Beautiful experience all around
The restaurant is amazing! Wonderful location, but not great view of the mountains.
I got disappointed with the wine menu, the way prices are display can lead to error...
I didn’t like the food but I am a picky eater, just took my girlfriend for bonus points, which worked!
This place is eye-poppingly expensive (we spent $250 for two people) but every single dish is incredible, the ambience is so relaxing, the restaurant and grounds are beautiful, and the service is top-notch.
We went for Mother's Day Brunch last year and this year. Price went up by $20 per person as compared to last year, but the quality and choices of the Brunch went down as compared to last year.
Price up and quality down is not a good combination.
Amazing.... I will continue to visit and enjoy. However next time I’ll take an smaller car.
The food was pretty great, we loved seeing the birds around the grounds. Service was good we had a awesome time there.
Amazing experience. The main floor was packed and a little noisy from larger groups, without us even having to ask, our hostess offered to seat us upstairs where it was quieter. We had the whole floor all to ourselves for over an hour. Very romantic. Great service. Exceptional food. Unique experience. Also most I’ve ever paid for a meal for two. Still, worth it for very special occasions.
This is a one of a kind restaurant with excellent French food.
We travel to SLC every year and never miss the chance to dine at La Caille restaurant. We are never disappointed, the grounds are worth the visit alone, dining is a wonderful experience indeed. While not inexpensive the value is still there if you can afford the splurge. Great presentations lots of variety. Our only complaint as small as it is, our sit down drink order took 20 minutes to arrive and the restaurant was not busy. A small thing but it was annoying at the time. But it did not reduce our overall experience in the least. We will be back next year,
We went for our 7 year anniversary and I have to say it was amazing!! Meg was our server and she was second to none! She absolutely went above and beyond in every aspect possible.
We went to LaCaille for my birthday. Jason was our waiter and he was fantastic. We were a party of 7 and we all thoroughly enjoyed our food. Some of us had the French toast which melted in your mouth. The others had the chateau breakfast and it didn’t disappoint either. The grounds were gorgeous. I would definitely come back.
Great food, wonderful setting. My favorite restaurant in Utah
Wonderful venue for an upscale feel and delicious food. Unfortunately, the on-line pricing for the menu was off by about $20/plate! Expect to pay a pretty penny.
Perfect fine dining experience. The food itself was amazing... this is what food should taste like. My date was nearly crying because the flavor was so good. If you want to make someone feel special, bring them here.
It took way too long to get our entrees. Server was very nice however.
our evening and the food was spectacular. Oue waiter was excellent. HHad a good knowledge of what to order and was knowledgeable about La Caille's past and present. Thanks for a wonderful 33rd Wedding Anniversary celebration.
Every detail of our Easter gathering was perfect.
This is a very special place. Perfect choice for holidays, anniversaries, or any special occasion.
The Food was awesome and waitress was very good! And I will go again to try all different dishes.
We had such a wonderful anniversary dinner there... our server Meg was awesome 🎉🎉🎉
This place has the greatest people doing exceptional service to making evenings a splendid experience! The food and atmosphere compliment each other very well. They really are excellent in bringing out the best. Just go for it. You will not regret it. :)
We love the LaCaille experience! The food is out-of-this-world delicious, the service is primo, the ambiance is such that one feels comfortably at-home in a very exquisite French chateaux. The soft music (from the big-band era) is a perfect background, the grounds are lovely, and the peacocks wandering lazily add a beautiful touch. We celebrated our anniversary at LaCaille, and it was a wonderful evening. Now, we are eager to attend the Sunday brunch. Thank you to everyone at LaCaille!
It’s a beautiful spot way out away from civilization. When we arrived the front reception seemed a little unprepared. We were seated at a table and the waitress wanted to move us closer to the big windows. That transition was strange at best. It took 30 minutes just to get some water and 45 to get our orders taken. Painfully slow, and I say that because I think the antique, half-broken wicker chairs are the most uncomfortable things we have ever sat on for 3 hours! The food was good but not worth the price! My lamb chops were almost raw and couldn’t be cut with my sharp steak knife. They quick grilled them again and were edible. Because of that and the loooong wait for everything, they offered us some free desserts which were tasty. Our waitress was very good, just very slow food service.
I would highly recommend La Caille. The food is tremendous.
We went here for brunch. The food was great, the service was great. A little pricey, but worth the trip. We are in Utah a several times a year, and this restaurant is now on our list of must visit places when we are in the area.
We had an early reservation, 5 pm, I highly recommend it, felt like we had the place to ourselves. The entire staff were very friendly and timely. Meg was especially pleasant, knowledgeable, helpful and attentive. Everything was perfect, best prepared mussels I’ve ever tasted.
An upscale restaurant that takes itself way to seriously. The staff must put on 40 miles a shift just running around trying to keep up with the demanding facade that the restaurant tries to present. We decided to use our gift certificate to enjoy the Sunday brunch because quite frankly the dinner menu was over priced and so “fancy” there was nothing that looked good. The brunch was very good - but again the staff was always running to and fro and nobody seemed to be helping anybody else out. If you see a guest has finished a course and extended the dishes to the edge of the table - please pick it up even if it isn’t your table. So pretensious! So sooty!
Ordered 2 non-alcoholic drinks - one came. Then, 10 minutes later the other one arrived. Had to ask 3 times for napkins because the table service wasn’ t complete when we sat down. There were very few customers at noon or there might have been a reason for the delay in set up, etc.
The specialty French toast is excellent as was the cheese and bacon omelet. Again, the poor staff have to practically run everywhere to serve the food hot.
We would recommend the brunch. Our waiter, Jason, was excellent, personable, made great suggestions and really saved this experience from being dismal. We hope Jason will consider working at another upscale restaurant - where ever he goes we would follow.
Service was not what I would expect for this restaurant
We had great time. The only complaint is that we did not get all of the take home food we expected. They forgot to include the croissants we did not eat. We specifically asked for them too.
Service was just perfect. We had a great experience.
Great food and expensive. Very nice staff and beautiful location.
Very high-class restaurant. Food was very good, only about 6 items to choose from for both appetizers and entrees.
Everything from beginning to
end was perfect...Servers, Food, Ambiance, Grounds
What a wonderful celebration night! Dinner was perfect, service was perfect, location was perfect.
La Caille is my favorite restaurant in the Salt Lake City area. We got off to a bad start when we ordered drinks and they were slow coming but a complimentary appetizer was brought out and then bread. We were concerned soups and salads would be brought next so we asked the server to slow down the service so we could enjoy our cocktails without being rushed. The one thing about La Caille is the ambience and you don’t want to rush the meal as it is also pricey. They accommodated us and slowed the meal down. Only one person complained about their food being cold. Everyone else enjoyed theirs.
This was the poorest food and especially since it was outrageously priced.
The food didn't taste good and the meat was so tough I could hardly cut the $100 steak
This was not the La Caille that I went to many years ago.
When you pay with tip $600 for four people to eat ( no drinking ) it should be outstanding.
I plan on never going there again and will pass that on to anyone who ask
great servie great food. the lady in the big table next to us was extremely loud though. besides that it was a great experience.
Great food. Bring your own wine though.
Steak was under cooked. We ordered Medium but it was definitely rare. Everything else was fantastic!
