Wonderful experience as always. Michele was incredible, and the food was to die for as always.
It was very tasty! I loved the ambiance, the staff, and the food!
My husband and I were on our first date night since LA began to reopen. Unfortunately, we did not feel like the set up was safe. The alley is narrow and due to a lot of foot traffic, we felt like we had to keep our masks on practically the whole time. There was a large party of 10+ people at the table next to us and altogether, the evening there was disappointing.
Being from Rome, I have high standards of authentic Italian cucina. La Bruschetta is top notch, just like good homemade Italian food in Italy. Angelo and Michele made us feel at home, like family. We are new to the neighborhood but can already tell that this will be our go to for incredible Italian dining. Can’t wait to go back!
Quaint, authentic Italian. A hidden gem in Westwood - highly recommended. Outdoor seating is in between the buildings away from the road and not on the sidewalk. Excellent setup.
Food and service were excellent. They’ve done a fantastic job considering having to serve outdoor...Quality of the food has never changed..
Great service and food. Very safe environment. Will definitely go back soon for dinner.
One of the best Italian restaurants I’ve dined at in LA. Family owned and operated, everything on the menu is outstanding.
Excellent service, wonderful ambience. Food was great.
Wonderful experience, delicious food, and great family owned restaurant. #HIDDENGEM
Dinner outside was lovely. We have been here many times and the food is always good. Service is friendly and professional. A real gem in Westwood and a good value.
Wonderful neighborhood restaurant which is making the best of the current challenges. We want to support their effort and hope they can keep up until we can do indoor dining.
Please support them.
Excellent food and service outdoors . Friendly and obliging owner. Delicious risotto with shrimp, lobster and linguini.
We love the restaurant. A real family italian with wonderful food. I love the bolognese and the gnocchi pesto. Warm, inviting and friendly.
If I could give more than 5 stars I would. It is hands down the best, cutest, most romantic, Italian restaurant. My girlfriend and I found this place by accident and thank God for that because we go back to celebrate every chance we get. You gotta try it and get the SURPRESA dessert.
Best Italian on the west side. Angelo is the best!
A lovely evening under the stars. Tables well spaced and people were friendly eager to chat with other diners. We appreciate having an opportunity to dine in such lovely atmosphere.
The food was marginal, I had Chicken Piccata, which was a bit bland served with broccoli that was way overcooked. I have had better meals there but the service was great as always.
They're doing their best in light of Covid. Outdoor seating adjacent to the restaurant is nicely done and pleasant. Service was great and food delicious. Tiramisu could have been a little better, but great overall.
Outstanding service and food. I have enjoyed every meal I have ever had at La Bruschetta over the last 30+ years. I first came here as a student at UCLA with my parents in the late 80s and now I’m lucky to be back in the area often with my daughter attending UCLA. Wonderful family run restaurant and I look forward to dining here and seeing Angelo and Jonathan again soon!
It was outstanding, especially considering the newly created space. Outdoors with heater and warm and friendly service.
We have dined at this restaurant before and I’ve always enjoyed the opportunity to dine indoors. Because of the pandemic only outdoor seating is available in a makeshift area adjacent to the building where the restaurant is located. Although the exterior is not as attractive as the interior of the restaurant is the owners have done the best they can to create a pleasant atmosphere outdoors and the fact of the matter is that the food comes right out from the kitchen piping hot and uniformly delicious. The servers and service is spot on. Full and careful attention is paid to all of the requirements for safe service in these challenging times and the prices for the food are quite reasonable. Parking is abundant on the street in front of the restaurant and reservations are accepted. They also have a lovely wine list and a nice selection of dessert offerings. With temperatures hovering in the mid 90s where we live it was a pleasure to drive into Westwood with virtually no traffic on the freeway and enjoy dinner outdoors in the 70s rather than sweltering in the San Fernando Valley in the 90s.
Nice job in adapting to covid. outdoor set up was quiet, spaced, shaded for early diners. we enjoyed the food and the service was excellent.
Excellent Italian food in a comfortable atmosphere. Nice outside dining. Family run.
The food is ALWAYS good! The service is ALWAYS good! Even with a full house, the noise level is low enough to easily allow table conversation for all. Just writing this about our last meal makes my mouth water!
When we arrived they did not have our Open Table reservation, however the owner accomodated us even though the restaurant was completedly booked. The rest of the evening was perfect!
Angelo runs a great restaurant. Great food, great service, and it's quiet enough to carry on a conversation.
This is an authentic Italian Restaurant. The owner, Angelo, greets everyone and is attentive to each customer. The menu features a number of sea food entrees. The food is excellent.
It’s a very nice privately run dining experience. Great for special occasions, but a bit pricey for an everyday dining experience, which is more of what we needed before the theater. Two fresh fish entrees, soups, and a shared dessert (no wine, beer or beverages) should not cost what we paid based on similar dining experiences closer to our home. I’d say comparable food in terms of quality and quantity with similar ambiance and plenty of free parking costs us about 30% less. Maybe it’s because we ordered the “specials” for which prices were not shown on the menu (and we didn’t inquire). The regular menu prices seemed generally in line. But these “specials” were much like items we see locally on the regular menu.
A little pricey for lunch
Everything was fantastic! We had the artichoke ravioli special as an appetizer and the carpaccio. My husband loved the eggplant lasagna while u had the 4 cheese gnocchi...delish. My daughter had the burrata appetizer as her entree and loved it. We topped it off with the chocolate bomb which they drizzle warm syrup over and it melts down...incredible. We told our waiter it was our first time there and he brought us a complimentary tiramisu. In the end the owner came over and had a nice chat with us. We will definitely be back!
The food is authentic Italian. The ambience is warm and friendly. Don't miss this restaurant. Good place to visit with friends.
Dinner with friends. It was their first time at this restaurant. They loved it!
Food, service, ambience...everything was perfect!
The food, the service, the ambience as always was great.
We loved it.
Great experience! Staff was inviting and courteous. The owner checked in on us through out the experience, even filling our glasses and walking my party out when we exited. Great place, chat over good food with friends - a great birthday (deserts were amazing!) Would recommend!
As you walk in you are greeted as if they are so happy to see you and have a great evening planned just for you. And they follow through with great food and wine and a wonderful wait staff. It is truly our favorite go to place to be pampered.
It was a great experience.
Wonderful food, service and wine. Love this place!
I ordered chicken Marsala which was delicious. My date ordered the barata salad with chicken. The salad itself was weak and the chicken dry. Essentially it was a plate of cheese. I tried to bring it to the owner’s attention but he just wanted to argue with me about the salad being perfect. Compare that to via Alito where I didn’t like the entre and they couldn’t be more accommodating.
Aside from that, the restaurant is small and enjoyable.
