It was a fun experience, and it is a very fancy romantic setting. The food was not as good as I would have expected for the money.

Our experience at La Caille was magical! My husband and I took my parents there for their 37th Anniversary and we had the best time. The food is expensive but the chef sends you out many tiny surprise snacks in between courses and the quality is so incredible that it’s well worth the price! The staff found out it was my parents anniversary and that my father is terminally ill and they were so kind and surprised us with two free desserts. We will never forget that night!

After many great meals and conversations at La Caille over the years with my special someone I popped the question to her at La Caille. We shared our first magical first kiss in the gardens at La Caille years ago and it was the perfect place to propose to her. The staff, service and food was excellent!
Thank you La Caille!

Our server was fabulous. The food was fabulous. The long narrow driveway approach with its tight entrance off the main road was challenging on a dark, snowy, slippery night but we managed.

Waitress was just ok! Forgot fruit for one guest! Husbands steak just OK! Two guests bacon over cooked and dry! Seemed overpriced based on food and service!

As poor as the service was, it is hard to believe that is was a five-star restaurant. The men’s dishes were served a full five minutes before the women’s, so by the time they were served our food was cold. Silverware was cleared and not replaced. The bartender was acting silly all night and spilled drinks on us.

My husband and I wanted to honor his sweet daughter who passed away a year ago from an accidental drug overdose. Instead of staying home, we decided to celebrate her life by having dinner at the La Caille Restaurant. Not only was the food of high quality, but the staff was there to assist us in any way possible. They were so kind and sensitive to our situation. Thank you for a tender yet wonderful experience.

It was a special occasion for our friends in from Texas. One of them asked if he could get the seafood soup without mussels and was told yes. When he received the dish, it had more mussels in the bowl than the other items. The service was excellent. You just need to be more cognant about your meals and what is a change in a dish going forward if requested by the customer. He ended up not eating much of the dish

Worst service ever.
Cocktails and forst course arrived timely. Then, after fifteen minutes, we were presented with the desert menu. We were a bit surprised, but figured they needed time to prepare. After declining, we were presented with the check. Shocked, I informed the waitress we had not received our main course. After giving us a blank look, she said she had make a mistake and it would be right along. We asked about the status 30 minutes later and she said it was coming. After another 15 minutes, she said the chef had to make the risotto (which we know takes 20 minutes). It was clear that the order had not been put in and we were being misled. After 2 hours in the restaurant, we left. No dinner, no pay. God bless the manager, he ran to the car with a gift certificate. Never again!

Amazing simply amazing, I throughly enjoyed my experience! Food was great, very classy and high end. The staff were extremely professional. A bit on the expensive side, but worth every penny. They have a gorgeous view of the grounds and encourage you to explore the grounds. This place is almost magical, like something from a fairytale. Definitely worth experiencing.

Went for dinner, the place was fabulous, the food was spectacular. Just note this is a fine dining restaurant so prices are high. The wine list was amazing. I highly recommend La Caille as a special event or romantic evening date night.

We went to La Caille for brunch to celebrate a college graduation and everything was perfect. The food was excellent and the service was impeccable. They made recommendations for those who don't eat meat that met their needs and prepared egg whites for one of our party upon request. We highly recommend La Caille for celebrations and for a nice break from "regular" restaurants.

Beautiful atmosphere. Fantastic service. Great dining experience. La Caille was always the "super fancy" restaurant when I was growing up down the street. Reserved for Prom, Weddings, Anniversaries, etc. But Dan and I have decided it should be a regular event from here on out!

We were disappointed in the customer who complained about the smoke of the special firecracker display on various dessert/occasions. We were being punished with no firework due to their nasty request, they should have gone elsewhere forthoermeal and not ruin our or anyone else’s evening.

We've had great meals in the past at LaCaille, but this meal was peculiar. Our waiter dusappeared for 15 to 20 minutes at a time. The lobster was tough and overcooked. My gluten-free bread was hard, dried out and could not be cut with a knife. The dessert offerings were ice cream or creme brulee, or a fruit bread, meaning no pastries and no chocolate desserts. We can eat vanilla ice cream anywhere, we were looking forward to great pastry.

We enjoyed the ambience but would look at recent reviews before we made reservations again. And the dessert menu.

We had been to La Caille once before and had a wonderful experience. Our daughter requested La Caille for a special birthday dinner. We were so disappointed! Our server told us she was "on our time", but that turned out to be false. There were 5 in our party, and 4 of us, not including the birthday girl, got our dinner. We waited and waited for her dinner. Finally, after about 10 minutes, we called our server over and she apologized and brought out some fruit for her. Eventually the manager brought out her dinner and said there was no excuse. The food just wasn't good - any of it. It wasn't as described in the menu and we were all disappointed. We all had empty drinks at some point and just didn't get the service we expected. Although they did take a significant amount off the bill, the 2.5 hour (!) experience was one we do not recommend.

Have been to this restaurant on numerous occasions. Fixed menu was not up to past occasions.
Chateaubriand was brought out a good five to ten minutes before the vegetables and was slightly warm at best.
Waitress was good, other service average.

I've been a regular at La Caille for many years. You will be hard pressed to find a better combination of ambiance, service and food in Utah, let alone the Western US. The food is moderately overpriced. The wine menu is above average for Utah and certain of their house wines are worth sampling.

disappointed that no where on their website did they say that the Christmas eve dinner was a single menu @ $145.00. per pers.
the menu was OK. but we felt pressured by the waitress to order the minute we arrived but we wanted to enjoy our first glass of wine. then when we ordered, suddenly the appetizers of cheese and shrimp and the first course came at the same time. while it would have been nice to enjoy the cheese first with our wine, then the first course (soup was lukewarm- salad had one pecan in it), then we had to wait for the main course. Meanwhile, the dining room started to empty and no one else came after. only when we left, we encountered 2 cars going up the driveway.
The place is beautiful and for Christmas it was magical.
We will try Easter brunch and if it is not a 10, that will be the last time.

When reservation were made the menu was different. I had checked the menu several times prior to arriving at the restaurant because one of my kids is a picky eater. It was not until Christmas Eve that I saw the posting of menu for that night. We would have cancelled the reservation but we would have ended up with the cancellation fee. Maybe notice from the site of the special menu for night or even from the LaCaille site that there is a special menu for the evening. Nice restaurant and interesting experience but I would say the food was not worth the $. The servers seemed confused with the courses and kept removing the plates or bringing the food at the wrong time, at least that is what the waitress informed us.
