Business casual / cocktail attire.
Service was impeccable
We were celebrating a birthday and opted for a private Starlight Booth. Every aspect of the experience was great. Service, view and food. Keep your receipt to access the 73rd floor outdoor Spire bar and avoid the cover charge.
Great service. Great food.
The place isn’t that great! I got the feeling they haven’t decided if they are going to be an upscale restaurant or just your casual stop by in the neighborhood place. Although I made my reservations 2-3 months ahead. I didn’t get the table by the windows. I believe it is first come basis. My filete mignon was over cook, the cut was fine, but they killed the essence of the steak. Drinks are good! And yes, deserts, deserts, extraordinary. Unfortunately for them, Morton’s Steak House is across the street, and that is a place you want to experience. Yes, you are in the 71 floor, view is Amazing, but other than that? Not worth your money! We stop by the roof bar, ok, I guess. We end up at the District! Our favor place to hang out! I will probably go back during lunch time, I work in the area. For special occasions, ah, nope.
The bread is very low quality and causes one to question the rest of the food experience. Continually disappointed with the bread. Tastes like they’re purchasing from a mass hotel conference vendor instead of making fresh or purchasing from a quality bakery such as La Brea Bakery.
It’s perfect place to celebrate with your love one. From the service, food , ambience to the view, everything is incredible. Highly recommend.
The view is amazing on 71st floor. The service and the food worths 5 stars.
It was our first time there and we were celebrating my boyfriend's birthday. The food was great and the service was even better. We were very impressed by the extras like a selection of mustards (14 to choose from) and a selection of steak knives presented to us - to use with our meal.
I would definitely go back!
And the view was fantastic.
Food was amazing and service was 2nd to none, John was our server and I will ask for home again.
Everything was great- it was a crowded evening- so lapse of attendants on some parts. But the quality of the steaks and the overall dining experience was very exquisite!
The waiter was absolutely the best. So much effort put in to making our meal amazing. Food was delicious, wine list was somewhat limited but did have a nice variety.
The ambience is very nice, the view is incredible and really beautiful. The staff was excellent. We also have a choice of different kinds of salt and steak knives. Paradoxically, the steak that this restaurant is celebrated has disappointed me. My wife had a great steak, I had it unfortunately completely dried (still good). Unfortunately I booked a few days before the table at the window, the booking was confirmed and we did not get this table ... Overall, however, the restaurant experience is great and I want to believe that my steak was 1 in 1000 that did not work perfectly. I can recommend the restaurant.
BTW. The 71st floor offers a great view of the city even from the toilet.
Easily one of the best restaurants in all of Los Angeles.
Our main course takes one hour, other than that very good.
Celebrated my 25th birthday overlooking the LA Skyline- what a view! It was the perfect place to enjoy an intimate dinner with my second half. We will be back!
Service was amazing. The city view was mesmerizing. The food was good.
Our waiter and the gentleman who assisted him(showing us the different types of mustards and presented our dessert) were just absolutely great. Our waiter was Jackson and I wish I remembered the other gentleman’s name but even my SEVEN year old son on his own said, “our waiters are really good and nice”. The restaurant itself is beautiful from the view to the different knives you can choose from for your steak. The steaks were cooked to perfection, the cocktails were made well, and their dessert with the chocolate ball was incredible. Not something I can afford on a weekly basis but if I could, I’d be there all the time!
Romantic dating place
Staff was incredible.
Improved greatly since it first opened. Our waiter was MIA during most of the meal but there is so much support service that we did not miss him. Appetizers were good. Sreaks were excellent but unreasoned. Having said that, we were offered choices of salts, mustards and knives. The wine list was on the overpriced side with a minimum 3x retail markup for unknown wines.
At the end of the day, you eat here for the view and the steak and a cocktail.
Came here to celebrate our first anniversary. Beautiful location, and a memorable experience. The staff was very attentive.
Great place and great food. It was a great find and can’t wait to go back!
FIVE STARS!!! Absolutely brilliant service and phenomenal food. Request a window seat......71st floor.....sunset over the city is priceless. Thank you for making my Agent’s birthday a fabulous experience. Can’t wait to come back!!
We came to celebrate a birthday at a new restaurant with an amazing view. The food and service were great, but the noise level was a bit high because the large group behind us had a small child whom they ignored while they used their phones. The tables at the windows are too small to hold the plates of food. There are no table cloths. There is no carpet. The only French influence is the name.
Wonderful location, excellent service and great steaks! Definitely a special occasion place. The views are fantastic.
Great view and decor. We were a little disappointed not being at a window as I had requested but the views are good from most seats. Food was good. Steak was undercooked per my request but they got it right the second time. Service was excellent.
The food is amazing I love that you get a lesson on the food you're ordering. You get taught on all the options that go with your meal such as salts and mustards. Amazing its my 2nd time going and both times I have enjoyed every part of the meal from the moment you get seated you have the full attention of your server.
Being a foodie I could appreciate the quality, preparation technique and presentation of each course although a little rich for my palate (but then again its French food). The 21-day Spinalis was the highlight, especially with the forest mushroom reduction. Service was top-notch as one would expect for the price, attentive and on-point but not over-bearing. Ambience, especially the view from our quaint window table was awesome even without being in a starlight booth so I'm glad I didn't splurge for it. I paid for the overall experience it being a special occasion, however admittedly I cook as well if not better at home especially for the price ($$). If you want to impress based on being on the 73rd floor, the view, the service, coursed meals, etc. then this is a cool place to experience at least once but not an everyday/weekly indulgence.
We went to La Boucherie to celebrate our 5th Anniversary and our overall experience at the restaurant was EXCELLENT! After sunset, the view of LA downtown is superb! I picked this restaurant because of the fancy dessert "Mousse au Chocolat". We had Tomahawk steak as the main entree and the taste was perfect! 15 different sauces for the steak were presented to us and we each picked 4. The sauces were good, but we still preferred the 2 types of salt for our steak. For appetizer, we had "Cocktail de Crevettes" and the reef prawns were huge! I love this restaurant so much that I will take my parents here.
I had the pleasure of celebrating my boyfriend's birthday at La Boucherie and we had a fantastic, memorable dining experience!
Our server Carlos was exceptional! He was so friendly and so attentive. They were even able to help me with my special birthday request that I made during my reservation a month in advance.
We ordered the following:
*Dungeness crab Salad - This was a really good salad and a perfect/healthy appetizer to share before the steak. We wanted to enjoy our steaks so we didn't want to fill ourselves up too much.
*Duck Fat Fries - This was also very good, but we weren't able to finish it as we started on our steaks. We should've asked for the fries with our salad, not as a side to the salad.
*Delmonico Filet Mignon - It was a lot bigger than I expected, it's not your average filet mignon size. I'm a big eater so this was definitely satisfying and really delicious. The Delmonico version costs a little more than their regular filet mignon, but I'd say it's definitely worth it. Very juicy and tender.
*Rib Eye - I had a piece of my boyfriend's rib eye. Comparing this to my filet mignon, I noticed it was less tender but more flavorful! It was also a bigger cut. I usually order rib eye's at steak places so I'll give this one a try when I'm back!!
*Chocolate Souffle Cake - this is quite the experience as they light up the cake and you can watch the chocolate melt!
I must also add that the interior/decor is very pretty and the view is amazing! If you want to treat yourself to a fancy steak dinner, La Boucherie is the place!
I would definitely return to La Boucherie with my family and friends from out of town.
FUN TIP: If you keep your receipt and take it upstairs, they'll waive the cover for Spire 73!
PARKING: They give you a validation for valet parking. I think we paid around $16 with the validation ticket.
Above and beyond in every way imaginable, from service and decor to food and presentation. I look forward to returning very soon.
very good service a la boucherie
happy to be at restaurant to enjoy view, good food, good service
The food, the scenic view, the luxury, the service, and all the invaluable qualities La Boucherie had to offer was worth every penny spent. I have never tried food this delicious in my entire life, and this is coming from someone who has traveled to almost every continent around the world. Truly nothing will beat the quality of this restaurant and how incredible the food was.
I read a lot of review that made me a little scared to go but I decided to give it a shot. When I got there I asked if it was possible to get a window table and they made a way to accomplish my request. My gf and I were seated and I was greeted by our waiter’s assistant and waiter, the service was amazing I must say; I has the salmon which was the best salmon I’ve ever tasted and my girlfriend had the job dory which tasted quite yummy as well. It was a little over priced to me but the view the service and how AMAZING the restroom was designed I guess the price was worth it to me. My birthday was truly an amazing night
The place was great but expect to wait 1 hour to get your food.
In town for wedding, allowed our teenager choose restaurant, staying at the intercontinental downtown. Beautiful location, wonderful service, the best wait staff ever, food was incredible, we had a wonderful evening. I can recommend it as the best meal I have had out in many years.
The people make the difference, from our bartender Juan, to our sommelier, Matthew and the most enjoyable Corey our navigator of the extensive menu and a true professional.
We enjoyed a wonderful evening of fine wine and exceptional food.
Will be returning soon!
We went there for our anniversary and my birthday dinner, the service was extremely polished and we were greeted and serviced properly and the server was on point and the food was amazing. I think the price is little high, but once I taste the food , I don’t think about the price was an issue, over all it’s a great place for dating. And if you want the window seat, you should reserve before hand, enjoy!
We were amazed by the friendly and comfortable ambiance. Excellent customer service from all employees .
