Excellent service, gracious host, delicious food and warm ambience....what more could you ask for?
This was our first time at La Camelia. The ambiance, service and food were superb. I appreciate that we were informed my husband's paella would take about 30 minutes! We had our drinks first, then our salad and then we didn't really wait that long for our meals. A wonderful hidden gem in Mount Kisco! Go and enjoy a taste of Spain in our backyard. We will be back!
Wonderful and authentic Portuguese tapas served by a delightful owner and her staff
We are never disappointed at La Camelia. On a rainy Monday evening, there were relatively few diners, but, as always, the food was excellent and the setting was warm and intimate.
The lunch special is a bargain. 3 courses for 27 bucks is outstanding.
AMAZING FOOD! Great Service.
Would definitely recommend. The food was amazing. Loved the salted cod. The staff was friendly and attentive. Overall great for a date night or a night out with friends.
We always enjoy La Camelia. The menu has a wide variety of small plates and larger entrees, and the selection between seafood, meat and even vegetarian options is excellent. The three course prix fixed lunch menu is an outstanding value. The covered terrace allows for outside seating even on a rainy day (and heat lamps make it comfortable well into autumn).
Very disappointing-went there about 3 years ago and it was good.
NIce outdoor dining option. Great selection of small plates or entrees. Great service
Dined there years ago with original owners and again with the new people. Delicious and well presented. My favorite are the Paella and garlic shrimp. I must try more different dishes; everything sounds so good as I am certain they will be. Special place.
We came on a Sunday evening and we were treated like family! We were celebrating my daughters birthday!
The owner and his lovely wife were perfect hosts!
My son in law is from Spain and my husband is Portuguese so they were in a friendly battle over wine!
Our gracious hosts did an impromptu wine tasting to settle the argument!!
Such a special and wonderful time!!
This is why we keep coming back and bringing family and friends!!
Food is so delicious but customer service is Next To None!!!
Obrigado to La Camelia,
See you soon,
This restaurant is simply amazing. Delicious and authentic food, wonderful atmosphere and vibe, and outstanding and attentive service. A true gem, and I will always return. Victor and Serafina are the best hosts. I highly recommend.
Great outdoor dining! The service we received was fantastic and the food was delicious.
So sorry to say this as I was excited to try after many years of not dining here. Mediocre at best and way overpriced. All 4 of us agreed. Major disappointment. They ask if it’s an occasion and I let them know it was our 20th anniversary and my birthday and not even a token of anything. To. Many good restaurants out there to go back.
We dined outside.
We were very leisurely and that was fine with the staff.
Everyone enjoyed the space and the food....starters, entrees, desserts.
Excellent food, nice selection of Spanish and Portuguese tapas, main dishes and desert. Service was attentive.
Food was delicious, especially the duck and rice, served in a cast iron to get the socarrart of a paella. Service was solid and pleasant, but could have be more frequent given the limited number of customers at the time.
Nice venue. Waiter was attentive— but wait was long between courses and the place was not busy. Next time I’ll ask for menu recommendations. Luncheon specials were extensive and good value. My pet peeve—music choice. Spanish or Portuguese classical would relate to the cuisine. Will definitely recommend to friends,
Inattentive service. Paella is salty. Waited for the whole dinner to refill a bottle of water.
Delicious meal and excellent service by Betsy! Met good friends there as a central location and had a lovely time. Tricky to find the restaurant via Waze, but glad we persisted! Will definitely return!
Amazing lunch and the service was great!
Went for early dinner and sat outside. As usual the food and service was excellent! For this reason, La Camelia is our place to go for authentic Portuguese and Spanish cuisine.
We had lunch in very pleasant covered outdoor terrace. We ordered from three-course prix fixe lunch menu, which was good value at $25. Red sangria delicious. Food was a bit uneven (crab bisque disappointed, beefsteak frites disappointed, paella very good, our two tapas very good, and tarte tatin outstanding.) The service was terrific — warm, welcoming, attentive. Overall, it did deliver a very enjoyable luncheon experience for the two of us. (We’ll order differently on our next visit.)
Menu has some interesting tapas. Tapas food is OK, atmosphere is nice.
Great setting. Friendly service. However, coffee not the best...not hot enough...strange taste
Another great meal at La Camelia. We changed up and enjoyed strictly tapas this time accompanied by a flavorful rose and smooth Tempranillo. New to us we’re the Prawns Mozambique split in a rich garlicky sauce, as well as shrimp in a cognac sauce (not on the menu, but suggested by our server). Lovely outdoor seating and a welcoming staff; we’re becoming regulars.
The food and service were outstanding. Our server, Betsy, was also outstanding, attentive but not overbearing, and very informative. The ambiance, outdoor dining, was like being in a wonderful treehouse -- without the noise of birds. It was cool and pastorial.
A hidden gem. The food was incredible and service was amazing. Will 100% go back and bring friends!
Excellent Spanish and Portuguese tapas along with one of the best outdoor dining arrangements in all of westchester.
Maybe it was because they had a big party but we waited almost 3 hours to be served and the food was over cooked second time I had a dinner that wasn’t cooked properly if I ever go back it will be for tapas only
The food was fabulous. We had tapas because there were so many we wanted to try. The asparagus with almonds was out of this world, as were the eggplant rolls and the steamed vegetable crepe. The cod fritters were probably the weakest, and even those I'd happily eat again. But first I have to try the shredded duck on paella rice and the tortilla Espanola. It's not a place to go in a rush because the kitchen is small and they're making so many different things at once. The music selection was odd and definitely kept us entertained while we waited to eat.
The restaurant was clearly overbooked which colored our experience. It was excessively noisy. Service was erratic. Food was not prepared properly and no one followed up to see how we were doing.
Great food, relaxing pleasant atmosphere, good service.
Terrible. Waitress was very pushy. Kept insisting on giving our drink and food orders before we even saw menu. We asked for bread, said it was in oven, 20minutes later still no bread. When she brought it out it was cold and semi frozen. Her answer was you wanted the bread so I brought it out. Other tables seemed to get bread in timely manner. Gave her our food orders two orders of Paella and two people ordered 3 tapas to share. . Forty minutes later the paella is served. Only two tapas brought out. Waited 20 minutes for the third, never came. A manager comes over to table and said sardine dish given to wrong table, none left. No offer to provide another dish, or compensate us. Waitress very argumentative. Food was over cooked and dried out. Never going back to this restaurant which used to be quite good, no longer
Gaby was an extremely attentive and personable waitress - it definitely added to the fine food - good value on wine-should have pan con tomate and more olive : tapenade - staple if a tapas bar/ restaurant- will ge back
Delicious and interesting food. You can choose an entree or tapas. We decided to eat at the bar and share a few plates. We shared the cucumber and tomato salad, grilled shrimp on guacamole, spanish tortilla (leeks, potato, egg), serrano & cheese plate, and the picadihno - which is like a meat stew. It was all flavorful and well prepared. I would recommend each dish. The bar got crowded and noisy at one point and service struggled to keep up - but was always friendly and responsive to requests. Probably not the best place for vegetarians, but pescatarians and omnivores will be happy. It's a hidden gem!
We had the best time with the best food and the greatest server!!!!
We can’t wait to come back! The food and service were incredible.
Delicious, shaved cod great tapas. Nice Portuguese wines. A bit hard to find. Would go back.
