The ambiance and quite nature of La Cote D'or keeps it at the top of our date night list. Food is always good. Tons of choices. A 3-course menu that makes it a good value also.
It's a great experience that is very affordable prefix and had a trout was extremely fresh and tasty and fresh vegetables and a good apple tart I expect to be coming back soon
Good menu, adequate social distancing. Good service. Excellent food preparation -schnitzel and trout dinners.
Excellent French food. Smooth, friendly service. Nice visit from the chef. Good social distancing. The couscous was superb.
The French cuisine was authentic and had great flavor. Some of the cuts of meat could have been of higher quality but for the price point was a good value. The service was outstanding. Great experience, we will likely come again to try more of the menu.
Nice setting, very good service, excellent food, and a great dessert.
Menu was truly authentic French. I was impressed that 'Il flottante' was available; and it was just as I remember the dessert as made in France. My guests who ordered the Steak bavette with peppercorn sauce agreed it was one of the best beef dishes they have tasted. We are looking forward to future visits.
Always a dependable neighborhood restaurant for a very good dinner or lunch. You won't be disappointed!
The place was quiet, the staff was very attentive, and the food was amazing. Great experience overall
Great food and service!
Although we miss the previous look; we are so pleased that they are safely open and are providing excellent food and service again. We love that we can walk to one of our favorite restaurants and feel welcome.
It has the potential to be an awesome spot, but it needs major improvements in their design, ambience, and menu.
It was as always a great pleasure dining at La Cote d’Or! Fabulous food and good service.
They are doing an excellent job with separations in the Dining area during the pandemic, although some flowers on the tables would improve the ambiance
The fish soup was too salty for my taste and the bavette, ordered medium rare was well done.
I have been here many times before covid and enjoyed it very much.
Perhaps there was a different person in the kitchen.
On my wife’s birthday, for our first meal in a restaurant since the pandemic began in March, we returned to La Côte d’Or French restaurant in Falls Church. The food and service was even better than we had remembered from several visits before, and the staff was careful to ensure sanitary socially-distanced dining conditions. We ordered off the $45 three-course prix fixé menu, and every course was outstanding.
Very friendly and welcoming staff. Relaxing brunch.
Traditional French. Very pleasant! Great for dates!
Music ambience is soothing and low.
Food was delicious and the staff very helpful and attentive. Main course did not wait for us to finish our starter. There was a nice little wait so you could enjoy your drink and chat a little.
Excellent food, great value and good service. Able to sit on the porch with windows open as well as plexiglass dividers between the tables. Felt safe and enjoyed the evening.
We have followed Chef from Great Falls to Falls Church. His meals are delicious and always has something new I want to try. He has set his menu so you can enjoy what he has to offer either "A la Carte" or in combined prix fix meals that are very affordable. So whether you just want to enjoy a bite or a full meal it is wonderful. I would definitely recommend to all my friends.
My husband and I wanted to enjoy an evening out together. We have also enjoyed La Cote D’Or. The menu was great, service excellent and environment safe and comfortable during the pandemic.
Good solid French mainly traditional food. They do a really good job. Plastic dividers between tables which is nice
Good food at a reasonable price - service was excellent.
The food was amazing and the portions generous ( not like in a France) ;)
However I missed the white tablecloths which was understandable due to the COVID
Had really good food and an amazing service today. I went to the restaurant during Restaurant week so the value of my meal was amazing though I think even during normal times it is worth a try.
Wonderful intimate setting. Looking forward to my next visit.
We went for brunch during restaurant week. The food was delicious and the portion sizes were very good. The cappuccino that I had was very tasty with a cinnamon garnish. The floating island dessert I had was very tasty but not quite like a traditional gloating island dessert.
Went for our anniversary. The food was delicious!
Went for restaurant week and it was a fabulous lunch that brought back memories of France. Delicious and interesting.
Wonderful food! Server was amazing. Will be back for the seafood crepe again.
First time I have been there in a long time. The menu is a mix of traditional bistro food and atypical items. Very attentive service. The remodel of the restaurant to help with social distancing has been well done.
We went for Restaurant Week but looks like they have prix fixed dinners on the regular menu. It was a small dining area so difficult to have a private conversation.
Excellent selections from prix fixe menu. Service was timely and friendly. Food was presented in an attractive manner and tasted marvelous.
We have been dining here for years and love it. They closed to renovate due to COVID and recently reopened with plexiglass between the spaced out tables, new ventilation, masks and gloves on servers, but still great food. We miss the tablecloths and more elegant ambiance, but we will be going back for Restaurant Week this week.
They have made this place so safe with the virus....no table cloths....all wear gloves and masks.....
I will make this one of my safest places
The food was OK, but did not have an authentic feel. The environment would have received higher marks but there was an extremely loud woman with very offensive views that the staff did not manage. She ruined everyone’s experience in the restaurant that evening.
During this scary pandemic it was great To go to our favorite neighborhood restaurant for dinner. They are limiting the number of people eating in so they can keep safe distances between tables. Plus, they are offering their full menu for carry out. The Weds night “mussel night@ was as good as ever! Support this fab restaurant however you can!
Nine family members met for Sunday brunch to celebrate a birthday; all were pleased. The menu offers both multiple lunch and breakfast items; everything was very good: mimosas, bloody Marys, rainbow trout, omelette, eggs Benedict, mussels, deviled eggs, Caesar salad with anchovy dressing (!), et al. With current conditions, we were seated well separated from other tables but service was excellent. La Cote D'Or has been here for several years and this most recent visit explains it well-deserved life!
We previously dined at the Cote d'Or, and were not disappointed during this return visit. They even threw in a free birthday dessert.
Perfect place to celebrate my birthday.
