La Casita Pupuseria & Cocina C.A.
We are excited to inaugurate our Old Town Gaithersburg Location. If you have visited us in Silver Spring and Germantown you know that we strive to serve delicious, fresh, made to order Salvadoran food. Well, now our Central American neighbors get their place at La Casita! Look for food and drinks spanning from Guatemala way down to Panama. In addition we will be serving from a full bar, patio, family style meals, and seating. Don't worry, our classic Pupusas will be on the plancha and our Carne Asada on the parrilla. We hope to see you soon!
It was our first visit and start with the ambiance, then the food, attentive service, great, great value, and taste, we had an amazing visit. Can't wait to go back. Too us far too long to discover this gem.
Love La Casita! The Carne Asada is amazing, as are the pupusas, juices, and ceviche.
Loved this place. Really great food. Excellent service. And the live music was perfect. Def would go again.
Sat on their patio for breakfast...beautiful morning. Delicious, authentic and lovely wait staff. Can’t wait to try another meal.
The food was delicious, the service excellent, and the atmosphere was fun and relaxed. We will definitely return and would not hesitate to recommend to friends and co-workers!
This place is amazing. Food is authentic and delicious, great ambiance, interesting menu compared to your typical Latin joint. One of my favorite places to go!
Very slow service. Waitress was slow to come get order, appetizers came out first after a long wait .. meals came out one at a rime, with long waits in between the next .. meaning people who had meals got cold while waiting for others to be able to eat. The musicians are good, however they are so loud you can’t have conversation while they play. The place wasn’t even that full so there really didn’t seem to be a need for the delay.
Definitely a neighborhood gem! Make sure to try the pupusas. They have quite the selection and they are very affordable. The restaurant is very accommodating with large parties. Thursday night is mariachi night. Very entertaining! Stop by!
Delicious pupusas, tamales, and sopas! My only slight criticism was the curtido that comes with the pupusas is rather salty and it is less tart than other curtidos I have tried at other pupuserias. We were stuffed and unfortunately couldn't order more. We plan to go back to explore other items on the menu. Be aware though, this is not a Mexican restaurant. The large menu features other Central American countries, which is a refreshing change. The space is large with high ceilings, yet homey. We were there on a Saturday night and there was live music. Definitely recommend!
We love this place. Best kept secret. The food is delicious and fresh and the staff is so nice.
My only suggestion is to dim the lights a little more on weekends nights. It's a little bright. Other than that I LOVE LOVE it
The service was excellent! Our waitress was so positive and helpful even though my 2 year old daughter was messy and loud! This was my second visit and Ill definitely be back!
Great, authentic Central American food! Pupusas and tamales are fantastic.
Brunch was great! Great for families and Sunday football.
We came here with a group of nine. The food was very good and reasonably priced.
I had the Las Casitas Carne Asada, with beans n rice, and yucca frita. It was great.
Great authentic food, cool atmosphere, extremely well priced!
It was very disappointing to have a reservation, arrive and told “we have no tables- you’ll need to wait 20-30 minutes”. We had a hungry 2 year old with us and that was unacceptable. Why make tables available on Open Table if you cannot accommodate those reservations. Very disappointed.
I loved this place and definitely want to go back. The service was quick and the food affordable and delicious. Great selection of smoothies in addition to a large variety of foods.
Outstanding food and excellent authentic experience. I highly recommend the pupusas.
Took some friends for their first time. Food was great, service great, and our friends can’t wait to come back. We love it here!
We come here for weekly date night... and if we miss a week we are totally craving it by the time we come again. Totally authentic, amazing food, great service, and good prices. We love this place!
Really good food with a lot of variety, and the staff is so nice and pleasant.
I have been here for lunch and dinner. The menu is very good and very fairly priced for fresh made food options. The pupusas are outstanding. I have had several items on the menu, the fajita steak and cheese, all of the pupusas, tacos, the hamburger, and more. I've never been disappointed in anything I have tried here.
What a gem, hidden in Gaithersburg! Go here now! It’s wonderful! Will be back!
They didn't honor the OpenTable reservation because it was Mothers Day. Not sure if that's their issue or OpenTables. Service was horrendous. The whole experience took about 2.5 hours and not because we were wanting to hang out and chat. Took about about 1.5 hours just to start getting food and it finally arrived, it all arrived separately. Food/prices where decent but I would not go back.
At best the food was marginal. The portions were good, but not that tasty.
Great spot for Central American dishes. In addition to pupusas you can find a variety of options from around the Central American region.
Incredible value. The best pupusa's I've had for sure. Pan de pollo sandwich has me wanting another one. My 1 and a half year old loved everything.
For a first visit to a Central American restaurant featuring cuisine from Costa Rica, Honduras and El Salvador, this was a good find. The portions are plentiful and well presented. We especially enjoyed the pupusas. The dough is freshly made and filled with a variety of meats, cheese, red beans and veggies.
David was our attentive waiter and not only was he dressed in black with a red bow tie but he had such a friendly, cheerful attitude.
