La Dolce Vita
All our food and sauces are freshly prepared and cooked by our chef, resulting in a delicious taste that we are proud to serve. It is a genuine Italian experience.
Food as always was delicious with a wide variety on both the early bird and full menu. However service was ridiculous slow, ended up skipping desert as we were waiting for ages for starters and mains
Everytime we go to Ireland, we make sure to stop at La Dolce Vita. The food there is simply outstanding. We had bruschetta, caprese salad, salmon and vegetarian pizza. Everything was absolutely delicious. It's truly a hidden gem.
A lovely evening with great food company and ambiiance
The food was very nice and the service was excellent
Food excellent, service very fair
The service was lovely, the waitresses were welcoming and attentive. Having lived in Italy for the past 7 years I found the pizza lacked authenticity, quite greasy for my personal liking. I thought it was slightly over priced. It was convenient as we were visiting the gaol beforehand but I wouldn’t go again.
Brought some Italian friends to here they loved it
I booked table for 7 people earlier in the day of Sunday 21/06/19 and arrived at 18.20pm to a good reception. Even though there were no tables available for 7 people we were accommodated immediately by staff pushing two tables together. Ambience was good, food was good, waitress was efficient and altogether was a very enjoyable evening.
Food really good and the staff couldn't be nicer feels like eating in a friend's kitchen! It would be fantastic to have a little entertainment that way they would keep the diners upstairs drinking. Highly recommend.
Haven't been for such a long time! Wonderful food and wine and great value for money - very busy the night we were there but didn't affect the service or the food. We will be back!
Food is good but service could be better felt like we were rushed out of the restaurant well before closing time at 11pm. We were sitting at our table at 10.15 when the manager started to dim down the lights and take things off the table in a frantic rush and hint to us to move on. Never any option to pay by card here only cash. We have been here on numerous occasions where the staff used the excuse of the card machine not working. So you have to go to the shop up the street to get money from the atm
Totally satisfied. Great menu choices with a family run atmosphere.
Next time in Dublin, we will return.
Tasty food, quick service and lovely staff! Would definitely go again
Lovely food and plenty of it, great value with friendly staff. Not sure if they have credit card facilities (based on previous reviews and had a sign saying card machine not available when we were there) so bring cash.
Came here as it was open late and located right across the street from the Hilton we were staying at in Dublin. While I enjoyed the pasta I got (prawn spaghetti), my boyfriend thought his pizza tasted like cardboard. However, I was still enjoying our first dining experience ever in Ireland up until it was time to pay the bill. At the counter, our server intentionally charged us more for our main courses despite having verbally confirmed our items just seconds earlier, so I know she didn’t get our items confused with someone else’s. She charged me an extra Euro for the pizza (€12,90 instead of €11,90), and then charged me for the risotto instead of the pasta which costs an additional Euro and then overcharged by an extra Euro on top of that (€17,90 instead of €15,90). I immediately noticed this because I remembered the prices off the top of my head but did not want to call her out on it in case that was the norm in Ireland. After researching back at the hotel and seeing that it wasn’t, I wrote it off as the gratuity we would have given her anyway and figured we would write a review to warn tourists to CHECK THEIR BILL, as they try to slyly upcharge.
Lovely spot with a laid back atmosphere and an extensive menu. Meal deals (2 or 3 courses) are very good value with a good variety of options. Food was delicious with large portions.
This please dose amazing food, myself an friends always meet up here for food, staff are always friendly and helpful with choices, love love love to eat here
left it too long to call back, but, it was worth the wait. will call back again.
Second visit, should visit more often.whilst our visits were in the afternoon/early evening, next time will be a night visit to take in the more extensive menu and the ambience.
Favorite restaurant of all time. We love the food, staff and atmosphere and always recommend it to a friend. Our top choice for any occasion.
Food was very tasty and portions generous. Only complaint is Staff were slow to come back to offer dessert menu as it was 10.30 on a Saturday night and they were in full clean up and clear out mode. So felt uncomfortable to order any desserts.
Really good tasting, fresh homemade food. Very friendly staff. Good atmosphere, local restaurant. Great value. I’ll definitely be back.
after having my booking confirmed with open table that day. I booked a taxi and arrived at 8pm for a birthday treat for my daughter. at reception was told I had no booking and could not have booked it that day. we left disappointed and had to wait outside in the cold for 20 mins to get a taxi back to our hotel. birthday completely ruined!!!!
Lovely place but staff are extremely slow. Two lovely waitresses attenting to all the tables. We waited 20 mins to order and had to leave without desert as the staff forgot to bring down the menu when asked. It’s a shame it’s a great little spot. Needs more staff
Nice little restaurant that you wouldn’t even know was there, very reasonable priced as well. Food is also good quality and staff are friendly enough, if not a little rushed.
We were not made aware until after the fact that credit cards are not accepted. We had to run to a gas station to get cash, kind of a letdown.
Best meal while we were visiting Ireland. Waitress was absolutely wonderful. Nice and attentive. Food was really tasty. Owner recommended the lasagna to me and was a great choice!
