La Camelia Restaurant
A very large and interesting menu for Restaurant Week. Everything was delicious. I had the shrimp turnover and the Paella. Lots of room between tables. I want to go back for a Tapas meal with friends.
The food and service were good.Out door seating was pleasant, and heaters were provided.I would go back
The hostess and server were very attentive! Food was amazing and will definitely go back.
We were the only diners at the main restaurant but a few people at the bar. Definitely quiet.
Tried this restaurant because of Hudson Valley restaurant week. The place was charming, the staff was attentive, the food was delicious! Will definitely return.
This one of our favorite restaurants. Eating here feels like eating with family. Victor and his wife Sarafina, along with their wait staff are wonderful. The food is always fresh and well presented.
I was really disappointed in this place. The reviews were so great that we decided to go and try it. Well. I think the chef needs a lesson in salting the food. We both had Paella and it was so so salty. Should of sent it back but we will not be back to this place ever. The shrimp were dried out, the chorizo had a funny taste, the clams were only ok, the meat was also dried out, but I do have to say the mussels were great. Four great muscles out of the whole dish is a disaster to me. There was certainly plenty of salty rice. The caesar salad was OK. The vodka on the rocks was very good and so was the coffee. $89.75 for a horrible lunch to me is a disaster. Good by LaCamelia I will not recommend your restaurant to anyone.
Great night out! We were seated promptly, food was good and the staff was friendly. Social distancing observed.
We had a great restaurant week lunch here. Didn't know what to expect so we were pleasantly surprised. Large portions of delicious food, friendly and attentive service. Outdoor seating was in an enclosed porch with heaters (not needed when we were there since it was unseasonably warm). Looking forward to returning!
Didn’t open on time
Food was great but didn’t care for the way we were treated...
Food was very good but the service was not! Reservation was made and we were placed at hi tops at the bar. Service was slow and inconsistent having to ask for things repeatedly.
Great dining under their outdoor covered deck... food was delicious.
Food was not flavorful esp the sole. Portions for the chicken and pepper dish very small ambiance was nicr
Fantastic meal socially distant. Incredible tapas and Portuguese bread was delish. We will go back!
We have been steady customers for years. That speaks for itself. The food is always fresh and well prepared and the service is excellent. Always a pleasant experience
La Camelia is a hidden gem! The food is always phenomenal and brings new light to traditional Portuguese and Spanish food. The servers are always friendly and take time to explain the dishes. Cocktails are some of the best in Northern Westchester, it’s our new favorite weekend spot. The remodeled outdoor dining area, restaurant and bar are beautiful, but still keep a bit of the old charm.
Everything was incredible, the food was so good and everyone there was so lovely!
This restaurant is a hidden gem. We took our cousin out for her birthday and had an absolute blast. Our server was not only delightful, but she was also extremely helpful. The food was very good, though I will say they overcooked the Tortilla Española. Overall our meals were excellent. This is definitely a place we intend to revisit. Can’t wait to try their paella next time!
Super nice people, but the food was nothing special. Definitely overpriced. A moderate to decent meal at best.
This was a combined bday & engagement and we had the entire restaurant to ourselves! Service was fantastic and the food was authentic and fresh.
Lovely place to share great food, fine and a romantic moment.
Food is great. And outdoor sitting is adorable
Great dinner with the family. The food was delicious as always and the service was outstanding.
This was our first time at La Camelia and we can't wait to go back. Aside from the food being great. We were visiting with friends and were able to relax and enjoy without being rushed at all. We were sitting at a high table in the bar area.
Excellent food prepared with care and served with a relaxed and mindful manner. Delicious and home-made tasting food. Will return on my next swing through the area.
Found this place on open table while searching for outdoor dining choices. They have both tapas and regular plates on the menu, but we stuck with tapas, and it was hard to choose! Everything was really great-especially the Lobster Bisque!! Service was lovely as well. Nice pour on the wine. The outdoor seating was comfortable, as there were plenty of heaters out there and the space was well kept. Definitely recommend this gem.
Haven't been here in years...nice update to the decor and the menu. Paella was as great as I remember. The eggplant tapas and chorizo and bean tapas were excellent.
Have been here a few times , just my husband and myself but this time, I brought my Cousins with me!
Victor , the owner was wonderful when he called to confirm and I added 1 more to my party! He made the round table work for us.... We were 9 adults but we had plenty of room.... The wait staff was wonderful and when Victor wasn’t checking on us, his lovely wife who’s name I forgot was making sure we were ok and had what we needed !
The food was delicious and my family is Portuguese so they were happy to have some Old time family dishes to choose from!
The food and the wine flowed, we weren’t rushed and it was a memorable and great night out!
Thank you, Victor for treating us like Family!!
Amazing food and wonderful ambience! Wonderful dinner with friends.
Great meal, good service, wonderful and Covid safe setting and ambience. The paella was delicious!
We ate outside on a comfortable evening and with the heat lamps it was that much more pleasant. The spicy shrimp and veal empanadas were a great start to our fine dining experience. The steak on the stone was sizzling and made to perfection. The seafood bouillabaisse was filled with a mix of lobster, scallops, shrimp and more.
We washed our meals down with Smokey’s famous Red Sangria and wrapped up the evening with a nice hot Cappuccino. No room for their delicious desert on this night!
Delicious food. Lovely setting. Wonderful service.
We have been coming here for many years, but have not been back this year due to Covid. We were seated outdoors well distanced from other diners. The food and service wonderful as always.
Beautiful setting, lots of table options inside and out. The food is delicious
Food was amazing!! Prices were affordable and perfect outdoor dining!!!
We had delicious Spanish and Portuguese tapas in their spacious outdoor dining area. The service was wonderful. There wasn't anything that could be improved upon.
The food was good, and I really hate to say this, but it was very bland.. Love the restaurant love, the atmosphere, love Serafina and her husband. They make you feel like you are a guest in their home. We will definitely be back. There are ingredients that make a restaurant experience happy. Ambience, service and food.
My favorite outdoor restaurant in Westchester! The outdoor dining is wonderful! Service is always prompt and gracious! Food takes me back to the Mediterranean! Fresh , delicious, and beautifully presented!
Always a wonderful meal! The outside area is lovely and very inviting. Food is flavorful and fabulous to share!
From start to finish, it was a wonderful experience! Been wanting to come here for a long time, then COVID hit and wasn’t able to..
Being Portuguese, it’s been hard to find a warm and authentic restaurant..
This place was it...
Our waitress, Liliana welcomed us and treated us like old friends and family..
My husband had a red , Douro wine and I opted for a cold vinho verde.. one I hadn’t enjoyed before..
We both had tapas to start.. My husband had chourico Assado served like we do at home..
I had Rissóis de Camarão.. cooked like Mom’s!
You can tell all the dishes are freshly made and we were able to sit and enjoy each course..
My husband had Bitoque for dinner and I opted for 2 more tapas as I wanted everything on the menu..
I enjoyed the Camarão à Guilho... shrimp in garlic spicy sauce also a favorite and also the Jamon Serrano cheese and fresh ham as my main course..
We finished our meal with espresso and Pastis de Natas... served warm.. I could see these were homemade and not from another location which happens at some other restaurants in the area!
All in all a perfect evening and we told Lilliana that we will be back and bring our family and friends!
Obrigado La Camelia !
The fact that we’ve been going to this restaurant for years and lately about every two weeks, to support the owners and staff during these rough times, tells you something. Great food, great service and now expanded outdoor dining!
