    Food was terrible. Way too much cumin in the red sauce made the food inedible. This was their time trying and just not impressed. Should be options for non meat eaters with the soup option. Soup comes with meals but both have meat in them. They would not sub a salad. Won’t be back.

    The front door is a death trap, beware when opening you’ll see. Reservation online did not have options for booth or table. We got a table for 2, we had to take table condiments off and put on the floor the tables are so small and right against the wall. Waiter Drew was good. The entree’s were bland as was the salsa and the soup, and extremely pricey. Our bill came to $117 before tip, and we didn’t even eat our entrees. I had the carne asada flank and my wife had the carne taco with chicken flautas and the beef enchilada which is their menu combo suggestion. Flank was all fat. I am not a fan of writing this sort of review, nor is my wife, but this was so bad we were compelled too , ,maybe help the establishment to wake up, but also from a consumers point of view and we are seasoned with Mexican cuisine. Sorry, but honestly, this, as harsh as it may read, it’s honest and believe us, we held back. We came here because of the reviews and are dumb founded really. You would have a better tasting meal for way less and larger better tasting margaritas at The Inferno just saying and that’s a chain but much much better. J & K

    Food is good, ambiance is average, service was average, expensive dining for the lack of ambiance.

    I have had the Wagyu fajitas before which I really enjoyed. Last night the Wagyu fajitas were marginal at best. The beef portion size was smaller than previous. The amount of fat on the beef made it a forgettable meal.

    This is becoming our go-to fajita spot! Great choices on the proteins with combos available. It comes out really sizzling and with more peppers than onions, something most places don’t do. The Watermelon Fresca margarita shouldn’t be missed. Light and refreshing for a hot summer night.

    Awesome food and service! Love the Ensalada Fresca with grilled chicken , Enchiladas and Fajitas. Very attentive service!

    Most Mexican restaurant I go to put tons of cheese on everything, not La Codina. The food was awesome I had the shrimp fajitas and I had 8 shrimp plus it came with soup. I will definitely go back, it is a hidden gem for regular Mexican fare.
