The food and drinks were literally perfection. Margaritas were the best I’ve had. The server was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Overall best experience I’ve had at a restaurant in a while.
we were sitting in the back left corner, there was a strong sewage smell. would definitely come back, but it would be great if you could sort that out.
The food, service and ambiance is great
Shalamar was wonderful. Best service we’ve had in LA in a very long time. Food was amazing. Thank you!
This place never disappoints . Great food , great drinks , great atmosphere
I had submitted that our dinner was for a birthday and neither the host nor the server asked or did anything specific for it. :(
Beautiful space with delicious food and drinks. Service is very slow though, took 20 minutes just to have our drink orders taken.
La Cha Cha Cha was excellent! Although the rooftop setting was only on the 2nd floor, it still seemed like we were "above it all!" The service was excellent, our waters were refilled constantly, empty dishes removed, attentive and very welcoming! The bartenders were great, too! They were able to make a rare drink we ordered, Naked and Famous, with yellow Chartreuse - which is hard to find in restaurants! The food was phenomenal and our experience was flawless! Convenient parking right across the street, too. It was a little pricey, but the staff was professional and on their toes! These days, you never know what you're going to get when you eat out, so this was a wonderful experience!
The service, food and drinks were always fabulous!
I've been wanting to go here for months and finally remembered to make a reservation. Certainly worth the wait! The cocktails and drinks in general are all incredible, and the food is equally as good. We shared a few of their starting plates and then the steak. We finished off with the flan which is not usually something I'd go, for but I'd come back to La Cha Cha Cha again to just order it again. Ambience is great - we were sat at a table we weren't totally into at first, and they happily moved us. Really incredible staff and service.
So fun! Our waiter so wonderful and helped us order some fabulous food. Loved the food, loved the cocktails
Steak was good but had too many fatty pieces so I basically couldn’t eat half the steak
Would definitely recommend this restaurant. Service, food and drinks were great!
I took my friend to celebrate her birthday. She really enjoyed the food, the ambience, the music, and the service. She said it was the best food she s had in LA in a while.
Liked didn’t love! The carnitas are awesome and the staff is wonderful.
Overall Cha Cha didn't really stand-up to "one of the best restaurants in LA..." for me. Food was okay - some of it was really good, like tostadas and tacos, some a miss like beet ceviche, which was experimental at best. However, it was really the grumpy and slow service, along with snooty staff attitude that made this place undesirable for a repeat visit for me.
Our group had to ask to have our order taken after waiting for our server to come back for about 45 minutes. We waited about 25 minutes for drinks after ordering those too. Food came out quickly after ordering, and the busboys were great.
first timers there for a graduation celebration and it was perfection! the food was on point- variety, portions were more than fair, timely! our server was amazing and the outdoor ambiance was cozy and fun! we will definitely be back!!!!!
One of the best designed layouts for a rooftop restaurant that I’ve had the pleasure of visiting. Comfortable and inviting with plants, string lights and wood tones along with tabletops just far enough apart from each other to keep things cozy. My only negative feedback is that the servers who bussed the tables hovered too much and too closely — making me very conscious of the 2 hour time limit we had on our 4 top table. I hope these time limits will go away once Covid concerns go away.

Overall, awesome restaurant, food, and staff.
Amazing food, great drinks in a very cool, mid-century modern inspired decor with tons of plants and incredible landscaping
Lovely ambiance with the patio seating, heat lamps, string lights, bars, and foliage. Nice views of downtown LA visible from some parts of the patio. Food and cocktails were delicious, if a little pricey. We got some guacamole, tacos, and an amazing carrot flan for dessert.
Wonderful dining experience! We will be back.
Staff was amazing
Location on point ! Nice hidden gem in LA.
Went for the NYE party. Seems like they were overbooked - bartenders were having a hard time keeping up with amount of people and drink orders and it took us 45 minutes to even get a drink. We arrived at 11pm, waited in line to enter at around 11:15pm, and got our drinks exactly 3 seconds before midnight hit. Bar snacks were advertised but we only encountered one tray passed and didn’t get the champagne toast until after midnight and we had to ask for it. I don’t recall seeing or hearing a DJ either. Overall, it seems like they just weren’t prepared for the event or the amount of people at the event and I don’t feel like it was worth what we paid at all.
I purchase two tickets for La Cha Cha Cha New Years Barra “EXPERIENCE” as they called it for $60 each, it included a Champaign toast. The “EXPERIENCE” was set to start at 11pm, we got there at 11:02 and waited till 11:25 before we were able to get in, with tickets bought ( Reservations ) for this “EXPERIENCE” it seem ( Perception ) understaff specially at the BARS. We decided to stay at the outside Bar due to the interior Bar already been over crowded and not enough Bar tenders. Our Bar tender Wolf was the best, never seen the most incredible display of calmness, he was icing drinks for all waiters coming his way and trying to accommodate everyone surrounding the “ENTIRE BAR”! There was a nice Hispanic gentlemen also trying to accommodate waiters and guest wanting to get a drink. There was another guy with a beard and suspenders that obviously didn’t belong there since he was just making remarks and all over the place. Body language display from him a COMPLETE chaos and “FRUSTRATION” is wasn’t till 11:49 till we FINALLY got our drinks ( Not Wolfs fault ) count down start it, New Year came and we NEVER GOT our Champaign to toast. No organization, staff didn’t know who was there dining or paid for this New Year “EXPERIENCE” since there was no protocol, wristbands or anything to tell apart. BTW when we finally got the front of the line to get in nice girl told us to wait, then what I believe a MANAGER came without acknowledging anyone there in front of her ( Maybe overwhelm ) not trying to make excuses for her but come on a simple hi or hello goes along way.
Wow! Stunning ambience. Incredible kind staff. Food is unmatched!
We were incredibly excited to try out Mexico City’s sister restaurant, so we booked a “New Years Eve Experience”. The price of the set menu was a non-refundable $170 per person. This was no issue, as we assumed it would be a well planned out night with a set menu. Our reservation was at 9:45pm. We were seated close to 11pm. We had asked if we could go to the bar, but unfortunately they were short staffed and only had one bartender on the floor all night, so the bar area was closed. We eventually got seated and didn’t hear from our waiter for around another 15 minutes. You could tell our waiter was incredibly overwhelmed, but tried to keep his composure. At one point throughout the night our waiter stopped in the middle of the floor, placed his hands on his forehead and stood there looking around for a few minutes. I was very worried he was going to pass out at any moment. We were told there would be a dj, but saw no signs of a dj all night. Due to the lack of staff, our set menu of drinks became a “whatever the bartender can make” type of menu. We were told the bartender doesn’t have time to make our craft cocktails and proceeded to be filled up with champagne instead. Clearly, they had severely overbooked and didn’t plan staffing accordingly. I would’ve rated this experience much worse if it wasn’t for the delicious food. The food was in fact exquisite.
I had very high hopes for this opening, but was quite disappointed with our night. I do truly hope management works on staffing and planning better for their customers, as there is much potential with this location.
New Year’s Eve
It was amazing from beginning to end. We went for the New Years fixed price menu and were blown away by everything! From the drinks to the food, it was all great. The only possible downside was the service was a bit slow because the turn out for their event appeared to be wayyy higher than they originally expected. Poor staff was scrambling like mad, but they did great
Review Specific to NYE. It was just a disaster… top to bottom.
So I haven’t really had the chance to pudor this review until now. I do not under recommend spending your New Year’s Eve here unless you just don’t have any other options. I was so excited to visit here for the 2nd time because it’s a beautiful restaurant., and I had a great first experience. My waitress on Dec. 31st, Jackie (wrote her name down), was AWFUL! My friend and I sat for an entire hour and watched her serve everyone and I me EVERYONE else around us before we could even get a drink. She wouldn’t check on us when making rounds. She didn’t even look our way after stopping at every table around us. The couple beside us started making conversation and told us that their service was actually moving quickly. It got to a point where we had to ask a waiter handling another table for stuff. It was like she was avoiding us. She wasn’t very friendly to us and quite frankly i was over her. She ruined my entire mood. The food was just okay. We were served some type of mushroom soup that was so salty that I thought I would pass out! It was BAD. We asked for the manager because that was the final straw. The lady manager came out and said that unfortunately there weren’t any other options and I’m not sure how she thought that was acceptable after we had paid $170 each. We ended up getting it replaced with a tuna tartare. In total, it took us about 1.5 hours to start getting food. It was organized and the wine was poorly paired with the food. My fish was cold. It was just bad. After we escaped the awful service, everything else was better at the bar. We met some cool people. I would only return for a regular day. They almost ruined out New Year’s Eve!!
So so delicious! Everything we tried was outstanding and the service was really really good as well. Highly recommend.
Great Nueva Mexicana comida. As good as Oaxaca and Mexico City
Had great food and cocktails. Loved the atmosphere.
Great ambiance, food and service!
Also the drinks were amazing!
We had passed by the restaurant many times. It was a great experience. Food was delicious, our server gave us a great guest experience, cocktails were perfect. I will highly recommend La Cha Cha Cha to everyone.
Our reservation was at 5pm so there weren't a lot of people yet. The servers were great and very helpful since it's our first time dining here. Food was superb! Would definitely come back when the weather is warmer.
The food was delicious but the waiters should have explained the process in ordering food. You cannot order appetizers without the main order. It was so unclear how to eat family style or individually. The portions are not clear.
This place has everything you could want in a restaurant. Great food, drinks, ambiance, and service. I would highly recommend checking it out.
