We went there Sunday evening. There wasn't much customer there which is kind of nice. However the service was ok. It was nice of the waitress to inform us of all the items that are not available before we order. However, with a restaurant where you paid a high end prices, you think they would have all the offerings, but they were out about 5 items. The excuse was, they had a busy Saturday! What, you don't have time to restock a day later?! They ask if we want bread, we said yes, but the bread came as 4 small pieces.. no olive oil, no butter, nothing until we ask for it 15 mins later. The cocktails were nice, but a bit on the sweet side. The chicken Fraiche was good, but the chicken parm was horrible. We never had a chicken parm with bone in and seems a little undercook. It looks like they took a piece of fried chicken and added the sauce and cheese on it and put in oven.
Good food, beautiful restaurant, and great service. Really enjoyed the patio on a beautiful summer night, and super happy they allow reservations for outside!
Way too expensive for average Italian food
A little pricey but is in the hotel at Assembly row. Awesome atmosphere, delicious food and great service.
Love love this place. Am so glad they added couches on the patio. We sat there on Friday but it ended up raining and we had to go inside but it was amazing ! This is our regular Friday date night spot, the food is amazing and so far the staff has been really good! Always looking forward to dining there.
Nice Italian place in Assembly. Modern design and decor, nice open bar layout on the first floor with a quieter intimate dining area upstairs overlooking the restaurant.
The food portions were spot on and were delicious. The wine list was extensive. A bit pricey, but a nice place for a date.
If you're looking for a nice place to dine with good food and generous portions, this is the place. Their menu offers a varied selection to choose from.
Wat way too loud even outside. Food was .excellent and our server was very good and gracious but impossible to hear the conversation
They seemed like they were ready to close. The tables were cleared off with no place settings or anything on the tables. They brought us stale bread which was left over because they were out of the normal bread they serve. There were items on the menu that were unavailable. I really liked this restaurant the first time I came here but I was very disappointed with this visit.
On the plus side, our server was very nice. I really wanted to make this one of my favorite go to restaurants but I’m not sure if I’ll be back.
The very first time I came here I did not like the food at all it was under seasoned and way overpriced. I decided to give this restaurant another shot and was even more disappointed than the first time. Our waiter took quite a while to greet us and offered us all types of different waters and I just wanted regular tap water he came out with a bottle of water which I thought was free but it wasn't it ended up costing us $8!! For water. I asked for lemon Risotto and got boiled white rice with lemon squeezed on top it was horrible! Tee also got hard old bread! I will not be returning to this place!
Wait staff was wonderful and friendly but the timing was awful. We ordered a martini, it came out 30 min later and was warm. Everything seemed to take an extremely long time for a restaurant that wasn’t overly busy.
Interesting night. Got yelled at by the manager because the hostess tried to sit us in wrong table, and btw, a completely empty restaurant.
The waitress was difficult to understand. Substations May or may not be honored.
At the end of the night, bill was brought over with no pen to sign the bill.
Food was good. Service needs some attention.
Food was absolutely horrible.
I wanted to like this place - the decor was lovely and I love Italian food -but it was a really unsatisfying experience. I sat at the bar to wait for my companions. They were out of the first wine I asked for, which was the only Pinot Grigio on the menu (odd for an Italian restaurant) and they told me they "never stocked" the second wine I requested. The bartender let me try some other wines but definitely tried to up sell me.
When we moved to a table, the service was friendly but the waitress couldn't pronounce most of the dishes. The food was really inadequate for the price. The arancini fell apart when we cut into it, and the pizza I had was watery and soggy. My companions had the fish (oversalted to the point of not being edible) and the risotto (which my friend liked). We ordered a bottle of the wine I had settled on at the bar but when we tried to order a second bottle of it? You guessed it, they were out of it. Throughout our meal, the music was too loud and they had ongoing problems with static on the speakers.
Hoping they will get their A-game together soon because it's a great spot.
a friends night out
So so good! Would recommend to a friend. Best salad and sangria
La Cucina is a nice restaurant where you can enjoy your meal in an relaxed setting. The service is truly awesome and top-notch. The food is tasty and wonderful. This is my second visit and hoping to make a third in the near future with more friends.
Thanks La Cucina Fam!
Amazing time in the lovely assembly row, the limoncello spritz did the job, the bread, oyster choices and Milanese were amazing and done well, this place was beautiful had charm and class. Job done!
Food was very good with generous portions . Great presentation. Very attentive and friendly staff.
It was pretty good
Two thumbs up for the food and the service. We'll definitely return.
This my second time coming into this restaurant and had the best experience and best chicken parm I ever had.
Food was amazing (once we sent back a dish because it was cold), but we found the service to be spotty. There were several servers but we kept having a hard time finding ours or someone to help us or even check in on us. Will try again though because the food was delicious.
I absolutely loved it there and especially our server, Ashton. He was super helpful and friendly!
We sat upstairs, which is quieter and has great views of the rest of the restaurant. The salmon steak was impressive in its portion size and flavor! The chicken Parmesan (my go to where ever I try out a new Italian place) was Boston North End quality. I’d recommend this restaurant.
The swordfish was delicious!
The staff were excellent!
Beautifully designed space, friendly & competent staff and well-prepared, delectable dishes and beverage menu. My friends and I enjoyed our visit. Thank you!
The staff was super friendly. Food was timely and delicious!
Service was excellent. Everyone enjoyed their meals would highly recommend and plan on going back soon
I was really disappointed with the quality of the food. I had a Polo Parmegano ( Chicken Parm ) that was as bland as anything i have ever eaten. My wife had a bolognese that was just poor. The service was not great , orders taken for water as soon as we sat down, one still one sparkling, still arrived no sparkling did however staff kept coming by to ask if we were ready to order. Did not enjoy the food, staff were too pushy and there were too many staff engaging us.
I would not recommend, in fact i would encourage friends to avoid.
The food, service, and ambiance are all excellent. Some dishes can get a little pricey, but they certainly taste amazing. Would strongly recommend to anyone who wants to spend a nice evening eating Italian at Assembly.
First time at La Cucina and we loved it. We love Friday date night and we usually go to the same place because it’s convenient but we decided to try something new and we were not disappointed . Added on our list of favorite restaurants in the neighborhood. The place looks beautiful, we sat upstairs and had a lovely view of the main dining area, so much space you can sit anywhere. Will be back
Good food great time
This was our first time eating here. We took our Mom for Mather’s Day. The food was fantastic! Our server, Ashton was very attentive. Every person in the restaurant from GM to hostess was friendly and helpful. Diane paid extra special attention to us because my husband has a gluten allergy. The only thing they need is gluten free pasta. Loved it! Can’t wait to go back.
My family was there for Mother’s Day brunch. The manager was extremely accommodating when one member of our party did not get his meal. For this reason I will return. Once we all had food, we were very pleased; each choice was delicious. Thank you for recognizing the mistake and for your graciousness.
Honestly amazing all around. Great service food was incredible and staff was knowledgeable and gave great recommendations. Absolutely loved it would definitely come here again
Our server Alicia was amazing. Food was terrific and ambiance was nice
Amazing food and service!
Everyone was incredibly friendly and all of the staff, including the management, went out of their way to make our party comfortable and welcome. Not only that, but the most important part: the food was great. I will make it a point to come back in the future.
Great food great service great atmosphere
