Highly recommend!! Everything was spectacular..
We enjoyed some great fish dinners tonight with great service!
First time we went and it was amazing ... food, service, atmosphere. We will be back soon!
Amazing food and service. Best restaurant in Rochester in my opinion.
1. We thought the food was excellent, from our calamari to the butterflied filet and zip sauce, to my sea bass. Although I did need to spice up the sea bass with salt and pepper. Point is, chef quality and presentation was excellent
2. The restaurant was too cramped and loud. It was clear they were trying to pack more people into the space than was appropriate as tables were placed in locations that would make someone uneasy, as if they were sitting with another party. In some cases, the tables were spaced maybe 18" apart. There was also little room for the servers to operate in the central aisle. We were uncomfortable the entire time.
3. None of the staff had masks on. Regardless of vaccine status or state of covid in Michigan, staff should wear masks as a professional courtesy. Given how cramped the space was, i would consider the restaurant a high risk location for anyone who is worried about catching the virus
4. I paid $5.50 for an iced tea and was not offered any refills the entire time I was seated. First off, $5.50 for an iced tea is absurd at any restaurant, in any state. And to never get asked if I wanted a refill further compounded things.
5. Because of the very high ceilings and the hardwood style floors, it was loud...Very loud. Had to yell at my wife across the table just to have a conversation. Not very romantic. It didn't help that I had two loud patrons in stereo on both sides of me and that they were seated so close.
Unless we are seated outside in the future, and with more space between us, Covid or not, we won't be back. We both loved the chef's quality of food, presentation, and portions, but the other aspects of the restaurant just could not be overlooked.
We are glad you enjoyed your food, and hope you return to experience it again very soon. New Year's Eve is one of the busiest days of the year and asking for a quiet table is a stretch to say the least. Also, you were presented with a couple of options as to where you could sit and you chose to be seated where you were seated. With regards to the Iced Tea, we purposely served them in Pint Glasses so that refills were not necessary, but if you asked the server would have been glad to refill.
It’s a fantastic restaurant coupled with fantastic food and service !
Outstanding food, atmosphere and service!
We went to La Colin’s on Christmas Eve. It was an absolutely wonderful experience! The staff was top notch and over the top nice. The food and presentation was excellent. We will definitely be back. Highly recommend.
The dinner was scrumptious, the atmosphere cozy and festive and our server was charming. Everything was delicious but our favorite dish was the appetizer from the specials menu. I wish I could remember what it was called - it was steak tips prepared in a heavenly red sauce served with toasted bread. This could me a main dish - we would order it every time!
Great loved it soo good fun
Wonderful experience all around. The food is incredible.
We are definitely coming back again. Our first experience was beyond our expectations!!! The food and spirits were excellent!! The food was served promptly and at the correct temperatures!!! We give our experience an A+!!
Worst place ever!!! It was my boyfriends bday so we went to dinner. We got there at 8:15 and had booked this places three weeks before. The host didn’t say hi and told Us it will be a few mins. 35-45 mins later they still couldn’t sit us!!! We left Bc of the wait. They shouldn’t overbook if they make people wait that long for a table. Wouldn’t go there everp
Great service great food
Always amazing at La Collina. Best Italian in town. Service and food was great.
I love this place! Every time I eat here I like it more and more! The flavors are outstanding! Very friendly and welcoming as well.
We had a fabulous dinner at La Collina. Don was so attentive, he made our Caesar salad table side just how we like it: no egg and extra anchovies. Warm fresh Italian bread with eggplant tamponade and herb butter accompanied. For main course, I had the veal in white wine sauce with porcini mushrooms. Absolutely the most tender, flavorful veal dish I’ve had in a very long time. My husband had the lamb ragout with pasta. All washed down with a wonderful Cab. But Wait!, must save room for the excellent Tiramisu, which is fresh, light and just the right amount of espresso. Not to be missed. The ambiance is charming, warm and comfortable. We highly recommend this authentic Italian restaurant. They deserve your biz! And We’ll be back!
One of favorite spots to dine. We love the service, the food is always fantastic and the overall atmosphere is lovely. Great place for a special occasion or a date night.
Service was lovely. Everyone was very warm. Food was elevated and interesting. Not your typical Italian. Definitely the best Italian in the area I’ve experienced.
Simply great food and amazing service from Nik.
Good and service excellent
Service impeccable and the halibut was so delicious. Great ambience good music love this place it’s so quaint and the food is always always outstanding
Greeted and made to feel welcome by Blendi. Our family was celebrating a special occasion, we enjoyed an excellent bottle of wine and an amazing dinner and the best part, we were never rushed. Thank you for a wonderful dinner experience!
17th bday celebration for our daughter. Food was wonderful as was the wait staff and ambiance
The food was amazing. The place has great atmosphere. The service was great. I took one star off for service though because the food took a very long time. A bit too long. There was a large party in the restaurant so that may have been the reason it took so long for our food to be brought to the table. We weren’t in a hurry so it was fine, but I recommend you plan on spending a bit of time there if you are having dinner. It certainly is a very pleasant place to spend some time. Most of the prices were fair but some seemed a bit excessive like $7.00 for a 28 oz. bottle of sparkling water and about the same price for a cappuccino. Maybe that’s normal but it took me by surprise which is why I took off one star for value. But all things considered I would go back. Did I mention the food was amazing?
My husband is a steak snob, so when he ordered the Waygu Tomahawk, he had a very high hopes. His expectations were absolutely exceeded as this was the BEST steak he said he has ever had. Coming from somebody who is very hard to please when it comes to steaks they really KNOCKED it out of the park with this one!! Despite some delays being seated after our reservation time, the waiter and food quality definitely more than made up for it!!
Food was outstanding. Wait staff was pleasant but definitely busy. It is a bit loud by the bar area due to a musician. The worst part was the hostess who was neither pleasant nor helpful. She struggled to give any information as to when the table would be ready. We were seated 30 minutes yes past reservation time which was frustrating due to her poor communication.
The waiter was the greatest!!
The hostess was tremendous
Thanks to both.
Everything was perfect from service to meal
We absolutely love this place. Amazing service and food. Outstanding as always.
We love the food at Collina and always love coming when Pino is playing.
The main reason I came here was to try the Costoletta di Vitello alla Milanese. It was worth the trip! Brought back memories of a dinner I had in Florence years ago.
Service was very efficient and professional. Waiter was knowledgable and provided excellent wine recommendations.
There is tasteful live music, appropriate for the atmosphere of the place. The singer had a beautiful voice. However, the noise of various conversations, particularly coming from the bar area, was high, which made it difficult to enjoy the music.
Also, a place like this should not have a TV over the bar. It's a fine restaurant, not a sports bar.
The food is always great in a very nice atmosphere. We have been here several times and will be back again! Would highly recommend.
Birthday…….a complimentary dessert or at least an acknowledgement would have been nice. Both thr veal scallopine and bronzing were very good. The fish was filleted at the table. Don was a very pleasant server and did not neglect us even though there were large tables.
I wasnt sure what to expect from a restaurant in a plaza. But the food was so good. Very fresh and also a great variety for all of us.
Best kept secret in Rochester!! La Collina is all around exceptional. The service, food, drink, and ambiance are all outstanding.
The food is fabulous and consistent. We have never had a bad experience here. Staff is courteous and friendly. This is definitely a restaurant worth coming to!
Awesome food as always and exceptional service!
Everything was excellent. Food was fresh and tasty!
