Beautiful food, amazing service and an overall very enjoyable experience. We will be back for sure!
We had the chef’s selection. Excellent; do not eat much on the day, the serve is very generous and you will want to enjoy it. Overall the food is great.
we went for a special birthday at lunchtime. Noise level was perfect with tables well spaced.
The service was attentive without being annoyingly full of banter.
The meals were superb. Rarely have I so enjoyed the first mouthful. Flavours were clean and fresh.
Have nothing but praise for La Cantina. perfect. Thank you
Beautiful setting, amazing service and the food was impeccable!
Delicious, fresh Italian food done right! We had the ravioli and pork belly, both sensational. Service was excellent. We will be back!
Exceptional food, attentive service. Outstanding overall. My new favourite restaurant. It brought back memories of Italy. Highly recommend.
Thoroughly enjoyed the fixed price lunch. We’re glad we could take a couple of items home as our appetites couldn’t quite match the four courses offered.
Lolo and staff are tops in their service and Glenn in the kitchen is a good thing. Kudos all around!
Great place to experience some wonderful food and wine in a relaxing and peaceful environment.
Sensational! We absolutely loved our experience dining at La Cantina. The food was sublime, cosy restaurant with a gorgeous fire, excellent staff and a truly special atmosphere. Thank you La Cantina, we are already planning our next visit!
Long wait for pre booked table. Left with no service standing for 20 mins. No compensation offered. Service was just ok. Food good. Overall experience affected by wait and level of service.
Fabulous. We had heard good reports but everything surpassed our expectations. Shared chef's selection riffed on creative Italian and every dish was excellent. It would be churlish to pick a favourite. Then came desserts, and could not believe anyone could pack that much real mandarin or intense burnt toffee into ice cream. Did I mention the chocolate 'cake', a firm ganache delight? Staff suggested taking home leftovers, and that was welcome. Small, creative, local/Italian wine list, with some surprises, and reasonably priced. Sat next to the fire which was a bonus on a cold night. Staff were invariably delightful, informed and enthusiastic about what they and Common Ground were doing. The latter was the reason for wanting to go there in the first place. Now we can't wait to return. It should be an immediate 1-2 hats, with a bonus for the broader social initiative. Eat there!
Service was brilliant, this place is special, a little high on the price but you get what you pay for. This is definitely one place that you need to experience
What a great place to dine this is my 3rd time here and equally as good as the first visit.
Chefs selection is fantastic amazing value quality food and don’t eat the bread or you won’t fit in desert.
Very accomodating if you wish to select a couple of dishes and share them.
All fantastic however yesterday’s Pork was outstanding
Expensive and unimaginative wine offering. Too few side dish choices...salad or chips or potatoes.
Loved it! Food was delish and our waitress was so sweet. Will definitely go back
From the very first greeting this place is A1
How lucky are we to have such a high quality restaurant on our doorstep ...
Serves are generous and first class...
Wine list is very good indeed.
Outstanding at every level. Set menu is the way to go
We had a lovely experience at your restaurant however we felt the prices have made the option of a repeat visit unlikely.
The food was delicious and the service great.
The absolute finest Italian in our region. Loved every dish and is such a beautiful place! Will be back!
The food was absolutely amazing!! The staff were all very friendly and helpful. A gorgeous place that we will definitely be going back to and have started recommending this to our family and friends.
The food and service was amazing. Highly recommended and we will be back again
The food was great, the service was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble. Lovely atmosphere.
Such a beautiful place, food and staff. Looking forward to returning soon.
Great venue, food and service we had an amazing lunch/ afternoon and will definitely be coming back
We have recommended La Cantina to our friends. An enjoyable experience and will certainly return
Delicious Italian fare with great service
Very nice atmosphere, good & honest cuisine.
We ordered the chef menu.
The ravioli and the pork was outstanding. And I loved the chocolate cake.
Service was really good and the ambiance was really nice.
We had a wonderful experience dining at La Cantina on Saturday night. Simple food so wonderfully fresh and prepared. Lola and the team are so welcoming and friendly with great service. We are super happy and look forward to many more dining experiences here. La Cantina will be a regular for us!
This was my fourth dinner at La Cantina. I love it & will be back soon hopefully. LoLo is very welcoming, the wait staff are professional but warm & the food is delicious.
thank you for an excellent lunch, we had the last booking but were not rushed at all!
We enjoyed the home-made pasta, especially the ravioli; the lamb and beef mains were lovely but the pork belly was a little soft. To finish off the home-made ice cream was a hit and the apple pie satisfactory.
Will definitely be returning- food was amazing and the service was so helpful!
Great service and beautiful locations. Some meals not of standard expected from pricing and reviews.
Really enjoyed our meal & play area for the kids 🙌🏻
Went here for a belated birthday lunch & we chose to get a selection of items from the a la carte menu, the produce is all grown on site and the taste is outstanding! I don't think I've ever experienced so much flavour from a carrot before! The pasta was delicious and the starter and sides too.
Service was relaxed but with just the right amount of friendly attention. I think this place is a must visit for those heading to or from the Great Ocean Road.
P.S. Also for those morning the loss of Anglesea's sadly no longer operating 'Captain Moonlite' you will be pleased to be greeted by the familiar face of Lolo once again.
Beautiful rustic italian. A great spot for lunch in the country
Food was nice but didn’t blow my socks off. There is a nice outside area which is good for kids, but unfortunately we didn’t get to sit out there, possibly due to the potential of rain, which made it kinda challenging with kids inside. Would be lovely to go back to with friends and drink a bottle of the sparkling rose!
What a great experience. Great food, staff and location. Can’t wait to try something else on the menu. So much to choose from.
What a gem of a place! The roasted pork belly was sensational. Already picked out what I want to try next; the wood grilled marinated leg of lamb, can't wait.
