La Camelia was the first restaurant my husband & I choose for inside dining after 13 months self quarantining & it was a great choice. We arrived early & were given a choice of outside patio, fine dining or Tapas room, and seated immediately. The dining room is lovely: soft grey walls, massive wood trim and fireplace, with white covered tables socially distanced. The red sangria was festive with fresh fruit & enough alcohol to taste. The endive & poached pear salad was fresh, beautifully presented and well dressed. My steak was exactly as ordered and delicious. My husband's salad was also quite good, as was his salmon.
The food service was attentive but not intrusive; the space is comfortable and the food was thoughtfully prepared. By the time we left, the tapas room was becoming animated with the sound of happy people enjoying good food & drink. We'll happily return.
Safe and clean dining environment during this Covid period. Ordered lobster bisque as a starter. Nice and light unlike the typical New England chowder.
Both my wife and I ordered the roast duck as an entree, which was nice and crispy on the outside and tender inside. The service as usual was very attentive and efficient. Another wonderful dining experience.
We had a lovely meal last night. We ate in the outdoor patio which was well heated with their propane heaters. The food was great. I had the Valenciana paella which was very tasty with loads of seafood, chicken, and sausage. My wife had a beautiful endive salad and tapas which she said were wonderful. The service was great with a very attentive waitresses.
We had lunch on the outdoor patio. The service was attentive and knowledgeable. Our food was out of this world! I definitely recommend and will be back soon!
Exceptional service. Excellent food and an abundance of food choices including main entrees, and varied Tapas selection where one could not go wrong. Large selection of wines and cocktails as well. Will definitely return and look forward to in warmer weather where we can take advantage of patio seating, although patio is equipped with heaters and semi enclosed.
The food and the staff were the best! We are all definitely going back very soon. It’s as good as or better than what I had in Portugal.
Food was very extremely bland. If you label something as spicy it should pack heat. The service was amazing
Great food. Service and outdoor dining and patio!
Dining here brings back fond memories of our Portugal / Spain trip a few years ago. The dishes at La Camelia are as good as those we had overseas.
On this Friday night during Lent, not wanting to break the traditional fast and to be honest, it really was not a sacrifice. My wife and I began our dinner with lobster bisque soup which is nothing like the heavy cream New England one and we shared a Cod fritter appetizer. For our entrees we had Scallops and Octopus. Both were tender, delicious and as usual the portions were very generous. We washed our meals down with their delicious homemade red Sangria and topped off our dinner with Pistachio Cake and hot Cappuccino. The service staff as usual, was courteous and efficient. A perfect relaxing night out
during this insane COVID-19 period. Thank you Serafina and Victor for providing a clean and safe environment!
Had a lovely time. We sat by the fireplace as I requested. Hana our waitress was cheerful, informative and very attentive. We enjoyed the excellent Valencia Paella along with several of the tapas. I loved the Lobster Bisque soup which was a very healthy portion and had crabmeat in it as well. I can't wait to go there again.
Hannah the waitress was excellent 5 stars all around we will be back!
It was my wife’s birthday and a snowstorm was approaching that night but I was determined to take her out to our favorite Portuguese/Spanish restaurant. We decided to to make it a lunch. Everything was perfect as it always is for dinner! The starters of lobster bisque and tapas were perfect and our entree’s of beef short ribs were tender with the meat just falling off the bone. Our waitress was Hanna, sweet and very efficient! We will definitely add lunches to our usual dinner reservations.
Meal was great. Service was slow, but it didn't detract from how good the food was. You might consider requesting a seat by the fireplace if available.
Environment was very good with table spaced alert fir safety during Covid times. The food was great and the service was great as well.
Wonderful restaurant, cozy, clean, and lovely staff. The food is so fresh, delicious and presented well. Lots of seafood specialities. Great date place.
From the food to the service, La Camelia was outstanding. We chose multiple dishes from the tapas menu with one being more delicious than the next. Each dish came out one by one. We were given time to enjoy each dish, digest a bit, and then the next would be served. Our server was excellent! She also couldn't have been nicer! We had a wonderful dining experience, will absolutely return, and highly recommend!!
Great food and service
We had such an amazing time. The staff was incredible and the food was not only authentic but far surpassed our expectations. When I went to pay the bill it was a lot less than I thought it would be. We will definitely be back, soon.
This restaurant is our favorite for both Spanish & Portuguese cuisine! Large, interesting, delicious tapas selection too!
The owners & staff always pleasant & accommodating!
We should all be supporting our favorite restaurants during this Covid period. You can also consider take-out!
Nice atmosphere, good food, great service. Highly recommend.
Perfect lunch date
This restaurant is a gem in Mt Kisco. The seafood paella is of course number 1. It’s a pretty good serving for a lunch portion. My friends had the snapper and branzino which were cooked to perfection. Moist and tender and came with sauce on the side and vegetables. The desserts were heavenly, flan and apple tartin.
No wonder this restaurant is still in existence after 30+ years.
Of course we will not forget our server who was attentive and knowledgeable about the selection.
We will definitely come back.
My wife and I have eaten here many times and are never disappointed. The food is always fresh and well prepared. The service is very attentive and friendly.
A wonderful Christmas Eve dinner with 7 fishes!
I love, the food was great and the flan delicious
La Camelia has become a favorite. The authentic food and friendly service is always on point. Their cocktails are expertly crafted. The ambience is comforting. We always feel like we are dining with family when visiting La Camelia. Can’t wait for spring to enjoy their outdoor space.
A very large and interesting menu for Restaurant Week. Everything was delicious. I had the shrimp turnover and the Paella. Lots of room between tables. I want to go back for a Tapas meal with friends.
The food and service were good.Out door seating was pleasant, and heaters were provided.I would go back
The hostess and server were very attentive! Food was amazing and will definitely go back.
We were the only diners at the main restaurant but a few people at the bar. Definitely quiet.
Tried this restaurant because of Hudson Valley restaurant week. The place was charming, the staff was attentive, the food was delicious! Will definitely return.
This one of our favorite restaurants. Eating here feels like eating with family. Victor and his wife Sarafina, along with their wait staff are wonderful. The food is always fresh and well presented.
I was really disappointed in this place. The reviews were so great that we decided to go and try it. Well. I think the chef needs a lesson in salting the food. We both had Paella and it was so so salty. Should of sent it back but we will not be back to this place ever. The shrimp were dried out, the chorizo had a funny taste, the clams were only ok, the meat was also dried out, but I do have to say the mussels were great. Four great muscles out of the whole dish is a disaster to me. There was certainly plenty of salty rice. The caesar salad was OK. The vodka on the rocks was very good and so was the coffee. $89.75 for a horrible lunch to me is a disaster. Good by LaCamelia I will not recommend your restaurant to anyone.
Great night out! We were seated promptly, food was good and the staff was friendly. Social distancing observed.
We had a great restaurant week lunch here. Didn't know what to expect so we were pleasantly surprised. Large portions of delicious food, friendly and attentive service. Outdoor seating was in an enclosed porch with heaters (not needed when we were there since it was unseasonably warm). Looking forward to returning!
Didn’t open on time
Food was great but didn’t care for the way we were treated...
Food was very good but the service was not! Reservation was made and we were placed at hi tops at the bar. Service was slow and inconsistent having to ask for things repeatedly.
Great dining under their outdoor covered deck... food was delicious.
Food was not flavorful esp the sole. Portions for the chicken and pepper dish very small ambiance was nicr
Fantastic meal socially distant. Incredible tapas and Portuguese bread was delish. We will go back!
We have been steady customers for years. That speaks for itself. The food is always fresh and well prepared and the service is excellent. Always a pleasant experience
