La Caille is Utah's premier luxury dining experience. Located on 20 acres of Salt Lake's most coveted Little Cottonwood Canyon property, La Caille's grounds offer breathtaking views, manicured gardens, canyon rivers, lush vineyards, winding brick lanes and authentic French decor. La Caille itself is housed in an 18th century French-inspired Chateau. Guests dine in one of three unique dining rooms and, during summer months, on one of our three spectacular patios.     Always great food and ambiance. We were 10 and they placed us in our own room which was lovely, especially having children with us. Great children's menu. The outdoors is gorgeous this time of year.

    So good. The Peppercorn Bacon is a must, just for the presentation alone, and yes, it’s delicious. Amazing atmosphere, and our server, Tailer, was excellent.

    It was an experience to be in La Caille, the place is simply beautiful wherever you see it, seeing swans and peacocks so closely is wonderful; about brunch they brought us complimentary the most delicious glazed croissants we have eaten, then we ordered a mocktail cherry blossom which could be a little less sweet and an affogato that was not bad but I do not recommend it, from entrees we ordered a hamburger which was spectacular, meat at point, thick and crispy bacon; also some eggs Benedict in which my only suggestion is that the muffin could be toasted less because was a little difficult to cut it; both dishes accompanied by perfectly cooked and seasoned potatoes.

    Our waitress Julia was amazing! She had so much knowledge about the beautiful location this restaurant is in. I wish I’d had more time to walk around and enjoy the beautiful grounds. Peacocks were hilarious. Flowers were gorgeous everywhere. Staff was extremely kind.

    Perhaps the most charming location in North America; certainly the best in Salt Lake City. But that was all. In a restaurant that presumes to be high-end, waiters need to be friendly, but not familiar, and have a bit of class. Our waiter would be propriate for an Irish Pub or ordinary American food venue. Ours had no finesse. He was perfunctory. He was not helpful. I wanted some elegance and didn't get it. The food was less than ordinary. The scallop risotto was ordinary. The scallops were perfectly cooked. The risotto was tasteless. The duck breast "confit", was tough and badly done. It definitely was not "confit". It was not slow cooked and tender. Also flavorless. Food came out in less than 20 minutes, demonstrating no care in preparation. The only good thing was the amazing lobster bisque. THAT was great. A restaurant like this should have an extensive wine list of wines that are well rated. The only well rated wines on this list cost $500 and up to $2,000. The wine list was sparse and prosaic and uninteresting. My companion and I were celebrating our 10th Anniversary. La Caille asked if we were celebrating anything, and we told them. This is the ONLY restaurant I have ever been to that did not offer a celebratory recognition, like a special dessert, or something that said "happy anniversary". Nope. Nothing. I may go back for a drink to enjoy the ambiance, but will never be back for dinner.
