    First time here. Every dish we ordered was excellent (burrata, meatballs, cacio de Pepe, waygu lasagna). That lasagna is a must get every time, it literally melts in your mouth. Cocktails and staff were great too. Best of all, this place really is a good deal for what they offer. Especially for that level of service & fare in DC. Highly recommend!

    A delightful neighborhood restaurant in a lovely area quite close to the Capitol building. The service was outstanding, the hors d’oeuvres were creative and tasty, the lamb bolognese was the best I’ve had in a long time and the tiramisu was delicious. La Collina, and its other two companions, the Duck and the Peach and the Wells, make for a high-end, sophisticated trio in our nation’s capital. A triumph by Hollis Wells Silverman and her able staff. Tom I.

    We live down the street and generally like La Collina, but there are a lot of things that could be improved. The ambiance and food are very good, but the service is sub-par. The server was obviously overwhelmed, you guys only had one server for the main dining room which just isn’t sufficient. It took over 15 minutes for our garlic bread to arrive (which should be very quick to make, you just broil it). While still waiting on out appetizer, our server asked us twice for our entree orders, when we hadn’t yet received our appetizer. The drinks were very slow. I know you guys share a bar w/ the Duck & Peach but this is something you really need to improve. It’s a problem each time we go here. Other than the service, the food was great. We really like La Collina and the rest of the restaurants in the building. We LOVE the Wells, wonderful drinks and service every time. I really want to see you guys succeed but you really need to work on the service. One ask on the beer, please drop the whole “caraf” “half-caraf” thing it makes zero sense. Just offer a pint. Every time we bring friends they are confused!

    My friends and I had a lovely evening at La Collins. Our server was excellent. The atmosphere was fun. The food was yummy. We shared the Pork Milanese, Pasta Diavolo, Lamb Bolognese, and the Meatballs. Delicious! Will go back.

    Restaurant seemed short staffed. The Maitre d’ was outside arranging tables and saw us walk in. She seemed to take her time to finally come in and seat us. We had a reservation but almost left. The waitstaff were pleasant except they seemed to be stretched thin and were absent for an extended period of time. Service was just ok. We had to ask for and wait for silverware to eat our entrees and ask for the the check when we were done. It made me wonder if the automatic 20% tip is the cause. Also, the chicken parmigiana appetizer was way over cooked making it very difficult to cut or take bites of the appetizer.

    Excellent experience. The service was great, friendly staff ensured that we were well taken care of. Dinner was delicious, with all of their great pasta options there's nothing bad on the menu.
