Went to celebrate Mother’s Day. Overall good food. Cute and quaint location. Not sure I would call this 100% Mexican authentic … the drinks were kind of overpriced, said they make their margaritas with casamigos, except they didn’t have any at the bar … lastly, I ordered the tequila chicken, which came with cilantro rice, mine didn’t. When I stop a waiter to confirm why my dish didn’t come with the rice, he raised his voice very loud, to unapologetically apologize and say they ran out - I found that very unnecessary, to raise his voice and draw attention to my table. When professionally and as a courtesy to me, they should have told me the cilantro rice finished and given me an option to change or substitute.
I really dislike being served differently when I have options on where to spend my money.
I don’t think I would ever come here again or recommend. The way you treat your guests matters!
Service was slow. Food was expensive and not good.
Was a party of 6 not all orders came out we ended up with 4 out of 6 dinners. Owner argued with us. Would love to suu Yi port a small town local restaurant but not his one
Reservation was not honored.
Amazing food! Great experience will be back
Did not honor my reservation.
Reservation for cinco de Mayo was not honored, saying they weren’t taking reservations for that night...but I had confirmation. Restaurant did not cancel either. Poor handling of this situation.
They would not honor the reservation , they claimed they where not taking reservations today , however they did not post that on there website.
This was a great surprise in Irvington...small, beautifully decorated, pleasant atmosphere...but it’s all about the food right? Delish....the calamari was so great...not that chewy rubber kind...very tender and beautifully fried....I had the skirt steak..cooked to perfection with flavorful rice and I had a side of sautéed spinach...the hubby had a chicken enchilada and said it was great. Didn’t have room for dessert but did have room for strawberry margaritas which were fab. We will be back!!!
Overall we had a very nice experience. The food was outstanding, very tasty and a good amount. The only issue was the time it took to get our dinner, almost an hour. Other tables who came after us were already eating when our food came. As a point, we believe the waitress was new and still getting her feet wet.
We went on their downtime which allowed the server to be very accommodating. The dishes were delicious from the starter, quesadilla and the main dishes. I had the Carne Asada Skirt Steak medium rare, and my guest had the Chile Relleno, both dishes were made to perfection. Desserts, we had Tres Leches and a dessert made with sweet plantains. Enjoyed the dishes very much and the service.
Overall the experience was very good and we have every intention of returning. The ambiance was fun and artsy and the quality of the food was truly incredible. We’ve been to several Mexican restaurants but flavors and freshness was excellent. Our only concern was the service was a bit uneven. In the beginning our waiter was attentive and charming but there was a serious delay in actually being served our appetizers and drinks. Pace after that was much better. We feel there may have been a mixup in orders causing delay but were never informed. Regardless the food was so good at least it was worth the wait! As I said we will return and service will I’m sure be more on point. Worth another try just to try that Chili Relleno again!
Excellent food. A nice modern take on authentic Mexican. Calamari was fantastic and one of the best skirt steaks I've had in a long time. Drinks were great as well. It was our first time and will definitely be back.
Food was delicious! It is uncommon to find Mexican cuisine that is upscale and creative while still being authentic and traditional. This place accomplishes that. Guacamole is top notch and the duck mole was outstanding. Drinks were also great- passion fruit marg was perfectly balanced and delish.
Pleasant Mexican food enjoyed it very much with my wife
Great experience! The servers helped me with my special request and I couldn’t be more thankful. Will be sure to go back next time I’m in the area 😁
Food is quite good. Social distancing more than adequate as both outdoor and indoor dining.
Safe environment to enjoy a leisurely dinner
Birthday weekend. Amazing food. Drinks were disappointing but a great experience overall.
15 yr Old Birthday Kids we’re treated well .. Food was good according to them...
