   Our meals here are always top of the line. We shared moules and truffle frites for an appetizer and they were perfectly cooked and delicious. I wish I knew the secret of their sauce. My husband had his “go to” dish, bouillabaisse, which featured the usual fish and shellfish with extra large clams - unusual and flavorful. My rainbow trout special with couscous and French beans was perfect. The service is always knowledgeable and friendly. La Brass is always amongst our first choices for dining out. Highly recommended.

   This is our go-to restaurant in Vancouver. The food is always perfectly cooked, tasty and reliable. Our preference is for sea food so the moules and frites is an oft-chosen appetiser. As for main courses, the fish is never overdone. My personal preference is for the bouillabaise, which I think is not only the best in town, but the best anywhere. The wine offerings are not extensive but solid, and suites our tastes just fine. The waiters are efficient and friendly. The prices are below average for haute cuisine. Why doesn't everyone eat there??!!

   Food was good. Good quantities. And good flavor. But the raclette Brie is just melted Brie - no raclette involved. Not that impressive as easy to make at home. Still good but needs a different name - Should be served with more bread. The mussels were very good. As were the other seafood choices. Service was good but she was obviously still learning. Another 6 months and I’m sure she’ll be much better. Lovely young lady.

   We have been to La Brass many times, and really enjoy the new lunch menu. Service is attentive, accomodating and efficient. We like the neighborhood atmosphere as well. We will return! Thank you:)

   Very pleasant and friendly atmosphere. The food was delicious and portions were large. The waitress gave us excellent suggestions for appetizers and entree. We go to La Brass often and are never disappointed - there is not a huge variety of items on menu and I usually have the halibut which is nicely presented.

   Food quality and service are both excellent, but the portions are tiny. Therefore I consider the restaurant overpriced.

    We reserved early as we had a concert at UBC. Starters came promptly but then waited 40 minutes for main course which we had to inhale because we would be late for our show. The beef pasta dish was much too strong with the pasta over cooked. When reminding waiter of our show she said that all orders in restaurant were taken at the same time therefore the delay. Generally people eat dinner at ‘dinner’ time and if restaurant cannot do this why are they in business. This is a stark contrast to restaurant predecessor Provence. Hire a better chef and more staff. We will not be returning under present management.
