Very nice ambiance- good background music, nice skyline views,m & good seating options. I enjoy the New York strip w/ truffle Bernaise and a Delicious peach daquiri cocktail.
Service was very slow
Exquisite service and food presentation.
We enjoy the desserts!
Fabulous location and setting. Way to expensive for what it is - having spent shy of $1800 for party of 5 and two boys - I thought it was too much to be charged $100 corkage fee
Great service, food was absolutely amazing, the server explained the menu and was more than helpful, and the LA scene gets no better!
Was a little disappointed at first with the ambiance but within minutes changed my mind. Beautiful simple design with nice views from all dining areas. Noise level was perfect to have conversations.
frankly underwhelming and way overpriced. the decor leaves much to be desired. I guess they gambled on having the view at that elevation but it's not enough to create an impression. the food was... interesting, as the French say, which isn't necessarily very positive. oysters mixed with salmon roe... ok. not great. escargot on bone marrow... just not fantastic for the price. $42 for my vieux carré. wow
The Service was awesome , the food was good
But not great I expected a little more but all in all was a good experience, thank you for making my anniversary special
We celebrated my boyfriend's 30th here. This was our first time. Food was well seasoned. My filet mignon was cooked the way I requested. My boyfriend enjoyed the King Salmon as well. Make sure to request a table by the window so you can enjoy the amazing view of the city. That was only thing I wish I had known/requested in advance.
We are visiting from out of state & decided that we would love to finally try a Tomahawk steak since we are on vacation & because this place seemed like an appropriate place to do so. We had been looking at the menu for weeks prior to our arrival & were thrilled to get a reservation at the spur of the moment. Everything seemed to be going well, until they told us they had “sold their last tomahawk”. Which doesn’t make sense for a steakhouse on a Friday night. Our other options given to us were a Ribeye & a filet, which honestly you can get anywhere and ended up technically costing a little more. We were wanting this trip to be something special, & it kind of disappointed us for the rest of the night. Our server, Cory, was amazing and did whatever she could do, & we did not feel it was appropriate for her to have to be the one to ruin the mood of our whole meal. It would’ve made more sense if it was the chef or the manager.
For a table of 7, having our steaks served hot when they cost $45/ounce should not be too much to ask - but they were borderline cold. I'm guessing there was an issue in the kitchen because our dinner was very delayed, and I wouldn't say that the restaurant was packed by any means, however if there was an issue they never informed us of it. Service was slow to serve our table but running around. For the amount of money this dinner cost, the food was NOT up to par by any means.. it was actually rather disappointing and myself nor any of the other 6 gentlemen in my party would return or recommend this restaurant. I very much wanted to enjoy every bite taken and dollar spent but we were all very disappointed once leaving the table.
Excellent ambiance and good but outrageously expensive.
Overpriced place.... service is not level up as other places in that level.
Server tried to be nice but brought different order and forgot to bring us. 2 mistakes in one night.....
The views of the city was amazing! The service was also outstanding. Here’s the but...food was mediocre especially the appetisers. We had the octopus and the burrata dishes and they were really not very good. The steaks were good but nothing I haven’t had before for much less money. Just go to the hotel bar and have a drink, you get the same view!
Nothing wowed us except for the view. Better to visit and take pictures but save yourself the expense of dining with minimal memorable impact. One cute factor was their side table dinner knife selection. Other than that, the complimentary bread, level of service, steaks (we ordered the 42 day ages Fillet and Ribeye) and side (Mac & Cheese) did not impress. It you have money burning a hole in your pocket and need to feel un-impressed, this is your spot.
First of all it was my birthday. And my husband surprised me with this spectacular place. Outstanding service, food and amazing view.
I had requested a seat by the window and mentioned it’s a bday celebration but none of them was honored. We barely got the wine and a seat opened up by the window I asked the waiter to move us there. He said he will check to see if he can he didn’t come back for 10 minutes and someone else got seated there. The New York steak, the halibut fish was okay .. for that price I had better quality food in more than few places. With exception of location nothing else was great, just average good
Had dinner here on a Friday night. Service was slow and took us long time to get entrees. Steaks were good but very expensive. Wine list very extensive but probably priced at a 4x mark up. Great view but atmosphere a little cold and noise echoed in room.
This is my go-to place for any speacial occassion. Everything is just superb!
Spectacular views even from restrooms. Food was good but very pricey!
First time there. Booked it only a couple hours in advance. Everything was perfect! Really was such a perfect evening, perfect food and service! Will definitely go back!
Celebrated my five year anniversary, the service was absolutely amazing very tentative and knowledgeable of the food, the view was gorgeous can’t wait to go back.
Honestly, the view is gorgeous, but for those prices, I expected the food to be outstanding. The octopus was good, but I have had better. The steak and lobster were on point, but the appetizers kind of failed. The oysters were not good. Sweet foam on oysters? I’ll pass. The scallops were good, but the cigar box tartar wasn’t. The escargot also lacked in flavor and richness. Their cocktail menu was mediocre and the one drink with mezcal was overwhelmingly bitter. Maybe go for the “experience” but be ready to pay a lot for food that should have met higher standards.
Absolutely wonder evening for my birthday celebration. Enjoyed every moment. Food was fantastic and the service was superb.
Beautiful view. Great service. Food for everyone with options. Definitely recommend, I’d go back if we were entertaining out of state/country guests.
The restaurant and service was grest. The views to the city are amazing. But the $95 dollar steak was over priced and it was not at the flavor or textured level of Rith Cris, Mortons stesk house and or Flemings. I was disappointed in the steak. Overall i guess i paid for the view.
I love the place I will definitely go back next time
We got the porterhouse streak for two but let me say what you pay for is the view and not the food. It was just alright. I was very disappointed. The view was beautiful though and the service was awesome!
La Boucherie was one of my favorite restaurants since its opening. But i got very disappointed visiting again after 6 months. First it was requested window sitting but unfortunately they didnt sit us near window even though it was a Saturday night and it was not crowded like before. Second you have to ask for everything from bread to mustard and salt. They dont bring knife board so can choose no more. I asked why the mustard is only 4 types it used to be like 12 the waiter told it was a waste, cmon you dont tell that to a customer. Anyways service sucked food was good thats why instead of 1 star i give 3. I expect nice service especially for 2 we paid $500. It was my last time going there i rather go to mastros.
First time here for a birthday. I was very pleased with the service and the food was amazing as well. I was only disappointed by the table I was given. I had asked for a table with a window view several weeks in advance and the staff was still not able to accommodate me.
Over priced food . You can get same steak at Capital Grille or Fleming’s.
An establishment which charges $1300 to feed five people with 3 cocktails, should be ashamed to charge $10 per basket of bread , not to mention each basket had 3 small 4-5” individual baguettes. It’s enough that everything is extra including the bland cold sauces! It’s pitiful that we paid $30 for bread and basic butter at a so called French steak house :(
The view is excellent, sunset of LA, will recommend to friends
Place is great! Service is good. Food can improve to be better to worth the price.
Great food. Service was mediocre for the price of the experience.
The view is spectacular - city lights from the 71st floor of the Intercontinental Hotel in DTLA. I was dining here for the first time with my family celebrating my birthday. I was received well by the hotel staff as we were directed to the restaurant after dropping off the car with valet. The hostess and the rest of the team were wonderful. However, what caught me off-guard was our server. For such a high-end restaurant, one would expect high-quality service, right? To start, my brother and I were discussing the cocktails with her and she zipped off, assuming my brother wanted the $50 XO Cognac drink. My brother had to get up from the table and chase her down to correct the order (we wanted Old Fashioned's). Appetizer and bread were good (unique presentation with the tartare). The main courses arrived before the sides and I get it - the kitchen can get busy. My brother's rib eye was lacking flavor and he had to ask for Tabasco and Worcestershire sauce. The truffle mustard was notably tasty. I inquired about the sides and the manager came over and reassured me that our food was on the way and that they would comp dessert. Dessert came with a "happy anniversary" chocolate sign and I asked if they had brought me someone else's surprise. Our server reassured me that it was mine, snatched the chocolate away with her bare hands and replaced with a "happy birthday." Usually if food needs a correction, the entire plate goes back and corrections are made, right? When I asked our server about parking validation, she said, "Oh, that's from another lot," and walked off. We got valet from their hotel. I was confused "what other lot" she was referring to. Anyway, I asked the hostess on the way out and she helped me out. To my disappointment, I felt a a bit dismissed and rushed throughout the entirety of the meal. My family enjoys exploring restaurants because it's our way of catching up with each other. Unfortunately, I don't think we will be coming back.
Dear Melissa, Thank you for visiting La Boucherie. Your feedback is greatly appreciated and we will be sure to share it with our team. I sincerely apologize that your expectations were not met, as customer satisfaction is very important to us. Please email me directly to discuss further details. Kinds regards, Sunny Saha Director of Food & Beverage InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown
Beautiful view, lovely restaurant ... food forgettable and service similar to Sizzler. I have been to La Boucherie twice before and Restaurant deserving of accolades then. Somehow, someway La Boucherie took a incredible nose-dive out of their breathtaking window view and into the common restaurants of downtown LA. It ha moved from a 5-star dining experience to one star at best.
The food and service were fantastic, and the view was spectacular. We enjoyed our dinner while watching the sunset high above downtown Los Angeles, with amazing views of the hills from Santa Monica to Palos Verdes and the coast line in between. The service was perfect-- attentive and personable, while not intrusive. The steaks were cooked perfectly, the wine pairing was ideal and the flaming chocolate dessert was the ideal way to cap the evening.
