As always, we were not disappointed dining at La Côte d’Or. We decided to choose from the “ new classic”menu and were most satisfied with this decision. The potage appetizers were tasty, and the fish dishes and cassoulet were noteworthy. A bottle of Burgundy and mousse and éclairs rounded out the meal. We are looking forward to our next visit!

Excellent French food, simply prepared, is the byword at this lovely restaurant. Try the celery root "coleslaw" or the perfect crepes or the Boston lettuce salad with just a hint of dressing. All of their salads and classic French menu items are the best versions. Just wonderful food. And relatively inexpensive. Unusual menu items as well as the classic standards. How many times do you see floating island on a dessert menu? This is a wonderful restaurant, with expert waiters and consistently good specials. A gem.

We were given a gift certificate for Christmas and decided to use it for a Valentine’s Day dinner. The food was very good, although it was a little slow coming out. The chef latter came out and explained that everyone came in at once. We really did not mind the delay. It just extended a wonderful evening.

My husband and I came here to celebrate his birthday. The server was attentive, friendly, and gave good suggestions when we asked him about what pre-dinner cocktails he recommended. The ambiance was lovely. The food was perfectly cooked, and the portions were generous. I cannot say enough good things about this place. We had a wonderful time.

A family birthday dinner was rewarded by excellent food and professional service during restaurant week. We had heard favorable reviews from friends, and they were justified. Our party of 5 sampled a wide range of the menu and everyone was pleased. I wish that I could make a sauce like their beef bourguignon.

Food and service were excellent - given it was Restaurant Week, the value was even better. Crepes were delicious and the French bread absolutely outstanding. Easy to get to right off of I66.

Worst service ever, our reservation was at 8:30 we got our table on time but our appetizer came at 9:30. We asked to change the table they did not answer and they table we wanted nobody seat there all night. The food was ok. We had to ask for refill 10 times. Worst restaurant ever.

Went on Friday of Restaurant Week, so it was very busy. Took longer than usual for everything, and our server commented several times about how busy he was. They could’ve used another server on the floor. We weren’t in a hurry, so decided to make the best of it, although almost an hour before being served the appetizer course is served is a little ridiculous. Food was good, though perhaps a notch off their usual. The onions in my onion soup were not caramelized, and the broth tasted more like chicken stock than a hearty beef stock. My husband enjoyed the escargot, as well as his main course of butterflied rainbow trout. I had the seafood crepes-loaded with shrimp, scallops and mussels and a tasty sauce. The crepes were a little over browned and thicker than what I’d expect. We both enjoyed the dark chocolate mousse.

I would like to give special mention of the manager who went above and beyond for us, first recommending a nice bottle of wine, and then sorting out the Open Table award certificate we had been issued. It wasn’t possible for him to scan the QR code, and I hadn’t printed it out. He ended up taking my phone and either printed it or somehow entered enough info to apply the $50 to our bill. On a busy night, it would’ve been much easier not to deal with that, and it would be nice for Open Table to make the process of using awards easier both for the patron and the business. Be forewarned: you have to make a special reservation to cash in your award. You can’t just show up at a participating restaurant and expect the award to be honored.
