We love the restaurant. A real family italian with wonderful food. I love the bolognese and the gnocchi pesto. Warm, inviting and friendly.
If I could give more than 5 stars I would. It is hands down the best, cutest, most romantic, Italian restaurant. My girlfriend and I found this place by accident and thank God for that because we go back to celebrate every chance we get. You gotta try it and get the SURPRESA dessert.
Best Italian on the west side. Angelo is the best!
A lovely evening under the stars. Tables well spaced and people were friendly eager to chat with other diners. We appreciate having an opportunity to dine in such lovely atmosphere.
The food was marginal, I had Chicken Piccata, which was a bit bland served with broccoli that was way overcooked. I have had better meals there but the service was great as always.
They're doing their best in light of Covid. Outdoor seating adjacent to the restaurant is nicely done and pleasant. Service was great and food delicious. Tiramisu could have been a little better, but great overall.
Outstanding service and food. I have enjoyed every meal I have ever had at La Bruschetta over the last 30+ years. I first came here as a student at UCLA with my parents in the late 80s and now I’m lucky to be back in the area often with my daughter attending UCLA. Wonderful family run restaurant and I look forward to dining here and seeing Angelo and Jonathan again soon!
It was outstanding, especially considering the newly created space. Outdoors with heater and warm and friendly service.
We have dined at this restaurant before and I’ve always enjoyed the opportunity to dine indoors. Because of the pandemic only outdoor seating is available in a makeshift area adjacent to the building where the restaurant is located. Although the exterior is not as attractive as the interior of the restaurant is the owners have done the best they can to create a pleasant atmosphere outdoors and the fact of the matter is that the food comes right out from the kitchen piping hot and uniformly delicious. The servers and service is spot on. Full and careful attention is paid to all of the requirements for safe service in these challenging times and the prices for the food are quite reasonable. Parking is abundant on the street in front of the restaurant and reservations are accepted. They also have a lovely wine list and a nice selection of dessert offerings. With temperatures hovering in the mid 90s where we live it was a pleasure to drive into Westwood with virtually no traffic on the freeway and enjoy dinner outdoors in the 70s rather than sweltering in the San Fernando Valley in the 90s.
Nice job in adapting to covid. outdoor set up was quiet, spaced, shaded for early diners. we enjoyed the food and the service was excellent.
Excellent Italian food in a comfortable atmosphere. Nice outside dining. Family run.
The food is ALWAYS good! The service is ALWAYS good! Even with a full house, the noise level is low enough to easily allow table conversation for all. Just writing this about our last meal makes my mouth water!
When we arrived they did not have our Open Table reservation, however the owner accomodated us even though the restaurant was completedly booked. The rest of the evening was perfect!
Angelo runs a great restaurant. Great food, great service, and it's quiet enough to carry on a conversation.
This is an authentic Italian Restaurant. The owner, Angelo, greets everyone and is attentive to each customer. The menu features a number of sea food entrees. The food is excellent.
It’s a very nice privately run dining experience. Great for special occasions, but a bit pricey for an everyday dining experience, which is more of what we needed before the theater. Two fresh fish entrees, soups, and a shared dessert (no wine, beer or beverages) should not cost what we paid based on similar dining experiences closer to our home. I’d say comparable food in terms of quality and quantity with similar ambiance and plenty of free parking costs us about 30% less. Maybe it’s because we ordered the “specials” for which prices were not shown on the menu (and we didn’t inquire). The regular menu prices seemed generally in line. But these “specials” were much like items we see locally on the regular menu.
A little pricey for lunch
Everything was fantastic! We had the artichoke ravioli special as an appetizer and the carpaccio. My husband loved the eggplant lasagna while u had the 4 cheese gnocchi...delish. My daughter had the burrata appetizer as her entree and loved it. We topped it off with the chocolate bomb which they drizzle warm syrup over and it melts down...incredible. We told our waiter it was our first time there and he brought us a complimentary tiramisu. In the end the owner came over and had a nice chat with us. We will definitely be back!
The food is authentic Italian. The ambience is warm and friendly. Don't miss this restaurant. Good place to visit with friends.
Dinner with friends. It was their first time at this restaurant. They loved it!
Food, service, ambience...everything was perfect!
The food, the service, the ambience as always was great.
We loved it.
Great experience! Staff was inviting and courteous. The owner checked in on us through out the experience, even filling our glasses and walking my party out when we exited. Great place, chat over good food with friends - a great birthday (deserts were amazing!) Would recommend!
As you walk in you are greeted as if they are so happy to see you and have a great evening planned just for you. And they follow through with great food and wine and a wonderful wait staff. It is truly our favorite go to place to be pampered.
It was a great experience.
Wonderful food, service and wine. Love this place!
I ordered chicken Marsala which was delicious. My date ordered the barata salad with chicken. The salad itself was weak and the chicken dry. Essentially it was a plate of cheese. I tried to bring it to the owner’s attention but he just wanted to argue with me about the salad being perfect. Compare that to via Alito where I didn’t like the entre and they couldn’t be more accommodating.
Aside from that, the restaurant is small and enjoyable.
Great dinner. Rigatoni with turkey bolognese was the best.
Always excellent !
excellent - as always. Great food and service in a quiet room
We love this restaurant! The food is delicious and the owner and wait staff already remembers us after just a few visits! That’s always a nice feeling to be greeting with a friendly hello and “welcome back”!
We had our usual lovely evening with Angelo and our dining companions. La Bruscetta never disappoints.
You let a couple with a dog into your establishment. You placed that couple at a table next to us. I am allergic to the creatures and did not appreciate that on an evening out I had to deal with this.
Nice ambiance, good service. Owner asked us about food and services!
Magnificent food, magnificent staff - that just about covers it.
The food and service were excellent, as usual. The room is a little dated, but comfortable and quiet enough to have a conversation without having to yell — a rarity in Los Angeles. Recommend highly if you prefer quality to trendiness.
We have been going to La Bruschetta for 25 years!
It’s our favorite neighborhood Italian restaurant!
Just amazing experience!
Service was warm and friendly. The carpaccio was tender and flavorful. The barramundi was cooked to perfection and the sauce was delicious. The creme brûlée was perfect. Can't say enough lovely things about this place. A neighborhood gem.
La Bruschetta offers a typical Italian menu. Two friends and I dined there on a recent Saturday night. all diners seemed to have a 7:00 p.m. reservation and no one came in for a second seating. The food we ordered was decent, but not hot. The service was satisfactory. Unfortunately, the place is dark and olf-fashioned and needs some updating.
