Dinner Saturday 5:00pm- 9:00pm
First, let me say, the food was outstanding. However, when we arrived at 5:30 PM, we were seated in what felt like below freezing temperatures. We asked to be moved and was accommodated. The music was way too loud! We could barely hear each other and hold a decent conversation. We were about to leave, but someone turned down the music just in time, so we stayed and enjoyed a wonderful meal.
The pisco sour drinks were better than in Chile. Appetizers & dinner were very flavorful. Enjoyed ourselves & the overall atmosphere was fun.
Ambiance is fun and food is always on point. Lomo soltado is a must if you haven’t tried it yet. My favorite spot in OKC.
LaBrasa is such a nice place for a cool date nite out on the town. Expertly crafted cocktails and KILLER white queso and quac, with delicious fresh made tortilla strips.
Wife had the really delicious pollo mac and i had the deconstructed chicken tamale with a couple sides. Over all, the food is very tasty, but the tamale became a bit 1-note after the really delicious crema was gone. If I'd had a bit more acidic side and just overall more flavor punch in the items i chose, it would have been a knockout. I've had the seafood paella (actually, it's way more of a risotto-esque seafood dish, as it's not crisped rice in a true paella pan) and the lomo saltado in the past. both are really nice.
we've been dining at LaBrasa for several years, and it's always a very nice evening. i wouldn't hesitate to take out of town friends and fam, as a showcase of the hipper foodier side of OKC.
Great vibe, but very loud. Food was delicious as was the drink. I was shocked at how quickly the food was delivered after ordering.
i felt that we were being rushed. couldn't enjoy the conversations because servers were coming all the time removing plates that clearly we were still working on the food. did not clear table before bring the dessert.
waiter forgot to bring the coffee with the dessert.
Great atmosphere and drinks. The food was delicious per usual. Our service was horrible. The food came out fairly quickly but cocktails took forever and we rarely saw our server. Rather than apologizing for a drink taking 20 minutes from the bar, our server made excuses and made us feel bad for asking! The first time I went to La Brasa with a large group I was really pleased with service and speed at getting our cocktails and entrees.
I have been here probably 6 times. It’s always good. If you haven’t been in the last 9-12 months, you need to go again. There’s more seating, decor and atmosphere are better and the staff is very good.
We love La Brasa - always have a great experience and Johnathon is the BEST server!
Must have the chicken and get the side of ricoto hot sauce. Gf enjoyed the paella
Second time going and it was even better this time!
We had a great time on our date. Highly recommended!!
Fantastic food, service and ambiance! A true getaway in the heart of the city!
Incredible first experience, and probably the best food I’ve ever had. My girlfriend and I attended, it was 80s night, the servers were punctual and polite, and very knowledgeable about their menu. The owner came by and spoke to us personally and shook our hands, and made sure that we felt at home. The fish and chicken my girlfriend and I shared were perfectly seasoned, and succulent. I would come here every night if I could if it were not for the price, but boy is it worth it.
We came to see a show and eat dinner. The music was so loud between the show that we couldn’t talk to each-other without shouting or speaking right into eachother’s ear. We were seated at a large table in a nook with only a blue fluorescent lighting the back mural. We are in our 20s-30s and we needed our phone flashlights to read the menus. Half of our party left early without ordering meals because the drinks took an excessive amount of time to arrive.
The show was great and we were able to move our chairs out of the table nook to see it. The food was perfect and delicious. Although any type of beverage order took very long, food was not a long wait as kitchen staff brought it out. I would recommend the food at La Brasa to anyone if it weren’t for the terrible weekend dinner ambiance.
James Vu and staff are amazing great drinks and even better food!! I’m telling everyone to go there!!
This is the best restaurant in OKC. Flavor bursting exposion. Awesome atmosphere.
Been to LaBrasa several times...always enjoyed the experience.
On Saturday July 28th a group of 6 of us went for a nice dinner. Everything went well...had a good server, but it was clear our table was an afterthought to him. Meal was delicious but attentiveness was lacking...he had to reminded on more than one occasion of something we needed.
Near the end of the evening we noticed they were transforming the place into a dance club...Salsa I believe. So after I tabbed out (over $400) I asked if we could have a drink and hang out...we were told absolutely...we ordered. Drinks never showed up. Never. I asked 3 different people about our drinks...nothing. I get that they were switching things up...but I didn’t think that taking care of a simple request was going to be impossible.
If I could get the delicious food and better service...I’d go back all the time. But, based on the way the night ended...at this point it’s doubtful if I will ever go back. There’s simply too many good restaurants in OKC competing for my dining dollar.
Great ambiance! I had the steak and chicken and it was great. Nice place for a group of friends or date.
Really great menu. Wonderful selection and quality. Btw I don’t write reviews often, this place is really good
Amazing dinner! Wonderful waiter that really helped us navigate the menu. One of the best meals we have had in okc!
Great food! Went with five friends and everyone loved what they ordered. Music was quite loud and strobe lights were a little annoying, but I could see how this would be fun on the weekends. Service was awesome too! Will return to try other menu items
Two couples were out for the evening. Did not know where to go for dinner. We searched online and the reviews were excellent. We tried it and really enjoyed it. Great atmosphere and food.
What a pleasurable experience! My wife and I decided to come for a date night. The sea bass was perfect, wine pairing was spot on, Pisco sour was delicious. Best of all, the service was amazing! From our waiter to the 3-4 people who stopped to ensure we had a great time, the service was spot on. It didn’t hurt that the strawberry cake was out of this world. We will be back!!!
It was our first time there we all loved it and plan to go back.
Great food! Great service!
Was a great time, hidden gem inside okc that I think deserves to be on south beach.
We have eaten here several times and have always enjoyed it. This was one of those times that made us say we will never go back. We were seated promptly at 7 pm and were not even checked on till 7:13. The waitress was friendly but she seemed pre occupied and our food was served to each guest over a span of 5 min. So while we waited on everyone to be served others food cooled down. We were never offered dessert we were just brought our checks. It took 20 min for them to even return our credit cards so we could leave. While waiting the place turned into a night club setting with the DJ blasting the music so loud you couldn’t even talk to the person next to you. We were finally able to leave at 8:45. After signing our checks. I think an hour and forty five min is a bit long for a table of 4
Wonderful food, drinks, and service!
Overall very good to excellent. Met the chef. Good time to be there at 630. Food was great. For Peruvian need guinea pig ! Need more kid-friendly options though.
We love this place , the best sea bass we've ever tasted !!
Tacu Tacu best dish in Okc
Great food. Great atmosphere
So sorry to say but service was horrible. No one came to even ask if i wanted a drink for 30 min. Once she came we ordered and the food was amazing. Chicken was to die for and corn, I could eat it everyday. I ordered a drink at end of meal and she never brought it. So sad service was so poor because food is so good.
Everything was great!! The only hiccup was our table itself. It was super wobbly to the point that no one could put arms on th table without causing it to tilt back and forth. Other than that, we loved it and will definitely go back!!
Chilean Sea Bass was delicious along w the Korean Beef Tacos.
Definitely a happening spot later in the evening!
Cerviche is the best. Try sampler. Also chicken is awesome.
We should have done more research before eating here because the "clubstaurant" concept is not something of which we're interested. The food was mostly quite good, however, the paella tasted like the seabass had just turned. Not enough to make one sick, but not very tasty. Everything else was good. The service was excellent, however, we did ask to have the club music turned down a few times, and after the third time the manager/owner came out and passive aggressively acquiesced to our request. We get it. Your concept is "clubstaurant," so turning down the music was contrary to your super cutting-edge concept. That didn't give you license to condescend. This is OKC, not NYC, save the attitude for someone who might be impressed. In the end, we're not your customers, and that's fine. No hard feelings.
So, from being Greeted to the end of our meal I give this place a A+. The setting was nice and smooth, our waiter was Very knowledgeable bout the drink menu along with the food. My wife even took a drink he recommended, and Loved it. Now I’m stuck trying to mimic it. Lol. Then there’s the food, me being a Chef myself I TOTALLY tip my hat to the Executive Chef here. The blend of different cultures of food and spices is Incredible!!!!! I will definitely have to bring some friends back and try this again, and again.
I have to Thank DJ LYFE for recommending this place.
