La Bruschetta - Westwood
One of my all time favorite Italian restaurants. Wonderful service and was quiet enough to have a conversation without shouting and competing with background noise. All of the food was excellent with the exception of the barramundi fish we ordered. We were not familiar with the fish and didn't care for the it. All of the other entrees I've had in the past were much better. We will definitely be back.
For the last 35 years this restaurant has been serving superb meals in Los Angeles, and probably today the best Italian food in the city. It doesn't get any better.
My 16-year old son were in LA for art and theater and needed to find a place for an early dinner between a day at the Getty and a concert at UCLA that evening. I found Bruschetta online and (obviously) made my reservation online. We got there a little early and discovered that it's right next door to the awesome Westwood Music store, where we not only tried out some great guitars, but also got the owners personal recommendation about Bruschetta--local, family-run, awesome food. Dead on in very area.
Service at Bruschetta was quick and very warm, as we were greeted by the owner's son and seated immediately. We told them we had to make a concert and service was both impeccable and really, really fast. There was essentially no waiting between our appetizer course (mixed greens) and our mains--carbonara and a seafood/saffron risotto. Still, we did have time to watch as the owner and staff welcomed several other early diners, mostly locals it seemed, including a big table of an extended family. It wasn't crowded, but still, the balance of attentiveness and letting us eat was just right, and it was a really relaxed and comfortable place to have a very good meal. We will come back for sure next time we're in LA.
A real sleeper. an unpretentious top flight Italian restaurant, in business for 35 years, with waiters who have been there the entire time. The food and warmth of the restaurant cannot be beat.
Great food and service. Very nice interior and ambience.
Food is ok, but not worth the price. You can find better price plus food place in Westwood. Service is average, the waiters kicked my chair multiple times when they walked behind me.
Awesome food and service. Will be going more often.
La Bruschetta is a consistently very good neighborhood restaurant.
Food was so delicious. The Chianti house
Wine was perfect. The owner, Angelo, made us feel like guest in his lovely home.
It's comparable to going to a great Uncle's house for a looked forward to meal. Always friendly and comfortable and great food you can depend on to be consistent and delicious!
Absolutely Fantastic! Service and food was beyond expectations for our first of many visits.
The food is impeccable - truly authentic italian cuisine with a sophisticated wine list. The waiters are professional- the food is and the owners are wonderful. Resos are needed as this place is filled with sophisticated diners who are regulars.
What’s wonderful about La Bruschetta after 30 years of dining there is that is a low key Wrdtwood location. without the glare and noise of a Hollywood eatery.
My food was delicious! My husband and son also thought their food was great. There was a quiet ambience and we could talk to each other easily. The waiters were also very attentive and helpful.
I would definitely return for another relaxed, wonderful meal.
A wonderful experience for dinner. The staff was amazing and the food was absolutely delicious. So good I went back the next night with more friends. I will definitely done there whenever I am in Westwood. Highly recommend this restaurant for authentic Italian food.
Loved it, we will be back. Great atmosphere and wonderful warm reception from owner. Also great food.
I will be bringing many friends to this wonderful restaurant. It's very elegant and the food is truly Italian home cooking. Marilyn
I am not sure how to mark noise level. It was just right! We could hear each other and the nice music!
Fantastic all across the board. One of the best dining experiences that I have had in memory. The food was amazing. All of the servers were incredibly attentive. Even though the restauraunt was full (as it should be!) somehow the layout created a very quiet and private vibe. The prices are very reasonable for the level of quality that one gets from eating here. I can't wait to go back! Thank you for making my Valentines day one to remember.
My daughter and I celebrated an early Valentines Day at La Bruschetta. We were welcomed by Angelo the owner. Our meal was delicious. The waiter was attentive and friendly. We look forward to coming back soon.
The experience was fantastic, as always.
Great diiner. Food excellent. Great atmosphere. Enjoyed the wine great rcommendation.
Been going every Friday for 10 years...only place in West Los Angeles where the food is dependably good, the atmosphere is pleasant, you can have a conversation, and the service is truly outstanding. Angelo and his son are wonderful hosts. Waiters are professionals.
Always love our dinners at La Bruschetta. Great neighborhood gem
Our party of three enjoyed a total of two glasses of wine to start the evening off. Two puree of vegetable soup were excellent. The Cacio Pepe pasta was also very good. I had the lasagna which was mediocre as was the bruschetta that they serve to start the evening off. Their bread is good. Our friend seemed to enjoy her appetizer size of mussels. We had one crème brulee that was delicious. The owner is always most hospitable and his son, Robert, did a good job as our waiter. No complaints on the level of service. Cost for the three of us was $137.00 including tip.
The best Italian restaurant I've ever been to. Amazing food, service, and atmosphere.
Warm and feels and tastes like home cooked Italian!
Excellent service and very good food. Thoroughly enjoyable evening.
The food was if slightly better than average quality or a restaurant with such a long history. I expected better frankly.
Love going to La Bruschetta. The food, service and dining experience are all excellent. The owner and staff always make us feel so welcome.
Great restaurant with excellent food, wonderful attentive and knowledgable waiters, very sociable, friendly owner - nice room, quiet - a place you will be very happy you found and you will want to return to again and again
Excellent food but wish they had cocktails. We had to go up the street before dinner since we were early.☹️☹️
This is one of our favorites in LA.
The staff treats you like a close friend. My mother was born in Sicily and I grew up with traditional italian meals. The food at la Bruschetta reminds me of the home cooking of my mother and grandmother. It is fantastic.
We always love it there. Great food, wonderful service, very comfortable and we can hear ourselves talk.
Wonderful little restaurant with tasty Italian cuisine and great atmosphere!
Our favorite go to neighborhood restaurant never dissapoints
