Very rude welcome from the bar tender . Slow service. Cold food ( onion soup and meat )
I went there just after they started and it was great.
Obviously they lowered their standards.
Not worth it for the price ( 400+ for 2)
It is a beauty hotel with superb view. Decor is wonderful. Great for group or couple dining. Food wasn't as great as I was anticipating for such a nice restaurant. I will still recommend this place due to the atmosphere. The hosts were great and service was wonderful.
Great restaurant all around. Couldn't ask for anything more.
Incredible views. Amazing food. Five star service.
The place was not as beautiful as in the photos but the view was beautiful! Food was ok. ive been to better restaurants but the price was reasonable. Our waiter though was very nice and accomodating. It was a good experience overall.
The butternut squash soup was $20+ and was maybe 4 spoonfuls of soup. Very disappointing. Ribeye steak was good, but for $95, you can get a better steak for less at almost any other fine steakhouse in the city.
The atmosphere is great, service good but not outstanding which is what I would expect from this level of dining. I had a tomahawk steak for $155 which was grass fed, yadda, yadda. It tasted fine but not great. I’ve hade better at Mastros, Ruth’s Chris, and even lesser known establishments. In fairness maybe their specialty is seafood which we did not endulge. The sides tasted good and our cocktails were good as well. It’s good for a date as it has stunning views. But I would not repeat my visit. We had a modest dinner, shared the steak, yet spent close to $300.
Amazing service and great food, sometimes when a place has something really nice by it wether it’s a nice view or something else, the food can be an after thought. Everything we had was incredible. Can’t wait to come back
My fiancé and I came to La Boucherie for his birthday. We were seated in the way back, in between the private booths and another party. It felt like we were in a hallway with all the staff constantly walking past us to get to the party or booths. Got a later reservation, so the two other tables around us were empty. It was too quiet - felt like the staff could hear everything we were saying. Waitstaff forgot to ask us what we wanted for mains. We had to notify them. We ordered a charcuterie board that came with tableside honeycomb service, which they forgot. When we asked for it, they just gave us a side dish of honey. They didn’t bring out seasoning for my fiancé’s steak until he was halfway done eating it. Before they brought it out, he was telling me that it was well cooked but flavorless. Also, really hate the iPad and giant, heavy light-up menus. Tacky for a fine dining establishment. Overall, thoroughly underwhelmed by the entire experience. The view was lovely and most of the dishes were tasty (minus the sad, unseasoned filet mignon situation), but they did not make up for everything else. I would recommend asking to be seated in the front area closer to the entrance if you do choose to spend a few hundred on dinner here. Otherwise it’s seriously not worth it. There are definitely better steakhouses in LA.
amazing views, delicious food, & great service!! overall amazing experience!
Food was good portions and taste was impeccable. Pricey but worth every penny. Great wine selection.
Absolutely one of the best places I’ve ever been too that serves steak and lobster. The food, service and ambiance was perfect. A big thanks goes out to Jackson and the crew that serviced us!
Franch chef only do food explainition for whoever they want and only ask feedback as that way. So that means rest of ppl probs doesn’t feel good tho
If you want to impress your spouse or girl friend get a booth by the window side and she will fall in love with you.
Beautiful night view of down town LA from a table booth with so much privacy that you don't see any one else around but her and the view.
This restaurant is stunning and the food is terrific. I highly recommend this place to everyone. Great place for a romantic dinner or a upscale business meeting. Food is outstanding, drinks are perfect, and the service is golden. Also, the view is breathtaking. The staff are very personable and polite and Paul Fontenelle, the manager, is a wonderful person. He helps you with anything that you need and beyond. Amazing place with an amazing atmosphere and crew. This is a must if you are in California.
Service was outstanding, staff were very attentive, food was delicious and were greeted and seated right away and my special requests were both accommodated, overall it was a wonderful experience, worth the visit. Will definitely visit again!
Only issue I would say was that although their website states that they have a dress code, most people were very dressed down, even in jeans and they were not turned away.
Amazing food, just exquisite ! The view and setting also enhance the experience !
Just had charcuterie service and drinks. Food was good but companion noted staleness of one meat
item. Service was respectable. View is outstanding. Don’t know that I would patronize regularly if
I lived in the area
Incredible views. Started just before sunset and finished with the lights of the city. The octopus was amazing
Way overprice LTD for the quality of food. Portions are very small and no real wow factor as far as the food is concerned.
I would definitely recommend this place.amazing place and can’t say enough good thing about their services.I would 100% recommend friends and family to go and experience the great food and amazing view.
Really bad service. took over 50 min to get our dinner. My steak was really cold and there was no point to wait another 50 min for them to re-fire another. I had requested them to put candles on my dessert for my wife's B-Day and they said for sure and they did not. i had even requested it on open table. I expected a lot better for the amount I paid. Will not recommend to anyone.
Service was very good, but food was just average, especially considering the price. Tables are so small it feels like a lounge instead of a restaurant.
New York steak cooked to perfection
The staff was outstanding and most friendly. I took my wife here for her birthday and she loved it every minute. The view was breathtaking. I asked for a seat by the window and they honored my request. They brought my wife a birthday treat at the end of our dining and one of the staff members even took a picture of us with my phone. We tried Elk for the first time as a recommendation from the waitress and we loved it! We will definitely be returning soon!
Me and my 14yr old daughter celebrated my birthday there at the hotel... we had the best seats in the house, a table by the window that overlooked the L.A. night life... the staff was amazing at making us feel "fancy" for the night. Never did they make us feel out of place or uncomfortable... my daughter being pescitarian tried the duck and loved it.. thank you for making our mother daughter time memorable 💛
Good tasty food, but overpriced. And don’t go on a cloudy day like I did, because all you’re going to see for your view is going to be a white window.lol.No view Smh
Great food, presentation, customer service and views all around! Try to sit at the skyline booth if you can.
We got cozy table for two with spectacular view of city lights. Food was good but I would not say it was outstanding. I ordered rib eye which we both thought tasted like New York strip. Beat salad very good. Butternut squash soup good but portion was small. Lamb was good but not outstanding. Could use more of charred effect with more flavoring. Dessert indicated it included ice cream but we got sorbet. Waiter had to bring side of ice cream. Overall we had a good time.
First time there,,we loved it
Very good everything
Wonderful atmosphere and great service. Food was fantastic.
The service was really great overall but where our table was placed it just seemed that they would forget us from time to time .
Meats and cocktails were delicious !!! The sides could be a little better . I will be back !
Enjoyed every second of it. The staff is respectful and very attentive. I will return.
Some menu choice is very expressive
We went to this restaurant to celebrate my husband’s birthday and promotion; it was nothing short of amazing. The ambiance was relaxed and the view was to die for! The waiters were also very accommodating and knowledgeable about pairing condiments and drinks and where the best places were for taking pictures. We will definitely be back and will bring our families next time! Highly recommend this place.
Valentines dinner, was absolutely perfect. The restaurant is located in a highrise in DTLA, you take a private elevator to the 71st floor I think it was. We got the Starlight Booth, very private, service was excellent, ambiance, one of the most romantic table setups I've ever seen. Huge cylinder shaped seating area thats private and intimate. The view is incredible, about 10 feet right in front of the table is all windows so you see the city at night while dining. The chefs menu was delicious, but thought the food could be better for the price. Not saying it wasnt good, just expected more. All in all, I would totally recommend this place for any couple thats looking for a romantic dining experience. Make it a night to remember, get dressed up, grab her hand and go! You wont forget it!
