Food was excellent! Would def return!!
Good location, nice room, very dark. still, it feels like a hotel lobby, which it is. the food is "bite" size, good for sharing, but not amazing.
Food was good and nice ambiance, but the service is SLOW... also please note that tip is included in the price already, despite the very slow service.
Great for meetings, lunch. Quiet space.. tasty but small servings.
The savory churros were amazingly delicious! We had the creekstone skirt steak and cod tacos which were delicious as well. After dinner we took the elevator to the rooftop and ended the night with great music and view of the scenery! Definitely will be back here again!
Amazing food and story of how it all started. Great for a date and the prices are not extreme. I would highly recommend this place. How much nor do I need to type open table. I just want to give this amazing a great score so that others can enjoy what I enjoyed.
Great Latin American food! Must try
Puplsas

Chuleo waffle
Great food and great service will be back
Excellent food. Server's recommendations were excellent. The drinks were balanced and inventive without being kooky. The waffles for dessert were AMAZING.
Wonderful experience. Highly recommended
Some food we ordered was not available, even though we had lunch at 12:30!
The noise level was too high. Tapas were very good and wine list adequate.
Modern design. Flavorful guacamole. Nicely seasoned tuna tostada. Well-prepared skirt steak. Attentive service. Average prices for a boutique hotel restaurant.
Great burger and great place to catch up
with friends.
The restaurant accommodated our large party of 16. Although the food was good many people were served late and their food was cold. Service was not very attentive. The food was tasty and the management was apologetic and served us free deserts but they took a half hour to come out.
Terrible terrible terrible service. Slow slow slow
Food was great. Service very slow... 1/2 hour to get the appetizers!
Great spot.. Bring the bag of money. This one is going to hurt.
Always reliable whether it’s for a table for 2 or 8. Good food, ambiance and environment,
The location, food, and decor were great. The service was adequate, but not what I would expect from a nice NYC restaurant. I ordered a coffee and the waiter brought me an Americano for $4.50, and acted a little confused when I asked for artificial sweetener instead of sugar. There was a couple sitting next to us that was groping each other and making out, making it very awkward and uncomfortable. Nobody from the restaurant said anything to them and it went on for the entire brunch. We ate quickly so we could leave as soon as possible.
The food is always good, but I've been going to this restaurant since they opened and they have NEVER managed to hire waiters who know the word "proper service"! They are The managers need to seriously think about hiring proper waiters.
very pleasant bright high ceilinged space with good menu but live music was intrusive in the nearly empty restaurant on a Saturday late morning
Good food, slow and indifferent service.
I was expected live music but the musicians never arrived 🙃
I used to love this place, but now they changed management and you could notice that the service was very "casual". They also got rid of the cuban band replacing it with a jazz duo - nice, but too loud for this venue - and there are plenty jazz brunch venues in New York, we do not need another one! I do not see myself returning to the Americano soon.
Chicken Milanese was delicious though way too much salad on top. Kale salad with chicken Was not as appetizing when the chicken is already cut up. Maybe slice it nicely and let it on top and not in the side.
Bad service, waiters didn’t even know what was on the menu
Food over priced for what was served
Great design, great service and great food! Easy going and refined at the same time! Loved the patio
Usually exceptional but last night and brunch today, the staff was unorganized and flakey. What happened to the Bossa Nova brunch? I even asked about it last night and no one mentioned it was no longer happening. A but disappointed.
Last night got all dozen Oysters and the shuck was not good and nothing was done to address it. It's like, we were speaking English and the staff was saying Yes, but still didn't really understand the situation nor have any idea how to make it right. No manager on the floor showed.
Always a good time whether quiet it festive. Brunch is a good time. Very attentive Service. The food hasn't disappointed yet 🤓✌️🖖
I live in the neighborhood and have been coming here for many years. Most know of the roof terrace for dining and drinks but the Salsa brunch on the main floor 12-3 is always great. They recently got a new chef who has brought the food from 6/7 (out of 10) to an 9. The live music is also great and it is usually not crowded. I recommend the huevos rancheros, pancakes, chicken sausage and huevos Mexicana. Service is always great and I love the boutique hotel vibe. There is also a back area outside on the ground floor for when it gets warmer if you don’t want to deal with the crowds.
Good place for friendly conversation.
Love the space. High quality Mexican food, great drinks. Service is generally excellent. Like in Mexico, you're shouldn't be shy if you want attention--they're more likely to leave you alone and not intrude, rather than to check on you every few minutes. I appreciate this, but I'm sure some Americans complain about it. All in all a great place.
Very nice place. A bit too expensive. Food is good but it cost a arm and a leg
Although we unintentionally ate vegan for dinner, our food was delicious. Kale salad, Brussel sprouts and polenta were all delicious. The staff zealously took care of us.
I love this place. The service is not wonderful but the food is good. It is quiet so it's actually a great spot to have a meeting or be able to have a nice conversation. The aesthetic is clean and the big window makes the place look open.
great Saturday Brunch food was excellent and service friendly and attentive...would def recommend if in area esp if want to find a great place near High Line for bite of coffee..
The food and atmosphere at The Americano in the lobby restaurant are great! I take coworkers and clients to breakfast and lunch there often. I can count on great service, great food and it's never too busy since it's tucked away in Chelsea. The decor is classy and chic, I always feel great about scheduling a breakfast or lunch meeting there, but it would be great for the same with friends. One day I'll try it for dinner too!
Love it, work nearby, and nice for business lunches. Upscale and urbane, service can be spotty though, especially in the evening.
I always love this place for its ambience and neighborhood setting with the Highline and art district. Real good food choices and people watching.
Long time fan and customer of the Americano
Today was a pretty terrible service experience
Had to beg multiple times for items we previously ordered or requested. A very annoying and sub par dining experience.
The restaurant was empty and the food was average. Not quite what I was expecting considering all of the hype
