What a fantastic restaurant, from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. Phenomenal food, warm and friendly service. Will definitely be back here on our next visit to Montreal.

Mon expérience au restaurant La demande générale a été très agréable. L'ambiance est détendue, le service est courtois et professionnel, nos repas étaient délicieux et les propriétaires sont des gars attentifs aux besoins et disponibles pour partager leur passion avec les clients. Je vais recommander ce restaurant et assurément y retourner.

It was freezing in Montreal and we were looking for comfort food. I had visited Rue St Denis as a college student 35 years ago and wanted to show it to my son. While Rue St Denis seems to have not weathered the 35 years so well this restaurant was a great find. My son and I had the poutine with shortrib and my husband had duck tartar. We came in the middle of the afternoon during a weekday and it was not very busy. The ambiance is very nice and the owner was very personable.

Un souper entre amis avant le spectacle au théâtre St-Denis! Excellent service courtois et professionnel! Nous avions demandé au chef de nous préparer un plat à partager avant le repas principal et nous en étions ravis. Quelle créativité! Tout était délicieux! Expérience à revivre absolument! Je le recommande haut la main!

Well prepared and presented plates. Food was tasty although Mushroom Risotto lacked a bit of seasoning. Entrée of shrimp and scallops was amazing especially with the accompaning sauces.

Dinner with my mom and sister while in town for a few days! Great vibe, fantastic service and food was great! Shared the shrimp and scallops to start and then all got a blackboard special (duck and pork) and all very tasty. Good upbeat atmosphere and fun music.

Food was ok !! Will no going back for sure ! Good thing was not to expensive !

La nourriture était excellente autant les pâtes que la viande. Le service était également sympathique. Le prix des vins est raisonnable ainsi que la table d'hôte. Nous y allions avant un spectacle au théâtre St-Denis et nous allons y retourner pour un prochain spectacle. C'était une belle découverte.

Service was disorganized, different waiters coming to our table, one taking away the wine glasses without asking if we wanted wine (which we did). It took 1hour and 20 minutes to have our food. We had 20 minutes to eat and pay, we had tickets for a show. When ready to pay, all checks were mixed up. Not a nice evening...

The server was very cold towards us when she realized we did not speak French. Disappointing since we were one of only three tables and prepared to have a great dinner on our vacation.
