We had a wonderful experience my family and I we arrived early and took some pictures on the grounds it was like a fairytale. The meal was perfect and I appreciate all the effort that the chef produced for us He made it a memorable event celebrating Mother’s Day and remembering my father-in-law who passed away last year.
Beautiful setting with great food and service. Perfect for a special occasion.
Always a joy to dine here. Service was really quite good, and the food was on point - great flavor and good portions.
Perhaps the first piece of meat I’ve ordered in SLC that was cooked perfectly based on what I requested
Loved the food and the romantic atmosphere. I haven’t been here for quite a few years and it impressed! Thank you to our server who was pleasant and gave us just the right amount of attention. Compliments to the chef as well!
It was a lovely meal and the plating was outstanding. The service was very good. There were only a few things that kept from 5 stars - the wine 'menu' is so out dated that I had to pick a few different ones so they could see what was available; 2) The duck breast was cooked 'well' instead of medium rare, 3) the lobster tail was not quite cooked enough. The burrata salad was excellent, the froi gras was so creamy and buttery it was literally melting on the plate. It was accompanied with a jelly-like apricot and fresh red grapes and was one of the best froi gras we've every had. The pear tart was delcious. We wouldn't hesitate to eat there again - but we would ask for meat temps when ordering the main.
Amazing food, ambiance and service.
Food was really good. We got 3 different entrees. The lamb, sea bass and lobster dishes. The lobster portion was small and a bit tough but the bass and Rack of lamb were excellent. Salad and soups were so good as well as the snails. We also had the duck liver, wish it wasn’t patte but still good. Service was excellent. The decor seems a bit outdated with fake plants. Overall a good experience.
Awesome night out!! Amazing food and service. Wonderful atmosphere.
Great service and amazing food!
Food was ok but service was not as good as expected
This was my first visit to La Caille. We had the brunch menu on a Sun 4/18/2021 & everything we ordered was superb! Our waiter Grayson did an excellent job of taking care of us. I look forward to eating outside next time. Your chef is incredibly talented!!!
The service and food were excellent! We've been there before and I was looking forward to seeing the peacocks, which we did. However, it looked like they were doing some renovations or something out back. There was a lot of unearthed dirt that the poor peacocks had to navigate around. Overall, the experience was excellent, though.
A beautiful setting for brunch with great wait staff and delicious food served.
Menu was very limited and not the same as it was prior Covid. Took my daughter for her 18th Birthday as it is her favorite place. Unfortunately I made the mistake of not checking the menu before booking which I have never had to do in the past. My daughter has Celiac disease and is very picky because of it. It started with hard Udi's bread that was far from fresh. She likes chicken and turkey but not any other meats. They of course did not have any of those options on the menu, so the only option was a vegetarian option which included mostly celery and onions and of course not very appealing. The desert options were even more disappointing. Only one gluten free option that did not look appealing. Their amazing banana fosters is not longer offered and the special Birthday chocolate mousse was not offered either (at that point the daughter was emotional because the desert was to be the biggest highlight of the meal). I highly suggest if anyone has been there in the past to make sure to check the current online menu so you won't be disappointed as it is not the same as it once was. Lesson learned for myself as I made an assumption which resulted in an expensive disappointment for my daughter's birthday.
I have been going to La Caille since 1983 and it was always an amazing experience. Food has always been good and service spectacular. Wine list was one of the best in the state. It was worth every penny.
It was bought out by a religious guy and it’s is no where near what it used to be. The wine list is gone..he’s just trying to get rid of the LaCaille wine so that is your only choice. I paid $25 for a glass of the Cab...it was not bad but I only got about 1/4 of the glass. Food menu is very limited and desserts are not great. Tables were all black table cloths and wait staff was all wearing black...it was like a funeral. The days of the La Caille experience are gone. I won’t be going back.
the crab cake 'gift' was great & the crème caramel & cheesecake were outstanding. My husband enjoyed his filet mignon. The escargots, lobster fondue and duck were blah. Very disappointing. The setting is lovely and the peacocks are such a fun addition. I doubt we'll return for another meal.
For our first time at La Caille, it was amazing! the food was absolutely delicious.
The service was perfect and the food was excellent. The only complaint I have is that there were two tables next to us that were very loud. I took my daughters for their first fancy dinner since it’s been a really terrible year and I couldn’t talk to them without having to get them to repeat themselves several times. I was very disappointed in that aspect. They were very busy and it didn’t look like there was anywhere quieter that we could have moved to.
It’s still my all time favorite restaurant though I can only afford it every couple of years.
We wanted a place for a business dinner where we could converse, have superb food and impress multiple out of town guests. La Caille did not disappoint on all fronts. Without prompting, our guests indicated the food was outstanding and in a couple of cases, the best they had experienced anywhere for their particular dish. The wait staff was very attentive but not intrusive. The greeting staff made us all feel like they wanted us there and were so glad we chose La Caille. This was a five star experience. Thank you and congratulations on what you have built and how you have trained your staff.
Our waitress was amazing, food was out of this world! Definitely coming back!
Dinner was very nice but compared to other restaurants in the upper end it was not worth the premium we paid. Service as fine up until the end. We had finished our food and our wine and I had to go find someone to run our bill. Frustrating when you are done and have to sit and wait to leave. If the restaurant was busy that would be ok but it was very slow that night.
Beautiful setting and wonderful service. Food was good, but not as good as it should have been for the price. Lobster was very fishy tasting and tough. Hate to say it but the sauces the chef chose actually ruined the flavor of the lobster . Beautiful presentation but it didn’t make up for the terrible taste.
The smoked mushroom appetiser was especially tasty. Highly recommend. And we loved the lobster main course. The overall quality of the experience is on par with some of the best French restaurants we been to.
Great ambiance. Great server
Delicious European inspired menu, romantic ambiance.
It was great experience. The waitress was very friendly and constantly checked up on us.
Ordered their Wagyu beef and it’s super good.
Their foraged mushrooms are the best around the valley!
Will definitely go back for brunches and date nights!
Loved this beautiful place. The drive in was picturesque with lights on the trees. We sat at a table overlooking the vineyards with peacocks ambling in the pathways. Lovely setting. The food was excellently prepared. Loved the option, which we took, to take hope local wine.
Sunday "Brunch" Opens at 10am get reservations. Not really a brunch, you Order from menu average price of breakfast entrée was about $34. Wine flight of 5ea 1oz was $25.
Excellent Service by Sam. Orders came out fast and hot & Tasted Fantastic. Wonderful romantic setting. Take time to walk the grounds. Peacocks are in the yard. Covid distancing practiced, facemasks required till you are seated, and forehead temperatures were taken before seating. Very quiet, intimate and romantic.
This restaurant was one of the finest in The United States- unfortunately they are living on past performance and they are now over priced and under performing.
Nice quiet Sunday brunch with a friend. Excellent food, good company, great service.
Everything was wonderful. My scrambled eggs had been sitting out before I was served and I wished they had been more moist and warmer.....but everything else was excellent with my meal. My partners meal was also very good. He asked for a medium steak and it was more rare than he normally likes.
The croissants and the French Toast was fantastic.
Great friendly service as well.
This was the best romantic dinner my wife and I could have asked for. Excellent food, excellent service, amazing atmosphere. This was my first time here and we will be coming back
Very good. Service was excellent. Atmosphere was wonderful. Would definitely return again.
Beautiful & wonderful restaurant. The service is impeccable. I did find the lobster bisque to be quite salty but otherwise everything was terrific.
Flawless renditions of a variety of classic choices. Beautiful grounds and building. Excellent service. We go skiing at Snowbird 1-2 times a year and have been going here once a year for about 20 years. We always look forward to it and have never been disappointed.
I love going to La Caille. The service is always amazing and the food is even better than the service!
Amazing experience, the food was delicious, and the service was excellent. I loved that they have gluten and lactose free options. I had a magnificent evening.
We went for my wife’s birthday. Food was very very good. Interior of the restaurant could use some freshening/updating, but not tacky. Wine list was ok (would have expected 2-3x the selection), but it is Utah, so it is what it is. Pricing was a bit ambitious, and that’s with us coming from the SF Bay Area, but we would go again as the food was great as was the service. Would recommend for a special occasion.
Wonderful ambiance and perfect for an intimate dinner or work dinner with clients for privacy. Super enjoyable low light atmosphere!
