delicate vegetarian crepe. Essentially a French meal with a modern twist. Service was excellent and that they take reservations via Open Table is much appreciated.
Outstanding from beginning to end! We were greeted and seated immediately upon arrival. We both ordered s glass of wine with a generous pour. The bread was warm and oh so good. I enjoyed the escargot as my appetizer and enjoyed even more bread to soak up the garlic butter. So delicious. My meal could have end there and I would have been a happy camper. For my entree I had the steak special, prepared to perfection. Service was great throughout the evening. I ended with the chocolate mouse. So light and tasty - a perfect ending to a wonderful meal.
Everything was amazing. Food and service. Highly recommended.
Wonderful food. Wait staff courteous. Love the bread and butter.
Good, but not outstanding.
This was one of the worse meals I have had in a while. I had expected a nice French meal for my birthday. Started out picking out a wine and the choices were very meager. I ordered escargot which was very oily, very little garlic and the snails were tough and chewy. It tasted as if were fixed a long time ago and sat around. We had a Caesars salad which was bland, had no anchovies and the dressing was clearly a store bought out of a bottle dressing. I had the duck which was flavorless including the vegetables it was served with. My husband got the lamb shank which was also flavorless. An overall very disappointing dinner and it was over $200.00. I will never go again and will NOT recommend it to anyone in my very large extended family who frequent the beach because we have homes there.
Love this restaurant. The food and wine are fabulous and the staff is top notch. One of our favorite places.
Food and service were outstanding...picey but expected.... wolud dine there again when in the area. The restaurant is small and tables are too close but hopefully you have good conveerastion with your meighbors.
Very authentic French Cuisine. I had Chicken Cordon Bleu, my date had Duck l'Orange. Both were fantastic. Great Staff
